OAKLEY
My sister’s wedding is across the country. And I don’t fly. So I do the next best thing: I schedule an Uber. Do the calculation. That’s 2,854 miles, and 44 hours in a car with a complete stranger. You may be wondering what could possibly go wrong, and you’d be right to because who in their right mind would ever Uber across the country with someone they don’t know? Me. That’s who. And everything that can go wrong? Pretty much does.
BASH
My friends and I have a bet. $10 000 for whoever can get the worst rating as an Uber driver. Sounds easy, right? Wrong. Because my passenger proves to be more trouble than she’s worth. Unfortunately, I have no choice but to see it through. You see, I went from being a trust fund brat, to a broke brat, and my friends have no idea. Which is why tolerating my passenger is my only option. The question is: will we kill each other on the road, or will we fall into bed together along the way? Only time will tell, and until then we’ll just drive each other batsh*t crazy.

A love story / Rom-Com based on mishaps of Apps...I mean what a cool idea!!
It's hilarious, it's non stop, it's rib tickling laugh fest from the moment When Oakley Addington decides to Über her way from coast-to-coast.!!
Yup you heard that right. 2600 miles..EACH WAY!!. Who would be desperate or moron, depending upon who knows Oakley thoroughly, is willing to accept the offer? Well Yale Graduate, the maverick son, the forever object of ridicule, Sebastian "Bash" York is the one who nods his head and starts his meter. And all because he is in a betting pool with his friends to collect the most amount of One Star reviews.
It's like a guide to how to offend each other in 3 days ride, all going downhill and wheels Coming off at breakneck speed.
There's motel rooms, chilly cars, fogged up windows, car breaking down, the wedding itself with screaming step mother and upset bride and the ultimate betrayal right on display on social media!!
It's awful, humiliating twist that shakes their car-bubble throughly.
What happens in car doesn't stay in the car always and it's an eye opener.
I loved the flow, the rhythm, the feels and of course the laughs!!
4.5 stars for the Classic Car with modern romance

How could the cover and the blurb not catch your attention. It’s a cute, lighthearted read and a fantastic start to a new series.

Bash was a rich kid whose parents disowned him and is in dire need of some cash to pay off a debt. Taking a bet from friends to receive the worst Uber rating ever, he picks up Oakley. Hilarity ensues as Bash and Oakley travel from NYC to Napa so Oakley can attend her sister’s wedding.

UberG#sm is a laugh out loud romcom. Full of misadventures and one emotional journey. So climb into this Uber and get ready for an awesome ride.

This book right here!!! It was everything I wanted a Rom Com to be. (Y’all know I am a hard core Dark Romance reader)

Oakley, an almost 30 year old clothing designer with her own brand, hates flying. So what is she to do when her (ugh) half sister is getting married. Why she books an Uber of course, because what else would one do?

Bash, a socialite whose dad has cut him off, wants to go to College, but how is he going to pay? This playboy and his bros come up with a bet….get the lowest Uber rating possible.

And that’s how these two incredible characters end up crashing into each other.

The writing flowed phenomenally so much so that you couldn’t tell there were two different authors. You get comedic relief and the hotness and steam that will have your kindle ablaze.

Recommended for all those Rom Com lovers out there, this is one you don’t want to miss!!!

This is a fantastic start to a series. UberG#sm lives up to its name that’s for sure. The hilarity that poured from the pages had me laughing so much and that it something that we need right at this moment. I mean what could go wrong when travelling across the country, plenty, that’s for sure.

Bash is super cocky and had some of the best one liners and Oakley was a surprise pocket rocket. They were fantastic characters to read . You would have never guessed that this story was co written as the storyline blended and flowed perfectly.

Can’t wait to see what happens in the next APP instalment.

What can I say that hadn’t already been said over the numerous updates I’ve been posting during this rollercoaster read of a book.

I guess first thing is first - I don’t like romcom. Not a fan of movies and never read a book. But friends wrote this and they told me it has jokes… so I support and I read.

Well…..

It started out as most do. Then we took a little road trip from hell in the car from hell.

