Dive into the secret, ancient, powerful world of two New Orleans families, the Deschanels and the Sullivans…

Broken and dispirited, the Deschanel family reels under the weight of a family curse. Lives were torn asunder, as their numbers diminished.

Amidst their pain, another prophecy takes shape. One laid by the ancient druidic Quinlan clan, in a time long forgotten. Seers across the family have borne witness to fragments. Distraught by the loss of her soul’s true love, Amelia begins to dream of an unknown man and a woman, designated by fate to live their story over and over again, throughout time.

Now, destiny reaches across the centuries.

In the family’s darkest hour, a reckoning with the Empyrean Senetat is fast approaching. Hope becomes the necessary consolation for grief, as the Deschanels come together to make their loved ones whole, in order to face this uncertain future as a united clan.

* I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. *

I have read every book that author Sarah M. Cradit has written, and each one gets better and better. Each time another is released I wonder how she can top the previous book, but somehow she does and they each become more amazing, enchanting, and addicting! I love the characters that Sarah has worked so hard to develop into part of my extended family as well as the new ones that she brings us in each story. She is a master at knowing when to let some go and when to give us a few more to puzzle over. The books are well written, the plot flows so quickly that you reach the end of the story well before you are ready and without realizing how much time has gone by since you were enchanted, committed and flung into the world of the Sullivan's, Deschanel's and their friends. You become a part of their lives as you are reading the books and think about the characters long after you have finished reading the book. They become a part of your life, and a part that you don't want to miss out on!

These books are best read in order so that you can understand what is going on, who the characters are and how they all fit in together. The books are told in order of their lives and the reader may have trouble connecting to the characters if they are not read in order. Each story that comes out offers a view into the past, but also the present lives of the characters. They are all connected in ways that the reader needs to know from the beginning, but just know that they are all just as powerful and wonderfully written. The author doesn't skimp on drama, details or information about any of the characters that become your friends as you read more about them.

These books are a must have on your TBR list and once you start reading you will be hooked and unable to let them go, even after you have read them all. There is no way for me to choose a favorite book or character, but I usually root for the underdogs (Tristan, Ana, Nicolas, even Mercy just to name a few). Enjoy this dark, twisted curse and the family struggles to be lifted from under it, you won't be disappointed by any of the books that she has written!

**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Asunder started strong, kept the momentum throughout and ended with me salivating for more. By the end of the first chapter, I had already felt both sadness and hopefulness and knew this was going to be the best one yet (well tied with Beyond Darkness: Anne, IMHO). Cradit’s incomparable way with words hooked me once again, and the story did not disappoint. Asunder continues The House of Crimson & Clover series and adds layers of character, family and story depth that make Cradit’s writing stand out above the crowd.

This story is Amelia and Jacob’s (mmm…Jacob) primarily, but Asunder has several stories and involves many of our beloved main characters as well as introduces us to new ones, namely Harriet, the daughter of Jasper and Pandora Broussard. Together, Tristan and Harriet carve out what’s sure to be an important place for themselves among the Deschanels and Sullivans. And let’s not forget about my first C&C love, Oz. He’s now battling Jacob for my heart, and he remains a significant part of the series.

One of my favorite aspects of Asunder is it’s hinting at not only what’s to come, but what’s already happened. Yes, that’s right, this story goes way, way back, and I can’t wait to get a better glimpse into the history of The House of Crimson & Clover!

Asunder is not a standalone, so catch up on this incredible series now so you can enjoy this little gem and prepare for the next big story, Empire of Shadows! It’s sure to define the word epic. I highly recommend this series!

I received an ARC from the author in return for an honest review

Following on from the devastating impact of the curse in Midnight Dynasty, the Deschanel and Sullivan families reorganise and regroup. The curse seems to be dormant for the time being and has given the Magi Collective a breathing space, even though the huge emotional backlash of shock and horror is an enormous strain, being felt by members of both families.

An unimaginably grim year sends Tristan on a path of self-destruction, but he is saved by something and someone completely unexpected. The full extent of Adrienne’s misguided attempt to bind Oz and Amelia is realised. But can it be reversed? Despite her pain Amelia still believes, and needs to justify her decision to set Jacob free, is the right one.

