Couple of good love poems

Great American poet
once said:
Don't let your poetry be worn out by egoism.

Some straightforward verses shout out from this chapbook.

The poetess is searching her purpose in life and a place in the world. Up close and personal, but the reader is looking for wonder when reading a new book of poetry.
He wants to be amazed.
The author is sharing her intimacy with the world, and many people find this relatable.
Seems like artistic qualities are of lesser value in this collection.

And yes, Bukowski is behind that quote.

I really really liked this collection. It was straight forward, relatable, and easy to get through. I just loved that in reading this, I was able to see myself and other black girls & women having the exact same experience, going through the exact same thought process, and even at almost 27, it’s still nice to see yourself represented in literature.