There were hiccups, wrong turns, detours and shared spaces. I mean it’s thousands of miles together. What could go wrong?

From the moment Bash left that one bag on the sidewalk and Oakley got into the car I knew it had the possibility of being funny.

I could hint at frogs, at small beds and penthouse suites. I could do all that but really I want to talk about the first book two best friends wrote together.

Firstly, they won’t confirm it and it took me a looong time but I think I *might* know who wrote which parts. That aside, it’s hard because the story flowed so well. Hooking you over and over again as they go through with this hair brained idea.

I laughed - god they made me laugh. And normally it’s dark twisted shit that makes me laugh. In this case second hand embarrassment was rife.

And I cried. I f***ing ugly cried. I can’t remember the last time I was so invested in a character that I cried with and for them.

Ultimately though, I was satisfied. My heart was content. I had read a great well written romcom book and you can be sure I now have to try the next one in this series.

Bravo ladies bravo … I can’t wait to have my own uberg#sm

Fun, fun, fun!

Let's be real, since last year we've all been in a bit of a funk, and in need of a little escape. For me, Uberg@sm by Robin Ash and Tamsyn Bester didn't only give me the break from reality I truly needed, it made me laugh my ass off, and then some. This novel is an easy-to-read, fun rom-com, perfect for taking on any holiday - whether it's on the beach, on the plane, or in the hotel. It's bite-sized, compact and hooked me from the get-go. I'll be honest, I wasn't really a fan of Oakley, she was too spoilt for me at first, but as the pages turned she slowly grew on me. Bash was my boy from the start. If you're looking for light-hearted fun, spicy scenes and LOL moments, this is the book for you. This is a great start to the series and I cannot wait for more from these 2 talented, incredible authors.

Oakley decided to take a Uber from New York to Napa Valley for her half sister’s wedding. Bash who is tight on money and cut off by his dad decides to take the job. You can imagine all the ways things can go wrong with this trip. Also can you imagine what can go right when you’re with the right person. Can these completely opposite people survive a road trip across the country or will they cut their losses and end it before things could get started?

I enjoyed this book. This is my first book from
Bester and my first non dark book from Ashleigh under the name of Robin. I am looking forward to more books from these authors.

Laugh Out Loud RomCom

I had a blast reading Oakley and Bash’s story! The uniqueness of the plot line, the bet between Bash and his two buddies, the angst, drama, and “will they or won’t they” all make this book awesome. I loved the banter between them, how they both group texted and video called their circle of friends, and how their family kept trying to put them “together”. The way it is written captured my attention and I could not put the book down. I am looking forward to reading Channing’s story next.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily giving an honest review

I have just found my new favorite writing duo. These authors bring something fresh and fun to the romance book world. It is evident of how much they enjoyed writing this book as you read the story of Bash and Oakley. These two characters are some of my favorites I have read lately. The banter and heat will have you laughing outloud and in need of an ice cold drink.
The unique storyline that brings something used daily by many, was a breath of fresh air. But there is also depth to the story that allows us, the reader, a deeper look into why these characters have this chance meeting. Uberg#sm is a modern day romance that you won't be able to put down. I can honestly say I can't wait for more from this pairing.

Uber fun read

The title and cover already had me excited to start reading the book. It screamed a fun-filled read and it sure did not disappoint. We get to go into the minds of both Bash and Oakley to see their views on the misadventures during the long Uber journey to a wedding. What could possibly go wrong? Find oht for yourself.

Oakley doesn't do planes or any other type of mass transport for that matter and when her stepmonster planned her half-sister's wedding in Napa she decides to hire an Uber.

Magnolia has been the worst as far as designing her wedding dress, especially since Oakley wasn't invited to be a part of the wedding party. If it wasn't for the grief she would hear she wouldn't even bother attending.

A 1955 Gullwing pulls up in front of her and at first, she ignores it until the young guy asks if she is his passenger. He is wearing jeans and a t-shirt in 8-degree weather! Did he steal the car? Who Ubers with a 4 million dollar car?

