The Sphere: Sector One: Emerging Light is a collection of amazing stories beautifully transited into fruitful poems. The poems are so simple and raw and it’s real food for the Soul. I became a fan of poetries recently and found this book to have something for everyone irrespective of the current state of their mind and situation they are in.

The book is well structured into eight sections and ends with a Finale. Each section commences with an aim that defines the introduction and the intention of the part of the work followed by the verses that quench the reader's heart and emotion. I loved most of her poems and I loved them for different reasons. Some of them made me happy and smile while others made me pause and provoked my thought process in my mind. At the same time, there are a few which just led me to flow through the stream with no disruption.

The language is simple and lucid and Sarah has carefully thought to write it in a simpler way to make it easily understandable to everyone who reads it. I would definitely recommend this to people who are getting into the poetry genre and want to know how words can convey feelings and strength. This will never catch dust on my shelf and I would love to read more of the author's works in the future.

From this book, earth, as we know it was described as a sphere, like a ball if you like. Now, imagine the north pole at the very apex of this sphere; that's what is called the "Source" because it is explained to be the origin of light, illumination, shimmers, happiness, and laughter; whatever has a beginning, the source is its genesis.

Halfway to the equator (using the compass of a clock), in an anti-clockwise direction, around the 11 through 10 O'Clock axis back to the source, this is the section called "Sector One." This sector entails the journey towards struggles and difficulty, albeit, just before they become difficult. This sector is fresh, bright and embodies quiet before the storm.

This book is divided into eight parts based on different stories called "Aims" with their subsection poems.
Aim 1: "Pay attention" shows the express ability of the mind to fine-tune itself into over-achieving whenever it is set or focused towards the right direction with equally accurate intensity.

"Take this truth" particularly strikes me as another version of a rather radical truth which, although, could potentially anger its readers, the poet chose to share its pain anyway.
The part II of the story (Aim 2) is titled "Keep Light in Sight." Notice the "Light" is capitalized? Yes, that's because the Light here is the Source: the origin of everything. This aim generally begs for alertness and sharpness.

Have you ever been caught in a moment you never want to end? "Story" paints a relatable picture.
Aim 3 portrays the globe while the source is at the North Pole. The difference here is that you're now halfway through the equator and in a position where you "let every answer be questioned" because the light source is ever bleak.

The theme of Aim 4: "Let go of your lies" sits differently with me. The poem "Storm" perfectly buttresses the theme. In this stage of your journey, the light and shadows are a distant memory; where lightning, thunder, and rain are the order of the day.
Sector 5 revolves around recovery and healing. Embrace it.

In "Open your mind to every possibility" Sarah Jessica Curry reveals the reality of the Phoenix rising amid the ashes: a metaphor that easily explains one's journey back towards the other end of the globe halfway through the equator with the light in sight again. "Living" is quite an interesting poem because it emphasizes the everyday routine of a normal human being.

The Aim 7 theme: "Seek growth and never fear it" centers on the objective of "stretching, reaching and growing" following the harsh journey of experience.
The core of the final lap of this brilliant book reflects the huge role love plays in our today's society. "What is love, Really?" is a good read.

The Sphere: Sector One by Sarah Jessica Curry consists of 94 pages with 8 different Stories, parts, or aims.
I particularly enjoyed my journey through the work and I must add, no section of the book felt like surplus. I enjoyed the fact that the poems were introduced first by descriptions to prepare readers for the ride ahead.
On this note, I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars for its creative brilliance and poetic flair.

I strongly recommend this book to open-minded readers and people who want to find answers to love questions. Aim 8 would do the magic.
