For years, I hunted my mates with unwavering determination, certain they were my enemies. When they broke the bond and left me shattered and alone on a mountaintop, I vowed to kill them for their betrayal.
Then… something changed.
They chose me over their allegiance to their alpha.
They saved me.
They fought for me.
They risked everything for me.
Despite the anger that still simmered in my chest, I started to see another side of them. I started to understand them.
I should’ve known Quinton wouldn’t allow anyone to steal his precious feral shifters away from him though. After his sick "experiment" on Frost, he's more powerful than ever, while we’re left broken and shaken.
I wanted to save the world from my mates.
But can I save my mates from the shadows?
Cursed Mate is the third book in the Feral Shifters series, a reverse harem paranormal shifter romance. It contains cursing, violence, anti-hero alpha males, steamy scenes, and a badass heroine who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty.
Callie Rose is a bestselling author who loves to write books that will grab you by the feels and not let go till the very last page. She loves twisty plots, tortured bad boys, strong FMCs, and redemption stories where that shit is *earned*.
This isn't a complaint you hear from me much, but this book had way too much sex in it. It took over the story and pushed a lot of important scenes to the background. Also at times it just felt off that these characters were in the middle of a world-ending war and yet took these really long breaks to have sex? The story was already feeling slow and started to get boring in the previous book and the over abundance of sex scenes didn't help at all. I'm hoping the conclusion will bring back some intrigue.
I’m glad we’re getting more POV from Malix and Frost. Some of the plot advancements seems like out of no where but it’s still a entertaining and action packed read. The sex is getting a bit repetitive but at least we’re getting group, finally!!
Reading this series is like being on a roller coaster with all the ups and downs that went on in it. Amora (FMC) & her Ex Mates - Kian, Frost and Malix are still trying to work out where they stand with each other. With that came plenty of very steamy scenarios. So much happens around that that it definitely kept you glued to it and with that ending im looking forward to the next book now. A brilliant read
Callie always takes readers on a wild emotional ride and Cursed Mate is just that. It's the third book in the Feral Shifters series, this series sort of savaged me I mean Callie took the idea of a rejected mate and ran with it. The discord between Amora and her mates was so heartbreaking, especially on Amora's side, they found themselves in a horrible situation that I didn't think they could come back from but Callie redeemed the relationship in this one. After the attack on Frost, things have now fully shifted between Amora and the guys and it looks to be permanent.
Frost survives his attack but the attack itself, and the events after, has left everyone emotionally raw, and not only have all four of them (Amora, Frost, Malix, and Kian) have started to analyze their feelings and is opening up to each other more. They are realizing and owning their feelings for Amora and Amora is doing the same with the guys. They are acting more like pack than ever before, they are finally forming a bond. The distrust is gone it's about survival now because the guys' old alpha Quinton has gone too far forcing the extra shadows in Frost, experimenting with shadow magic. They are finally aligned and have opened their hearts to each other which made for some very steam scenes. However, there were some touching scenes too, the bond between Amora and Frost is so special and Frost is very open about his feelings with Amora. Their relationship is softer, different from her relationship with Kian and Malix but not less or more. I still can't believe that things seem to be going good with Kian considering how he and Amora are always antagonizing each other. As for Malix, he was always there, playful with Amora connecting but he shows a deeper side in this book. Like I said Callie really redeem their relationship
Outside of their relationship however they got problems, Frost isn't at his best, Quinton has gotten more powerful, and they need help. It looks like the only possible help they can possibly get is from a pack who knows Quinton, who knows shadow magic, which means that their only hope is Felicity, Quinnton's ex-mate. Felicity isn't what I was expecting and there is something strong but soft about her, she is wise, confident, and intelligent. But that comes with age too, I don't know why it never occurred to me that Felicity and Quinton were as old as they are. Callie mentioned Quinnton putting the shadows in the guys before they were born but it never registered that Quinton and Felicity have to be older than the thirty-something-year-olds I've been picturing. Anyway, the gang asking Felicity for help wasn't a surprise she had to fully come into the story some way what surprised me more was Quinton. Dude is evil and the things he's been up to, really, there are no words. He has to have some kind of consequences for his actions and not just by people he's wronged but the magic comes at a price and how was he able to pull off what he did I will never know. I would love to know more about the shadow realm and its power, it seems very fascinating.
