COSMIC SAVIOR by James Wolanyk is the third and final installment of the Interstellar Gun Runner series. The galaxy is being devoured by the eldritch abomination and Bodhi is being held prisoner by a horrific torture machine called the Contrition. Things are looking pretty bleak and they don't get much better for much of the book. I actually was mostly annoyed that Bodhi was acting so much nicer and more noble than previously--I love him when he's awful. Still, a satisfying end to the series.

A finale that delivers!
Where to start… I guess that the 5 star review is well earned. A complex story that is technically very well written, characters that have real depth, a great deal of (dry but funny) humour and some thought provoking ideas, all combine to produce this truly exceptional series.
This is the first I’ve read from JW but he’s already established himself as one of my favourites. His work reminds me a little of the early Peter F Hamilton, or perhaps Iain M Banks, that mix of science, metaphysics and the downright weird.
I look forward to reading more of his work.

Amazing
Best book I've read in a long time. Well written, the story pulls you along
even when you're not sure you should go along with him. Surprising where you end up. And yet not. Well done.

I read the first of this series, Interstellar Gunrunner in 2021 and enjoyed it. I caught up with books 2 and 3 during the 2022. Bodhi, the conman arms dealer, and his crew are thrust further and further into a race to save the cosmos -- thus the title of the third book, natch.
Wolanyk’s plot was very ambitious, but these felt a bit less funny and a bit more contrived than the original--this one more so than the first two. I think I ran into a bit of Bodhi fatigue by the end of this one, but it doesn't detract from the overall quality of the series. Still well-worth your time and dollars.

Completely satisfying ending to an enjoyable series. Bohdi's journey from insufferable smart ass to selfless (ish) good guy was quite the journey.
Lots of humor and action. Great characters with enjoyable interactions. Way more profound than I expected the book to be as well.

A great finish
Quirky and weird, a sort of what-if combination of Guardians of the Galaxy, Borderlands, Doctor Who, and some kind of magitech all its own. Mix that together and add in some remarkable depth and character growth, and you've got Cosmic Savior. A fun read.

So this trilogy really is Firefly meets Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Great fun! Wonderfully snarky narrator! Excellent reader! And a nice, tidy ending.

a funny sci fi trilogy
I have to say I laughed a lot reading each book.in this series.
The humour is my kind of humour which is to say that of sarcasm wit and black comedy with dark humour that people shouldn't laugh at but do.
Apart from that the story is great a little rushed on the ending I thought but still good.
There's potential for more books in this universe.