And Jacob, oh my goodness, Jacob. Overtaken and overwhelmed by his own belief that Amelia is lost to him forever, he takes desperate measures. Nothing, not even his family disaster, could ever bring him so low.

The more I read of this series, the more Sarah Cradit’s so very imaginative storytelling, tense and gripping, and wonderful characterisations draw me in, so completely, to the lives of this fascinating family. The future is still precarious and there is still the Empyrean confrontation hanging over them, but have the families put the worst behind them? I can’t wait to find out.

I really recommend reading this series from the beginning, in order to know the characters and for everything to make sense.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Cradit’s latest installment of her House of Crimson and Clover series is one of my favorites. Beyond Midnight: Asunder (House of Crimson & Clover #3.5)continues the story of the Deschanel and Sullivan families and their mysterious tie with an ancient race known as the Emperyans.

While Midnight Dynasty primarily introduced readers to new characters and the foreboding curse that has threatened the Deschanel family for as long as the family has kept records, Beyond Midnight: Asunder (House of Crimson & Clover #3.5) begins to put together some of those new characters and story lines. It was grand to get a glimpse where those new characters and relationships might be taking the story.

The seers in the Deschanel family have broken memories of a prophecy involving another family, and Amelia, who is one of the Deschanel seers, has begun to have strange dreams that basically tell her of this same prophecy. Reincarnation of a destined couple might lead to the end of the curse and the survival of the Emperyans.

There are some books in this series that can be read as stand alone books, however, Beyond Midnight: Asunder (House of Crimson & Clover #3.5) is not one of them. Fans of the series will undoubtedly love this addition to the storyline. The plot is well paced and the characters are well developed. For those readers who are not familiar with Sarah Cradit's series, this one will make you want to bump it to the top of your TBR list.

When I finished the previous book in this series, I was ready to hurt someone - the author because she ended the book on a cliffhanger, a character who performed an act that had serious consequences for so many - I was anxious for the next book in the hope some situations would be resolved to my liking. After reading this book, I'm a happy girl.

With so many books in this series, some may think the reader would grow tired of the same characters, but that's definitely not the case with The House of Crimson & Clover. The author constantly puts her characters in different and challenging situations and new characters are introduced into the mix to shake things up a bit, making it impossible for this series to grow stagnant.

The writing is top-notch, the story gripping and fast-paced, and the character development incredible. With the way this book ended and the sneak peek of the next, once again, I will be impatiently awaiting the next installment. As with most books in this series, this is not a stand alone and I recommend reading the others first.

Ok where do I start?? I love the relationship between Jacob and Amelia. I love that we know the cause of what's going on between Oz and Amelia but no one else does. It makes me feel like a outside observer but also like a member of the family at the same time. Sarah has made the characters so real you fall in love with them and care for each of them, some more than others lol. I am so happy that Tristan seems to have found someone to make him happy. In the last book what Lou and Adrienne did to Oz and Amelia made me want to strangle her. I am hooked on this series and don't want it to end. The sneak peek at the next book at the end has me impatiently pacing the floors. This is definitely not a stand alone book, reading the rest of the series before this is a MUST. If you're looking for a series that will keep you on the edge of your seat and falling in love with the characters then this is the set for you.

Speechless. Sarah Cradit has outdone herself with Asunder. I have read every single one of her books and have seen her writing go from very good to OMG great. She has matured as a writer and this latest book shows the depth and breadth of her writing. If you were distraught after reading Midnight Dynasty, then reading Beyond Midnight will soothe your soul. Sarah brings the Deschanel curse full circle, yet sets the stage for her next book. And with the maturity of her writing, I can only imagine the next book.

In Asunder, Cradit brings key characters to the forefront and has the reader cheering for their decisions, even if they are crying for the hard choices.

Bravo, Sarah! This was an incredible thing to read - eye candy for the soul.

Just when you think Cradit can't surprise you anymore, she pulls another rabbit, and another along with a cow, out of her hat. The twists and turns in this series are never-ending and so thrilling. I adore the characters and can't wait for the next story to release!