Cursed Mate was an excellent read but there is one more book in the Feral Shifters series. Claimed Mate is the conclusion to Amora's story. I have no idea how it's gonna end but Cursed Mate had one heck of a cliffhanger which makes me wonder how Callie is gonna wrap up the story in just one last book. However she does it I am here for it because between dual prophecies, crazy alphas, an unknown realm, shadow creatures, and a group fighting for each other, things are bound to get wild.
Book: Untamed Mate Read By: Ebook Author: Callie Rose Genre: Romance, Fantasy, Reverse Harem Recommend: Yes Spice:🌶️️🌶️️🌶️️ < b>Age recommendation: 18-30+ Years My feelings:
I loved this series. It's full of action and a good dose of smut. I love the main Mcs! They manage to pull you in without trying.
He pulls back just long enough to look into my eyes and growl one word, low and guttural. “Mine.”
Oh, now where getting somewhere good! I love the main MCS, and I love how they have finally gotten on board with her, where they should have been the whole time! Loved this one!
“Because I want to look at you. I want my brothers to see what’s theirs. What’s ours.”
Have read a few by Callie and I don't mind her Fantasy books, so far, so good!
I allow myself to be vulnerable by trusting them, by believing that they care for me.
Highly Recommend.

The Frost storyline made the book for me. I don’t know what it is about him, but he captivated me a little more than the others… okay, maybe a lot more.
I enjoyed this book a lot but for whatever reason I lost a bit of steam reading it and easily put it down where with the others I felt a desperate need to see what happens next. I may just not be in the mood for it right now.
This series is a solid read. I would recommend it to those who want a rejected shifter story. This definitely checks all the boxes.
I don't know how I got into these but I'm almost out the other side. So much of the story in these books take place completely naked in the woods. The amount of trees she's been slammed into would cause mass deforestation. 3 stars for the decent spice, I guess
I think this is were I jump ship. The repetition is getting to be too much and the sex scenes are kind of the same? I think this series probably could have been a trilogy rather than stretched over 4. We don't have enough movement in the overarching plot because the ground hog day sex took over.
Frost is dying or maybe even dead, but Kian won’t give up on him. He continues with chest compressions while Amora is mourning the potential loss of a mate, but at the seemingly last second, Frost breathes and opens his eyes. Only what emerges isn’t the Frost they knew. The shadows are in control and they want to destroy Amora.
Amora and the guys fight against Frost and eventually subdue him by knocking him out with a tree branch to the head. They chain him up in a cellar of an old farm house they find. Amora tries to talk to him and gets close to him hoping to bring him back, but Frost bites her.
When Kian and Malix are passed out upstairs, she returns to the cellar with food and attempts to get through to Frost. After a while, she manages to get him to come to the surface, but it’s short lived.
When they are sitting around discussing what to do o next, shadows pour into the house and attack. During the attack Frost breaks free and defeats all of the shadows, but once he has his attention turns back to Amora. Instead of running, she runs to him and clings to him pouring into him all her good feelings and their good moments, turning him back into Frost. As long as she’s near him he seems to be okay.
They decide to go to Felicity and her pack to team up and see if she knows how to help Frost. They get to the pack and Felicity agrees to team up against Quinton, and she rearranges Frost’s shadows so that they are more manageable.
However, when they go against Quinton, the stone is nowhere to be found and Quinton’s pack has new shadow wolves. They fight pack against pack, but Amora watches as Quinton kills Felicity(his mate) and part of Amora is broken.
They flee back to Felicity’s pack lands and Cormac takes over as Alpha. They go to bed, but are awoken in the night by howls of pain. Quinton and his pack came back to retaliate and now Quinton is a huge shadow wolf himself. They fight and shadows keep trying to take Amora into the shadow realm. Convinced that this was the moment the prophecy spoke about, Kian refused to lose Amora so he fought the shadows. The book ends with him being dragged into the shadow realm.
I've enjoyed this series since book 1. It stands out of the crowd of other rejected mate shifter series.
Our FMC and her men have come a long way since book 1. They are all finally on the same side, dealing with the consequences of Quinton forcing more shadows into Frost. Her men have finally seen the light and together they need to work out how to go up against Quinton who has not given up on his evil plans.
Of course this book ends on another cliffhanger, although I do think the cliffhanger that affected me the most was still the one at the end of book 1 where I could feel Amora's pain and betrayal.
