What if Cinderella never tried on the glass slipper?
Unable to prove that she's the missing princess, and unable to bear life under Lady Tremaine any longer, Cinderella starts work at the palace as a seamstress. However, when Cinderella finds herself witness to a grand conspiracy to take the king - and the prince - out of power, she is faced with questions of love and loyalty to the kingdom.
Cinderella must find a way to stop the villains of past and present... before it's too late.

Walter Elias “Walt” Disney (December 5, 1901 – December 15, 1966) was an American film producer, director, screenwriter, voice actor, animator, entrepreneur, entertainer, international icon, and philanthropist. Disney is famous for his influence in the field of entertainment during the 20th century. As the co-founder (with his brother Roy O. Disney) of Walt Disney Productions, Disney became one of the best-known motion picture producers in the world. The corporation he co-founded, now known as The Walt Disney Company, today has annual revenues of approximately U.S. $35 billion.
Disney is particularly noted for being a film producer and a popular showman, as well as an innovator in animation and theme park design. He and his staff created some of the world's most famous fictional characters including Mickey Mouse, a character for which Disney himself was the original voice. He has been awarded four honorary Academy Awards and has won twenty-two competitive Academy Awards out of fifty-nine nominations, including a record four in one year, giving him more awards and nominations than any other individual. He also won seven Emmy Awards. He is the namesake for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort theme parks in the United States, as well as the international resorts Tokyo Disney, Disneyland Paris, and Disneyland Hong Kong.
Disney died of lung cancer in Burbank, California, on December 15, 1966. The following year, construction began on Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. His brother Roy Disney inaugurated the Magic Kingdom on October 1, 1971.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) (commonly referred to as Disney) is the largest media and entertainment conglomerate in the world in terms of revenue. Founded on October 16, 1923, by brothers Walt Disney and Roy Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, the company was reincorporated as Walt Disney Productions in 1929. Walt Disney Productions established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and travel. Taking on its current name in 1986, The Walt Disney Company expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theatre, radio, publishing, and online media. In addition, it has created new divisions of the company in order to market more mature content than it typically associates with its flagship family-oriented brands.
The company is best known for the products of its film studio, the Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group, today one of the largest and best-known studios in Hollywood. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 11 theme parks around the world. On January 23, 2006, it was announced that Disney would purchase Pixar in an all-stock transaction worth $7.4 billion. The deal was finalized on May 5. On December 31, 2009, Disney Company acquired the Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for $4.24 billion. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company.
This was extremely boring it was a freaking rip off version of Cinderella I literally probably farted while reading this I don’t appreciate it thanks!❤️
Beautifully written! The way you think it's going well and then suddenly plot twists and events happen that change the story again. It's a real recommendation for anyone liking the princes tales.
i really liked this book because it went into a lot more detail than the film and it really felt as if you got to know the characters. it showed the hardship cinderella endured throughout her life whilst maintaining that disney effect. it also was more realistic and showed cinderella to think of more than just love - ie she brought magic back to the kingdom. this was my first twisted tale book and i really enjoyed reading it - it only took me a few days to finish aswell so really got me out of my reading slump! i also loved the character if Genevieve because it was nice to see a strong feminist character in the book which was lacking in the film - she was strong but caring and it was nice to see how cinderella looked up to her the only part i wasn’t a fan of was the end how she got kidnapped and then escaped because it felt like an added forced section just to add more drama. there was a chapter (not the last one) which ended in so this was love and that would have been a perfect ending (along with the return of magic). i also felt as if the dukes character was so on point i could visualise the actions and mannerisms of him

This is probably my favorite book in the Twisted Tales series so far. Compared to some of the other twists, which need more substance to justify their twists, So, This is Love is able to draw upon its already-established world and characters to further its narrative. This twist has partially been done before in the Disney film Cinderella III: A Twist in Time; however, this chapter of the Twisted Tales series is able to create a unique narrative that sets it apart. I particularly enjoyed how certain characters, such as the King and Prince Charming, were given more depth compared to the movies. Overall, this was a fantastic read and fulfilled everything I wanted from a Cinderella-themed Twisted Tales book.
I enjoyed this take on Cinderella. It was nice how much more story we got and how I felt like I got to actually know the prince and Cinderella much better than from the movie. The new characters they introduced were really interesting and felt like they added just the right amount to the story line. I’m giving it a three because some things were annoying like how many times she should have said who she was to the prince but didn’t and how many times she vanished on him. It got old quick.

Not really what I was expecting. When I heard the words twisted tales, I assumed that it would be a spin on the villain not a rewritten story. I found it a bit pointless and hard to get through. Seemed like the work of fan fiction and not a book for me unfortunately. I think my expectations were too high.
This was such a fun read, a spin on a childhood favourite book and film. In this version, Cinderella wants to make something of herself, working hard to achieve it. Her character is full of personality, and I quickly adored this version of her. It was really well written and easy to read. I will be reading another of these twisted tale books.
The main thing I did not like about this book and maybe was not prepared for was that it took until chapter 8/9 to actually get past the movie portion that I already knew. I did not need a refresher of the story.
Though I enjoyed the different perspectives that the book offered, I feel that it would have been better if the chapters were named the perspective of the next to follow along better.
I enjoyed this audiobook and re-telling of the story. Love doesn't always come in a shoe box neatly wrapped, and it may fit but takes a lot of steps to take shape.