Beyond Midnight: Asunder by Sarah M. Cradit is a 2014 publication. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

In this latest House of Crimson and Clover installment we find the Deschanel family torn apart by a family curse which as greatly diminished their numbers. Those dealing with the pain and loss most acutely are Oz, Amelia, Jacob, and Tristan whose story is this book's main focus. Oz and Amelia are dealing with the consequences of their dream walking. Jacob is dealing with his and Amelia's breakup and Tristan is in full blown meltdown mode.
Each character will undergo life changing events before all is said and done and a new prophesy will be revealed.

As I complete each book in this series I often believe I have a clue where things are headed. I am always surprised when I open the next book and discover yet another avenue the author is taking us down. Big reveals abound and new doors are opened as well as new places to explore. The druid storyline is a new one and liked how easy that fit right in with this family. The author gives us a reprieve from the dark and heavy emotional ringer we went through in the last installment. I found this book had a healing atmosphere as each of the troubled characters featured found release, peace, new purpose and are set on the path they need to be on. It was also an epic love story in many ways. I loved that part of the story the best, since I knew deep down it was meant to be this way. As always I was completely involved with the characters and the story, and once more I read it all one sitting. Now I have to wait impatiently for the next book to come out.

Phew. This one was alot easier to follow. Not as many points of view.

You see Tristan struggling, on a destructive path. Alcohol was his best friend. That was until he found a purpose, a soul to save. He went from an emotion wreck, to a hero.

Amelia awoke from a three month coma with a little help, but that help cost a life that was already dying. Relationships that were destroyed, came together again.

The writing is brilliant again but i still feel as if there is too many people to keep on top of. But overall an emotional read.

I am still dying to know what happens to Ana's son.

Another Prophecy..

The Deschanel family is still trying to recover from the curse.

This book focuses more on the relationship development between the main characters and

there was an update on previous characters.

Overall, the story line was entertaining and I look forward to the next book in the series.

LC Kane did ok with the narration.

In the aftermath of the curse, many of the Deschanel lives were taken. The rest are left to pick up the pieces. Young Tristain loses himself in a bad way. Amelia, Oz, and Jacob find themselves in a strange love triangle. New exciting characters are introduced. No one is sure if the curse is over or if it has only just begun. A fantastic read!

**This book was provided by the author to Nerd Girl in exchange for an honest review.**

After the tragedies that occurred in Midnight Dynasty that left me shocked and reeling, I continue on with this installment to the series.
With the family curse laying dormant for the time being, we face yet another looming threat from many years ago. Could it be a new curse? Still overcome with that sadness that left me breathless from the previous book, I continue on the journey with my beloved characters (who are now more like family).

In this installment we watch Tristan down spiral, Amelia and Jacob go through utter and complete hell and we discover even more danger in store for the family. With so much pain, doom and imminent danger lurking in the shadows, will this family survive yet another complete travesty? Guess you will have to read to find out!! Haha

No spoilers from me this time. Not even a spec of one. I encourage you to read this series! Sarah Cradit is one amazingly captivating writer. She does no over do it in any way. This series is unified, unique, aspiring, captivating and under no circumstances is repetitive! The mystery, romance, tragedy, despair and over all incredible storyline will suck you in and keep you along for the ride until the bitter end! As always 5 STARS across the board! You have out done yourself yet again!!

After the last book, I wasn't sure whether to laugh, cry, or punch babies. It was such an emotional roller coaster. In this installment of the Crimson and Clover Series, we take a step down and spend a bit more time on the relationship aspect of the characters.

Again, Sarah has impressed me by taking a couple of characters, making them the "main" characters, but never leaving out the family, if you will. Each book focuses on a different set of characters as the main focus. But you will find, all of your friends, including Oz, Nic, and even Ana, are included somewhere in the story. This really is a refreshing way to write a series!

See, too often does the "main" character of a series get stuck in a rut. You find yourself reading the same situation book after book. That does not happen in the Crimson and Clover Series. Each installment focuses on a different set of characters. Well done!

I truly enjoy each book thus far. I highly recommend this series for anyone who likes a little magick and powers but does not like being inundated with fake scenes. I dare you to remember these stories are fiction. It's hard as they are written so realistically! I've said it before, don't take my word for it. Go read them! Go!