When I think about what makes this series stand out for me, its that I can't predict how it'll go. Not all elements are unique, it contains many elements in other books, evil overpowered villain ... check, sassy heroine ... check, dangerous alpha males ... check. Even shadow realms aren't unheard of. But this series is well paced, well written and not predictable like so many others. As I'm reading it, my brain is painting scenarios about where it could go but I honestly don't know. Great series.
Fuck! Fuck! WTF was that ?!?! I mean seriously?????
So first off, I am sooo glad they finally had a group scene. I mean there was one with 3 of them (not going to spoil who ;) ) but eventually we get all of them!!! And it was sooo damn good. They went through a lot in this book. Their growth together as a group and what they faced was just sooo much. The hits never stop coming. Then the ending, that ending was OMG. Like if they don't ALL go then how will they save him? But at the same time, if they all go, how will they find their way back? It feels like there is no hope. It's all so fucked and I just really need to get through this last book because my emotions are running high. It's dinner time so I can't jump straight into it and its making me antsy. My family might just get burnt dinner tonight.
Spice 2.5/5 Humor 1/5 Emotional 1.5/5 World Building 5/5 Overall 5/5
This is the third book in the feral shifters series and is a direct continuation from book two "Untamed mate".
Trouble and strife are the main ingredients to this book. There's an endless stream of problems and issues, as one is resolved another is created there is no real downtime.
But there's still plenty of steam, and moments where true connections are embraced and reaffirmed.
The shadow wolves tone down their ferocity and anger in this book, and we see alot more of their humanity and shared brotherly bond.
Amora on the other hand becomes more of a fierce warrior. Doing what is needed to be done and generally stepping up her game.
I enjoyed this book, but must admit the ending wasn't what I wanted it to be. It won't stop me from reading the next and last book in this series though!
Well, book 3 had me on the edge of my seat for so many different reasons. I was so excited to finally get all of the characters opening up and actually talking about feelings rather than holding it all in. I feel like they all finally laid it out on the table, and it's about damn time. Each of their relationships really grew in this book and I feel like we finally got to see all of their individual relationships form and grow. I love each one, but I have to say im partial to Frost. I don't know if it's his ability to convey all of his emotions and thoughts into a single look, or that he is just unwaveringly loyal and kind. But that man, he does it for me. Unfortunately I finished this way too quickly and am not looking forward to waiting until July for the final installment. Quinton better have a satisfying demise, and if any of these mated men don't make it, there will be hell.
Cursed Mate was a good third installment in this series. After the events at the end of book two, I was really hoping for not only a solution to Frost’s issue as soon as possible, but also more progress on the mate bond front and to feel closer to a resolution to the overall problem. This book didn’t disappoint. I felt the story was moved along well. There were some pretty big twists and curves thrown in and once it was all over, I found myself more than ready for the final book. Especially after another big cliffhanger was thrown in at the end. The narration continued to be very enjoyable. I thought both narrators had good tones for the many different characters and even if some of them were a little similar sounding, it was still an entertaining listen.
4.5/5 Lord have mercy this is so addicting! Each book gets better and better. First of all Callie knows how to do a RH right. I love that we get to see Amoras relationship blossom with each of her mates. They’re all so different, but equally passionate and swoon worthy. I’ve always been more drawn to Frost because he is just so enamoring and adorable. But honestly I’m just a happy clam that she doesn’t have to pick just one. The different POVS in this book definitely helped build a better picture of each guy. Kian is starting to peel back his layers and boy is he a hot tamale. Malix has a gem of a personality and his humor is the cherry on top. And oh baby the spice is grade A. I’m so happy I stumbled upon these books. I’m thoroughly giddy af binging through this series!
Book three and the battle is escalating even more quickly now. The threat of what Quinton may unleash with his power hunger insanity is a heavy weight for everyone. It's hard to witness Amora and her shadow shifters struggle. For every pebble size piece of hope we're given, there's a boulder waiting to crush it. The fact is that they are in desperate need of a miracle. That becomes way more impossible to ignore with the battle and final moment in this book. I think it's time Amora called in some favors. She knows powerful beings, so I'm hoping she'll utilize them. Book four needs to hurry, my worried heart can't handle all these uncertainties.
