DCI Judas Iscariot of Scotland Yard's occult magic division, the Black Museum, has only been back in London for five minutes when things get bloody.
Bloody quickly.
Something evil has returned from the depths of the London Necropolis Burial Grounds. There's only one thing that its black heart desires – the extermination of the Fae and the destruction of the magical underworld they inhabit.
The attacks begin, the death toll rises, and Judas quickly realises that the Fae and all the races of London's Under Folk are in danger. And with fairy pickpockets, Welsh tree spirits that love a good hustle, Dick Whittington's cat, angels and lots of friendly fire from a new threat to the Black Museum to contend with, he's far busier than he would like.
Then Lucifer the Morningstar, First of the Fallen, arrives unannounced; he knows something that Judas doesn't and wants him to change sides as payment for spilling the beans.
Surrounded by enemies, always one step behind, and running out of time as usual, it's all looking a bit bleak for Judas.

The Blind Beak of Bow Street is a really fun supernatural detective story and a great read from start to finish.
This is Book 4 in the Judas Iscariot series. It can be read on its own, but after finishing it, I honestly wanted to go back and start from Book One to get even more from the world and characters.
The author has a brilliant imagination. These books are packed with fae, witches, and other supernatural beings, and it all works really well together. The story is well written, easy to follow, and has good humour running through it, which keeps things fun even when the mystery gets darker.
At 339 pages, it never feels too long. The mystery keeps you turning the pages, and the setting is so interesting that it made me really want to visit the Black Museum.
I listened to the audiobook, and it’s definitely worth mentioning. The narration by Aubrey Parsons is fantastic and adds extra colour and personality to the story. It really brings everything to life.
Overall, The Blind Beak of Bow Street is an enjoyable, entertaining read and a great choice if you like supernatural mysteries, fantasy elements, and a bit of humour along the way. I’d happily recommend it to fans of the genre.
Judas Iscariot has been given a chance to redeem himself: he must protect the beings of the Under World and keep the peace between supernatural beings and humans. To fulfill his mission, he has become DCI Judas Iscariot, master of the Black Museum at Scotland Yard. A very novel and interesting plot in which biblical and mythological characters are interwoven and an evil entity who calls himself the Captain of the Night who has dedicated himself to murdering Faes is the new enemy that Judas must stop.
After The Children of the Lightning I made a break of reading this series, the story was not an easy one and it felt rather dark and sad. But when I once against looked for something interesting to read in the Urbanfantasygenre, I thought to give this installment a try and was positively surprised. Unlike its predecessor the book was more optimistisc and I even had to laugh a few times. DCI Judas did not have to fight alone against the captain, lukily he had help from friends and allies which was very heartwarming.
Urban fantasy series staring Judas escariot. Yes the one from the bible . God's punishment for judas is immortality and working as a inspector in the top secret black museum .forever trying to stop the most evil of creatures from killing everything in their way. Angels demons fae. Werewolves anything you can imagine. This series is brilliant .
These books just get better and better. With little need to fill in the back story and the background to this fantastic world more established it just gets right into the action. Fabulous stuff and highly recommended. I can't wait for the next one.
How many of us readers did just that? Not sure my hearing was heightened though. Great book. Lace is an amazing addition. Davey's imagination blows me away.
As always I love these books... And I've read many now and will read many more! But simple spelling and editing mistakes are consistent and pull you out of the story somewhat which is a huge shame!