Title: Asunder (Bk 4 in the House of Crimson and Clover Series)
Author: Sarah M Cradit
Reviewer: Dawn Hartzburg

In the fourth installment of The House of Crimson and Clover series we continue to follow the story of Tristan, Jacob, Amelia, and Oz. Now that Amelia is awake it seems that she is more confused than ever because while she knows in her heart that she loves Jacob Donnelly more than anything in the world she cannot explain the pull that she is having towards Oz Sullivan. While she is trying to figure things out for herself she tries to distance herself from both men. But how can you do that when one has access to your mind?

Jacob Donnelly knows that something is seriously wrong with Amelia because she just isn’t acting like herself since she has been awake. So with that in mind he implores Amelia’s parents to help him fix what is wrong with Amelia. But what they find in the process is something that is very unthinkable and they remain hopeful it can be reversed. When they learn of what has been done can they overcome the obstacle and can Oz overcome the grief that he will be left reeling in because of the truth? Will Jacob and Amelia get their happily ever after or will they be destined to pain and suffering?

This summer's "Midnight Dynasty" left House of Crimson and Clover fans everywhere as broken as the Deschanel family of New Orleans. Like Tristan, we mulled over each word of Julianne and Ophelia's diaries hoping to see something, anything that could help us figure out the curse. We witnessed Katja and Allain's hopefulness turn to crippling despair. We fought - as Jacob did - to hold on to Amelia, the love of his life. And we listened to the summer rain with Nicholas as he held his little sister for the last time. But in true Cradit style, she tears you down - making you see and experience human emotion and raw pain - and then builds you back up again. Asunder is the mountaintop. Yes, you will be taken on another journey, but when you reach your destination... where two souls finally realize their destiny, it all will be worth it.

This is not a standalone book...you wouldn't want it to be. Start at the beginning of this passion-filled series with St. Charles at Dusk, and don't stop till you reach Beyond Midnight: Asunder. Then read it slow and often. 5 everlong stars.

Every time I get to the end of a book in the Crimson & Clover series, I'm left reeling. Every time I think I have a handle on the Deschanel family, I learn something completely new - and utterly unexpected. Sarah Cradit has mastered the art of providing a complete story, sans cliff-hanger ending, that still leaves you anxious to read more. Asunder is no different in that regard.

By the end of Midnight Dynasty, I was exhausted. The amount of heartache contained in that book was so overwhelming that I needed to take a few days off before diving into this one. The dedication states, “For my readers: When you finish this, perhaps you'll forgive me for tearing your heart out with Midnight Dynasty.” For that reason, I was surprised to discover this book still had a fair degree of heartache and suffering. Luckily, it ends on a much happier note, so I guess I'll have to forgive her. And I have to recommend this book too!

Unbelievably, this series just keeps getting better and better. I spent this entire book on the edge of my seat only to find that by the end of it, I was so unbelievably happy.

I don't like to give away too much of the story but let's just say, in Asunder, this family starts to heal a bit it seems. So much had happened that they just needed to have a bit of a break.

Jacob is my heart. I just love his character so much and to see what he is going through breaks your heart. Tristan, who is my favorite character from this series, has gone down a dark path and needs to find something to pull him out of it. So much going on with these families that you just are pulled in so many directions and your heartstrings are stretched to the point of breaking.

Sarah makes you think and feel for each and every character. You leave breathless and emotionally invested. When I get one of her books I immediately have to read it. And I recommend you do the same!

Absolutely fantastic and beautiful, I give this book 5 lipsticks!

Let me start off by saying, as far as the dedication goes...Apology Accepted! Consider yourself officially forgiven. As far as the book goes...

Beyond Midnight: Asunder is a great book. Not nearly as tumultuous or heart pounding as the last couple of books by Sarah Cradit but definitely still a 5 star read. My heart ached for Tristan throughout this book as he struggled to come to grips with the roller coaster, and not the fun kind, that has become his life. And Harriet? Gah! I love when Sarah introduces new characters to this series and she's going to be a great one. I can tell! Also I can't wait to see what the future (and the past!) holds for Amelia and Jacob. Their story is so so interesting. I love the imagination, and the intrigue, and the feels that this author brings to the table. I have loved each and every new book in this amazing series even more than the last and Asunder is no exception.