Bash pulls up to a gorgeous woman who is already angry since he is an hour late. Great! Because he has ten thousand dollars on a bet with his friends Roy and Ken on who can get the worst Uber ratings. Not that they need the money since they are stinking rich, at least they are since his father took away access to his trust account because he refused to work on Wall Street.

So he 'borrowed' one of his dad's prized cars that he never drives for this trip as a kiss-off to this dad and also for an uncomfortable ride for his passenger. Who hires an Uber to travel from New York to Napa? Then he sees a problem with his car choice because she has two suitcases and a large box sitting at the curb with her, but it's too late to get another car now since he is already late.

Because not only does the Gullwing have bucket seats there is no luggage room. Leaving behind one of the suitcases should get him a start on a bad rating and he is sure that on the 2800 mile drive to Napa he can annoy the hell out of her.

When his friends find out who his passenger is they up the bet. Sleep with her and the odds double, get her pregnant and they triple.

I loved this book!!! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and funny as hell. I never quite thought of a plane in Oakley's terms, but now I can't get the picture out of my head LOL!

Oakley is a fashion designer and when her mom died when she was fifteen her father just checked out on her and then he marries a stripper who got pregnant. Stepmonster, Charity, and her step-sister, Magnolia, are despicable and she does everything she can to avoid them. Not only did he seem to forget he had a daughter her father spends all his time with Magnolia, who she questions is even his child.

Bash wants more than anything to be a veterinarian, more specifically an equine vet, but his dad is adamant that he use his degree to work on Wall Street. Bash would rather be poor.

The chemistry between Oakley and Bash is stormy from the beginning of the book, but their sexual chemistry gets hotter and hotter the more they are forced together. If it could go wrong it probably did on this road trip, but I laughed through it all.

This book gives you all the feels. You laugh, you cry, and get so angry and at guy's antics. This book is a definite read and I will be looking for more books by this duo!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this book or the "new to me" authors. But this book is so cute and I LOVE IT! It's far from what you would ever expect. Even though I say it was cute the characters had lots of depth and everyday problems that they needed to overcome in their own lives. Oakley the main character is a designer who mother passed away and left her with a horrible and forgetful father and the typical evil step-mother and sister. But Oakley is her own person and has tried to distance her self from the drama they bring while running her own successful wedding design company. But she has dropped everything for her sister's wedding and on the way across the United States to attend the wedding. However, the catch is Oakley doesn't fly so the only way she can get from New York to Napa Valley is by...Yep you guessed it she hires someone to take her cross country in an Uber.
Uber driver, Sebastian, better know to his friends as, Bash, has signed on to take Oakley to Napa Valley. It really starts out as a bet between him and his buddies. Unfortunately, it is a case of 3 rich privledge boys having to much time and money on their hands. So they are trying ot see who can get the lowest rating and piss off the most customers. Bash really has more problems then even his friends know and the stress of everything starts to get to him. Oakley wants to show her caring side to Bash but she's been burned to many times before and well Bash needs to win this bet to get his self out of a tough spot.
Bash and Oakley are an unlikley pair but as they have unexpected detours and adventures they begin to get to know each other and find out they really have so much more in common than they ever knew. I would love to tell you all the details of how they connect and how they learn more about theirselves and each other but you just need to experience this book for yourself! It is my most unexpected suprise of the year and I'm glad I took a chance and read it! This duo is also coming out with a book for Oakley's bestie, Channing, and I can't wait to see what they have in store of us!

