Beachfront Christmas: Solomon’s Island Book 4 is written by Michele Gilchrest. Awesome things have happened since Clara Covington had inherited the mansion and fortune of the woman whose house she had been cleaning. She had been fired and had taken a job with Mike at Lighthouse Tours. She and Mike had become engaged and Mike had opened a second office on the island for Lighthouse Tours. Mae and Jonathan had gotten married; but still worked for the Tours and were very protective of it.
Logan Woods came into the office to meet with Mike; but Mike was at the other office dealing with a water leak so Clara met with him. He told her his plans to purchase lots near the North Tours office and put in another water tour company along with the expansions to storage he wanted to add. He wanted to take over Lighthouse Tours rather than be in competition with them, or he would love the competition.
When he had confirmed Clara’s opinion that Mike would refuse the offer, Logan started to get everyone on his side, no matter what. He began a series of sabotages. Would they work or would someone get hurt first?

Clara and Mike unite with the Mayor to save Christmas Lights and possibly Lighthouse Tours as well.

With Mike now owning both the Solomon's Island and North Shores locations, things were looking good for Lighthouse Tours. Then, ruthless businessman Logan Woods moves in determined to buy Lighthouse Tours or drive them out of business. They team up with the Mayor to help put on Christmas Lights and for it to also be a fund raiser to help them put a down payment on the Warehouse which would provide boat storage for the area. The whole town gets involved in the festivities. Jonathan gets Mae's family to come in early to surprise her and so they can renew their vows. Mackenzie is given a rare opportunity to become owner of the cafe and her and Brody are madly in love. Clara and Mike's parents get to meet in person and hit it off well. Then there is the Bridge Club who provide a surprise ending that is welcomed by all the residents of Solomon's Island.

I believe that this book brought things closer for Mike and Clara along with the others we have met on Solomon’s Island. Lighthouse Tours is getting competition from a greedy Rich out of town we who is playing hardball that makes Mike and Clara nervous. Brody and Mack continue to explore their budding relationship and their future. Ms. Mae and Jonathan are looking forward to family coming to visit and Jonathan has a few surprises up his sleeves. The mayor is in a bind the year for the annual Christmas Tree lighting and asks for help from Lighthouse Tours. Clara is nervous about meeting Mike’s parents for the first time. So much going on but it all works out to be the best time of the year! There are still questions to be answered! You won’t go wrong reading this book!

Best book of the series so far!

I've read the 3 books that came before and loved them. This was my favorite by far. Kudos to the author for drawing you in and keeping you wanting more. This book made me want to live on Solomon's Island. The characters are wonderful and I can't wait to get started on book 5! Michelle Gilcrest has made me a big fan. I can't wait to dive into a new series, when I'm done with this one of course.

This was a nice, holiday continuation of the Solomons Island series. There were plenty of "feel-good" moments that reflect on the spirit of Christmas--family, friends, traditions, and finding the joy in the little things. I look forward to the next in the series by this author. I received an advance copy of this book, and am freely giving my review.

Festive Spirit

What a wonderful celebration of town spirit. Love, relationships and the blessings of family make this another delightful read. Clara and Mack lead Lighthouse Tours and all the employees in decorating the town celebrating the festive season.

Nice and safe read

The writing is a bit stiff, like something a high school student might write. There are too many kisses on noses. Adults are beyond that level of showing affection.

Michale adds more drama to Mike and Carol's life when a rich business man wants to crowd in on their boating business. Come and see how the story continues.

I didn’t see (before reading) that this is book #4 in a series, so my rating is probably lower than if I would have read the first 3 books.

I totally loved the chemistry between all the characters including Mike and Clara, Brody and Mack, and John and Mae. The storyline made me feel like I was part of the residents on Solomon's Island and also put me in a festive Christmas mood. Definitely recommending it to all my friends and family.
