A fun and humorous if not somewhat implausible story about two best friends who go on a cruise together and the different dates they each have while on board.

I generally like S J Crabb's books, and this one was no exception to that rule. As the book opens, Florence is arriving at the church for her wedding to Oliver, who had contacted her with a very cryptic message the day before. When she enters the church, she discovers him "deeply kissing another woman", and to no one's surprise, calls the wedding off. The honeymoon, however, a two week prepaid cruise that was a gift from her parents, is definitely on, with Florence's maid of honor, Sammy Jo, as her companion. The story deals with the two women participating in a Cruising in Love program, where you are matched with several potential partners for the first week, and then narrow your scope to one person for the second week. Sammy Jo is incredibly popular, and has all the men raving, Florence on the other hand, has a string of losers as her week one dates. Into this mix, the girls meet the Hudson brothers, 4 gorgeous guys, all of whom need to secure a wife to meet the terms of their recent inheritance. Two of the brothers are seemingly enamored with Sammy, and one with Florence. Who will the women chose, and will the men reciprocate their feelings, or are they just looking for someone to get them their inheritance? I like this book, but the whole thing is a set up for Ms. Crabb's new Happy Valley series. That's OK, I knew it going in, so was not surprised to find that no decisions are made (other than that the women are going to move to Happy Valley to work for one of the brothers) and the bulk of the story was left to be told in the upcoming series. I have already pre purchased books 1 & 2, so I feel safe in saying this was a good read!
I did like this book, but at 35 I felt that Florrie and Sammy Jo were a bit young to talking about becoming spinsters at 23. In saying that it was a fun read with some funny moments. The dates were certainly entertaining. Some cringe worthy and relatable scenes right there. Overall it's an enjoyable, quick read, and I will read the other books in the series.

LOVED IT! It’s a really good thing that this isn’t a serial novel, as I couldn’t break away from reading it until the very last word. Starting with the fact that Florence’s soon-to-be husband was already married the story only gets funnier and funnier. I absolutely adored Sammy Jo and their adventures together kept me in stitches! Would love another book about their life in Dream Valley! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
So disappointing when a book starts out well but quickly turns weak and insubstantial. After sticking with it only to find the story had no ending with the author anticipating youll be so gripped you will buy the next book to continue the story. Sorry it just wasn't good enough!
This is a great start to a series and look forward to the other books when they come out. The author doesn't dissapointed with this this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. A full 5/5 stars for me. All the others books by the author are excellent and cannot recommend them enough.
This is the third book of hers I have read and the second one in the dream valley world and I absolutely love it. Her writing style is sweet but gives you all the details without rambling everything. You fall in love with each character and root for them from the start. She is one of my favorite new authors
I got so into this book that I didn't get tmuch done...including sleep! It was so much fun read! As soon as I read about the program they signed for I knew it was gonna be funny and Flo's first date proved it. Sammy Jo is a hoot and a half😂
I didn't realise at first it was part of a series. I will read the other ones to see what happens next. It was a good read but confusing in parts as hard to know who is genuine hopefully other books will help make everything clearer
I have read this after starting the sequel to this book. It is easy reading and with a good storyline. It is annoying that the grammar in these books is so wrong that it grates in me slightly and somewhat spoils the enjoyment of the book
I read this book while recovering after a major op and it was the ticket. I loved it. As I was coming to the end I was hoping there was a next book and there is! I will be buying that to read during my treatment, to keep me cheered up. S J Crabb is a brilliant author.