I'm going to be completely honest here and say that this book gave me a complicated mix of feelings. To start I found the books description very appealing. It sounded cute and fun and you know what? It mostly was but it was also some other things, some of them good and some of them (In my opinion) not so much. The story flows easily and I thought the writing was well done. My attention was kept and I felt quite invested in these two but that doesn't mean I always liked them and didn't have a couple of pet peeves with the story because I didn't and I did. A couple things as far as the plot just didn't seem plausible and it took me a while to actually like these characters. I went into this read expecting to not initially like Bash because of the premise of the story but I was surprised that I didn't really care for Oakley. Initially, her rich girl, privileged attitude was annoying and even off-putting. This made me feel a lot less sympathetic towards her. Thankfully, the focus doesn't linger here for too long and that let me move beyond that and actually get to like her. Bash had a lot of charm but his immaturity was not attractive. Again though, I grew to really like him. As a couple, I found this pair very appealing. They had great chemistry and a strong connection. They could be very sweet to each other and they generated plenty of sparks and steam. There is a little bit of a reverse age gap here (5 years) but I'm an age gap junkie, so that was a big plus for me. In the end I thought this was a very good read. It gives you lots of feels and some laughs. I enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next book in this series. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own and freely posted.

Uber G#sm ((App) Series Book 1) by Tamsyn Bester and Robin Ash is a campy, silly and preposterous story of Oakley Addington. A famous New York fashion designer of wedding qowns. Making her half sister's gown the wedding is in Napa. A sister she doesn't care for or her stepmother. Oakley doesn't fly so she has decided to take an Uber from New York city to Napa. Sebastian Flynn aka Bash a disowned rich kid has decided to take the trip. One he really needs the money to pay a gambling debt and two if he gets a worst rating out of this trip than his friends, he gets double. Like I said a ridiculous and unimaginable story. Loved it!!! I was so entertained.  I laughed so hard reading this book. This cross country trip for me would have ended when Bash pulled up in his car. Oakley knew the likelihood of getting anyone to take this trip was slim to none so she endured. Bash however on this trip found more to this adventure than he could have ever expected. Each has their own issues with their high society family and somewhere along the line they each overcome and grew. Speaking of growing, along this trip what turned into scratching an itch evolved into more, just as Bash evolved from a spoiled rich kid who was acting silly to a man who wanted more out of his life. Their relationship turned from barely tolerating each other to several uberg#sms. Oakley and Bash are both from the same world, each has family issues and each learned quite a bit about themselves and each other on the trip. I hated to see it end but I hope they will make and appearance in the next book. I have say that grandmother was an absolute hoot. She had me rolling. Despite the premise of the book, this book was 5 entertaining stars for me. Couldn't put it down.

Spanish & English Opinion

Trope: enemies-to-lovers
Cover: AMAZING! I love the pop art style 💜
Characters: she’s an A-type and he goes with the flow. Also, we have Charity and Magnolia who I Love to dislike.
Chemistry: 3.5/5
Story: original and funny

¡Recomendable!

🇺🇸 this is a very original story, and I really liked that there was a very present element nowadays, Uber. Bash is the hero and I must confess it took time for me to connect with him, because he was a jerk. But he grovels and that’s amazing.

Oakley is the heroine and her OCD makes her get into pretty funny situations, especially with someone like Bash and all the kilometers they have on their way.

The story is different, highly entertaining and there’s the promise for the next book to be just as funny. Highly recommended!

UberG#asm is the first book I've read by Tamsyn Bester, and I will definitely be checking out more of her Dating Apps series! Bash and Oakley were so much fun -- I could perfectly picture the silly situations in my mind as they traveled across the country in his dad's vintage Mercedes as client and Uber driver!

The personal relationship developed between them quite nicely, even if Bash did start out by trying to be the worst Uber driver ever to win a bet. I wanted to throttle Oakley's family at times -- her stepmonster was just evil! But Bash coming to her defense was a lovely turning point for these two. They opened up to each other in a way that neither of them was expecting to as they drove from Manhattan to Napa Valley, totally blowing their preconceived notions of the other away as they got to know one another.

My one complaint about this book is that I wanted to see more from Bash as he realized that he was falling for Oakley. I saw it coming, but I wanted to read his moment of realization that he was having bona fide feelings for her. Otherwise, this book was a damn good romcom, light and easy read that will leave you feeling good at the end!

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

4 Slippery Slimy Things. 🐸🐸🐸🐸

I really enjoyed reading this steamy Rom Com from these two authors. The quirky title, witty blurb and fun cover are real attention grabbers, and who doesn't love a good Romantic Comedy?

