*very quick review! *

Informative and easy to follow.

Lynas starts with an introduction to climate change, greenhouse gases, global warming, carbon footprints etc and then goes on to provide ways in which an individual can reduce their personal carbon footprint. He does this by breaking down where our emissions come from (household emissions, transport emissions and consumption) and then explaining how these can be reduced, offering both the pros and cons of different technologies/changes.

As the aim of the book is to inform a person of the changes they can realistically make as an individual, Lynas encourages readers to calculate their own carbon footprint for the year (providing the calculations to do so!) and then reduce it going forward! He provides a list of useful websites and companies for people wanting to make changes.

Published in 2007, it is obviously not up to date with the current policies today (e.g the Paris Agreement) and some figures are outdated but overall the message of the book remains the same: we need to reduce our carbon footprints asap!
