This was a first for me from this writer and I was thoroughly impressed. With only the “Love Heals” peek into this story and the writer list herself as a lesbian writer with a little erotica. This is an understatement. There was plenty of erotica but it was the story that pulls you in. Love does heal…. Lila and Tara both had issues caused by trauma in their past. Lila from the moment she saw Tara at the club she worked, she was smitten. Her smile, the way she held herself and the easy way she spoke. Tara had such low self esteem and could not believe that Lila was interested in her. As these two navigate towards a relationship which they keep from everyone, their lives start to intertwine and the love they feel for each other is tested. The story has it ups and downs as well as heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I say it’s a must read.
Everyone is Uber rich in Sarah Sanders stories. The mc’s always come from very old money and have more than anyone should in terms of wealth. It is my one biggest turn-off. The story in of itself is wonderful.
I felt like Tara’s friends would be upset since the plot turn toward the beginning of the book. Then it rears it head at the end. It was a bum place to end the story.
The mc’s stayed so isolated from everyone. I know why part of it is so, but it seems that Tara never really saw her closest friends after their relationship began.
The author never resolved the whole parent issue. I was bummed that BDSM was a part of this story and used in a way that was not like consensual BDSM that I have read about in other books or online. This horrible “thing” that happens to La-La in the name of BDSM should have given some disclaimer. Had I not known more about that lifestyle; I would have believed it was the worst thing ever according to this story and how it’s portrayed.
Still nice story as I have said. It was not the best of them. Although the characters cross over books. Reeth and Rhadika show up from “Jump Then Fall” in a minor passing. Also Olivia and Audrey from “Wildest Dreams” makes an appearance. Of course the people from those two books are insanely filthy rich.