Oakley and Bash meet under unusual circumstances and embark a fun filled adventure across the country by Uber of all things, I actually loved how they met. I've never came across an Uber ride quite like this one.

Their journey is full of hilarious cringe worthy moments and unexpected surprises along the way. I really did laugh out loud for parts of this story, the light hearted comedy was brilliant and the tense build up to the romance was thrilling, steamy and addictive. A real feel good story with lots of drama, laughs, love and plenty of uberg#sms.

Well done ladies, I loved my very first Uberg#sm it was an unforgettable experience and one I definitely recommend to others.

I'm excited for more from The App series.

Funny and light-hearted, UberG#sm kicked off a fantastic series. It has been a long time since I’d read a book that made me laugh so much. Bash and Oakley had great chemistry. I loved their bickering and bantering. Bash’s best-friends and Oakley’s besties added much silliness and preposterousness to the story. This cross-country trip helped the couple learn a bit about themselves and each other. I had so much fun and greatly enjoyed this enemies-to-lovers rom-com and would highly recommend it.

I volunteered to provide an honest review of an advance complimentary copy of this book.

When you read the blurb for this book it is effective at drawing a factual narrative as to how this book is structured. You can see the idea and imagine the way this is going to play out… but stop right there!

You're COMPLETELY underestimating the pure genius this book is bringing to the table. Don't trust it's innocent pop art appearance. This book means business.

The writing is so perfect I'm not sure how to describe it other than: when (not if) they make a movie out of this book it will pale in comparison.

The characters are complex with real people problems and are relatable on a variety of levels. The sexual tension grows steady as the plot unpacks itself. When you hit the halfway point you know there is NO going back.

Wear your seat belt this book is sure to bring you through all the twists and curves.

This was everything I didn't know I needed in a romcom.

Oakley is almost 30 and needs an uber driver to take her across the country to her sister's wedding. Bash is many years her junior and has been cut off by his parents. He needs the money from the uber trip.

These two crash into each other's lives and create mayhem. Bash has a bet going with his friends to see who can get the worst uber rating. Cue Bash's intro to Oakley and the chaos that follows.

The writing on this one is great. There is so much back and forth between the characters, I was laughing out loud in places.

The steam is great and the story just flows so well. I loved Bash and Oakley together.

I highly recommend this one.

A GREAT START!!!

This is a new series but these two authors and what a way to begin. Oakley does not fly but she needs to get to her sisters wedding. So she hires an UBER and she thinks that's the way to go, her friends disagree. Sebastian is broke, so when his friends do a bet to see who can get the worst UBER rating he does not hesitate.
Oakley and Bash do not get off to a friendly start, but since its going to be a long ride they start talking. This book is a fun read, but does have its emotional parts that I loved as well.
I want more of Oakley and Bash and can't wait for the next book.

UberG#sm is EXACTLY what I needed! It was a fun and entertaining read that was a joy to read. Now the characters were not always my favorites, but I liked seeing how much Bash and Oakley both grew throughout the book! They also had major chemistry and totally enjoyed reading their banter!

All in all this was a fun read with such a fresh and crazy story that I couldn't help but enjoy reading it! People can change and it is always fun seeing it! I give it 4 outta 5 stars and am looking forward to seeing what comes next for these authors!

PS: Thank you to Tamsyn Bester and Ashleigh Giannoccaro for allowing me an advanced copy of the book to read and review honestly!

This book was a delight to read. You could tell how much fun these two amazing authors had creating these characters and all their ridiculous shenanigans.
The abundance of humor was perfectly paired with strong emotional scenes to leave the reader both laughing and feeling for these characters along the way.
Oakley and Sebastian were terrific. This was a fantastic book. I already can't wait to see what these two cook up in the next book.

One of my favorite tropes is forced proximity and this had plenty! I loved watching Bash try to hide his feelings behind the bet even while Oakley started to crawl under his skin. I also liked seeing the side of Oakley away from her family, she felt like a totally different person. This was such a lighthearted and fun read that I’ll definitely be coming back for future books from this series. Make sure to check it out!