So, I really wish that I hadn't read the Vampire series while waiting for this book.... It turns out that she recycled quite a few things from that series into this one. It burst my bubble, y'all. There I was, thinking that I had found a new favorite, but I can't favorite a lazy writer. While this is a story about werewolves and not vampires, there are so many similarities between series... Not to mention the nearly word for word copy and pasted smut scenes. Oi. I still really like this plot though, and those cliffhangers are killer. Excited for the next one. Four out of five stars to Cursed Mate.
Book three is sometimes the book slump, however, this is not the case. Some of what Amora is going through is a little repetitive, but who can blame her emotions with the whirl wind of Kian, Frost, and Malix? I am so happy book 3 picks up right after book 2 because that cliff hanger was epically intense. The multiple POVs still continue through this book and it is action packed in a lot of ways...fun multiple partner smexy time too! If you thought book 2 had an intense cliffhanger this one leaves you just the same way. Now to wait for book 4.
This is the third book in the rejected mates series and after the ending of the last book with Frost being attacked by his now ex alpha, Quentin, the relationship between Amora and her ex mates seems to have taken a turn. However, there are lingered effects from the attack on Frost and the only thing that seems to help is being close to Amora. With no where else to go and looking to find help for Frost, Amora and the guys go to the one person who might be able to help, Quentin’s ex mate! Can she help Frost? Will she ally with them to help bring down Quentin for good?
Title: Cursed Mate Author: Callie Rose Format: Audio Narrators: CJ Grey, Lia Holland Genre: Paranormal Romance, Fated Mates, RH, Shifter (Wolf), Suspense Standalone: No Part of a Series: Book 3 in Feral Shifters POV: Amora, Kian, Frost, Mallix Steam Level: Steamy 5/5
Cursed Mate starts right where book ends. Holy heck this book was a wild ride New allies are formed and battles are waged and enemies new and old are revealed. I was hooked from the start and cannot wait to see what happens in the series finale..
Cursed Mate was such a great read—I honestly really enjoyed it. I’ve seen a lot of other reviews saying there were too many sex scenes, but I didn’t feel that way at all. There were maybe three, and they felt well-placed and meaningful to the story and the character dynamics. For me, they added to the emotional depth rather than taking away from the plot. The world-building is still solid, the stakes are getting higher, and I’m more attached to these characters than ever. I'm off to dive into the next book!
3⭐️: Good: Enjoyable read with some flaws. 3 🌶️: Medium Heat: Several intimate scenes, moderately explicit. 1🔪: Mild: Little to no violence or disturbing content. Suitable for most readers. 2🔪: Moderate: mild violence or unsettling, but not too graphic.
YOURE LUCKY THAT FROST WAS SAVED. OK. THAT HES BACK TO HIS NORMAL. THOSE WERE FIGHTIN WORDS. I ALMOST QUIT THE SERIES BECAUSE OF THAT.
Finished this book earlier today, but had to step away before I could write my review or risk spilling spoilers! This book ended on a cliffhanger that pulled at my heart and has me wanting more. The individual and group relationships evolve and had me connecting with everyone even more so in this book. There were times that I'd try to guess what would happen next and Callie Rose would go in a completely other direction that kept me turning the pages. Definitely recommend this book and series!
This book picks up right where the last one left off, and it is a non-stop, action packed story of survival and love. They all begin to accept their feelings for each other and there is less hostility between them. They have bigger problems to worry about (Quinton) and need to band together. We get more steam in this book and it is hot!! I’m looking forward to the next book and the conclusion of Amora’s story.
This series just gets stronger and stronger. Book 3 picks up where Book 2 ended and we finally find out what happened to Frost. The relationship between Amora and her ex-mates Frost, Kian and Malix continues on its rollercoaster, along with their battle against Quinton and the shadows. Their steam filled relationship and continued fight keeps you turning pages. Now I’m counting down for Book 4! You won’t be disappointed with this rejected fated mates story.
We've been on a fantastic journey with Amora and her mates, and it's not over yet. This book picks up dealing with what Quinton did to Frost at the end of the last book and puts them on the path to try and overcome him. After 3 books, they seem to have accepted each other and settled into their own unique pack vibe, which I'm happy to see. However, the battle isn't over yet, and the next book is expertly set up!
I really enjoy these book series, I kinda have mixed feelings about this book ending, I kinda wanted Amore to be sucked in shadow real but it is what it is, can’t wait to see what next book will brings us, although I’am very Disappointed with how long we will gonna have to wait till release day, this is first book I come around that will take so long to be released, hope it will be worth waiting