I've been in love with this series since I read the first novel (the prequel, St. Charles at Dusk). Beyond Midnight: Asunder focuses on Tristan's epic fall and slow rise and Amelia and Jacob's crazy love story.
Tristan: "The wind rushed in, carrying the scent of grass and wood smoke. Outside, Tristan could see nothing except his loved ones, and the endless sky of stars. Not so very long ago, he'd gazed up into a similar sky, with similar hope in his heart. Then his world had fallen apart, taking his hope with it." (147)
Amelia: "Oh, how she longed to tell him, (Jacob) 'No, no I'm absolutely miserable without you. I'm lost. Devastated, and broken in ways I can never repair. I struggle to even breathe.'" (12)
I've grown so close to these characters that I feel like part of the Deschanel clan. While reading each novel my emotions bounce around like bingo balls in a plastic globe but I wouldn't want it any other way.

I voluntarily reviewed this book and I have not been compensated in any way.

The Deschanel family are reeling after the events of the previous book trying to understand and accept the latest happenings from the family's curse. Now an even older prophesy related to Finn's Quinlan family is starting to show itself, through some events and Amelia's dreams that feature a man and woman who have their souls tied together. The confrontation with the Empyrean Senetat is fast approaching and the family has to come together if they are going to face the coming storm.

This is the fourth book in the series and you need to read the previous books first. It was well written with everything clear and easy to comprehend. I have to say I felt for some of the family members who had such a hard time and difficult road to travel - the only consolation is that in order to truly appreciate any good time you have to go through a hard time first. Can't wait to read the next instalment now.

You will definitely need to read the previous books in the House of Crimson series. You won't be sorry. I usually like stand alone books but once I started this series I was hooked and I never want it to end. I just need More!
These books are amazing. Sarah Marie Cradit's writing is awesome. With every book she creates new characters and skillfully weaves the into the story. She gives us new insight and builds the characters we already know.
Asunder tells us about Tristan's struggles and possibly the person that will save him from himself.
We get some answers about what happened with Adrienne.
Jacob and amelia go through a living hell before their relationship changes drastically.
Is there some past magic that is leading the Deschanel clan into the future?
I can't wait for the next book. Get busy Sarah! We want more. 5 stars for Asunder.

Another phenomenal book in "The House of Crimson & Clover" series by Sarah M. Cradit. After holding my breath for what seemed to be the entire series this far, I was finally able to breath again leaving me with a big grin on my face and a farm fuzzy feeling in my heart. After all the heartaches, deaths and misfortunes that engulfs the Deschanel family for so many years, there might finally be a little something good to celebrate. Sometimes taking a chance on those we love and staying true to our hearts is rewarded with true happiness... For however, long it lasts...
WARNING: This series is highly addictive! I recommend you start reading only, if you know you have no work/school the next day... Once you start, you can't put it down...

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved this series and can't wait to find out what happens next., This book forces you to experience every emotion possible as you get to know the Deschanels and their extended family. We learn of the Curse that takes lives in mass throughout their generations. We learn of the special skills and abilities of the family. They are rich in finances and family spirit which only grows stronger thru their trials. The writer does a marvelous job of weaving a tale you can't put down and makes you eager to learn more and read more without caring how long it is. Each page makes you speed to the next to see what new thing is revealed. An excellent read!

I have never been this emotionally involved in a book series! My heart bleeds for this family and their pain and it sings and rejoices with their happiness. I found myself asking why this person or why that one through out the series. This book was just as emotional as the last one and a little bit happier. I'm so glad true love and destiny win in this book. Sarah Cradit beautifully weaves a tale that quickly takes you on the ride of your life. Even though she can tear a persons heart out in one book, she gives pieces of it back in the next. I want to know what happens next and dread the wait for the next book. I love this series.

This was another great story from Sarah.
I love the world she's built, layered with mystery, intrigue, and old family secrets.
This book was no different, it picks up where Midnight Dynasty left off
Amelia is still torn up over how she recovered from her coma.
Oz thinks he's in love with Amelia
Jacob knows Amelia is his one and only.
Now they need to get to the bottom of what is really going on, and it's not what any of them suspect.
I love the legend woven in. It's a great story.
All I got to say, Jacob may just beat out Finn for my favorite Sarah M Cradit Character
