Harley and Ivy on the road trip of the century! Following the wedding disaster of the decade, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy end up on the run from Commissioner Gordon and the GCPD! But as fun as all that sounds, Ivy still worries over leaving Kite Man at the altar…Luckily, Harley’s got the perfect scheme to shake her out of her wedding-day blues!
I loooooved this. I recently more or less binged watched S1 & S2 of Harley Quinn and I was really excited to learn that this comic existence. It picks up right after the final episode of S2 and we have some lovely scenes focusing on Harlivy. Ivy is feeling guilty about Kite Man and questioning whether or not she made the right choice. Harley, on the other hand, is her usual chaotic self who clearly just wants to make Ivy happy.
Tee Franklin nailed the energy of the show and the art is just so soft and cute and feels-inducing. This was a short but fun romp that is a must read for fans of Harlivy.
This is great. Please stream the show so that we can get more seasons and more comics. I want more and need issue #2. I am actually going to rewatch the show now.
"So he doesn't f*** bats?" -Harley makes a discovery about Batman's sex life.
Welcome to the sweary...mostly graphic... comically violent corner of the DC Universe based around the HBO max series.
Essentially a road trip....it develops into an existential journey for Pam/Ivy as she ponders what happened with Kite Man...and her relationship with Harley.
As a huge fan of the Harley Quinn TV series, I was thrilled to dive into this continuation of Season 2—and it exceeded my expectations! The writing feels authentic and clearly benefits from having a woman at the helm. This perspective is so important in capturing the nuanced experiences of two queer women, both in their intimacy and their strength.
I absolutely loved how Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are portrayed as powerful and dynamic, both individually and together. Their cheeky banter, raw vulnerability, and electric chemistry leap off the page, staying true to the spirit of the show.
This was fun despite never having seen the show it spins out of. The bold, crisp artwork is fantastic and a perfect compliment to the tone and pace of the writing. Love this take on Commissioner Gordon.
i liked how fun and gay this was but i was a little bored with how they just copied the generic superhero plotline……..like they are villains and now they are fighting another random villain for what reason. fight a cop instead idk
I've only watched a few episodes of the Harley Quinn animated series (fine, fun, frantic), so I mostly picked up this volume based on Max Sarin being the artist. Was not disappointed in that respect! Their art is so perfectly suited to antic adventures that it should probably be repurposed for the actual animated series.
The plot, though, was lacking. Harley and Ivy are busting out of Gotham at the end of season two, trailed by a rage-monster version of Commissioner Gordon. It's all quite silly until suddenly Ivy gets the Sads, which puts the brakes on their budding relationship. There are still plenty of cute, sexy moments (very PG-13 book), but the instances that try to feel "real" never quite hit. And the back half of the book features some dumb blob monster where every joke is about how bad she smells. A real creative drought there.
Still! The art! Worth a look if you're in Giant Days withdrawal.
I stumbled upon this comic by sheer luck and I'm so glad! It starts right where the show stopped and focuses on Harley and Ivy's relationship ^^ it's really soft and fun and truly fits the vibes of the show!
I devoured this book! I havent seen the show and now I want to. It was an Adorable love story and I loved getting the depth of each character. It was so lovingly gay I just swooned for them. I cant wait to read more. I love Tee Franklin. The artists also did an Amazing job illustrating. Loved it All.
Super fun and I love it. Haven’t watched the series yet so I appreciated Harley’s cute little explanation at the beginning. Hope this continues to be a fun series.
I have all 6 comics in one and I love it!!! The humor is on point and there's just so much representation of both anything queer as well as various disabled background characters.
Stole from my sib bc I saw it was queer. It's a fun comic!! I didn't watch the show (on my list now) so I was losing some points but it's a cute lil book
