Anyone can make predictions about the future. The real question is, “What does God have to say about it?” The end times is one of those areas of theology where people have many wild opinions. Don’t get caught up in all the internet speculations and doomsday prognostications. The real place to find out about the future is the Word of God. In What Does the Bible Say About the Future? , radio host and prophecy expert Dr. Charlie Dyer offers you an insightful look at the end times that’s grounded not in human fantasies but in the very revelation of God. The Bible actually does have a lot to say about the future. It’s an important topic for you to study. So instead of taking your cues from the self-appointed prophets of today, let Dr. Dyer take you right back to Scripture. You’ll get answers to questions God didn’t give us Bible prophecy to tickle our imagination or satisfy our intellectual curiosity. Rather, God wants us to know about the end times so we can be confident in His eternal purposes. With a biblical understanding of the future, you’ll be powerfully equipped to live with faith and hope today!
He is an Old Testament scholar as well as an authority on Middle Eastern history and geography. A licensed tour guide to Israel, he has traveled extensively throughout the Middle East over the past 25 years, leading over 70 different trips throughout the region to countries including Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Greece, and Turkey. He twice visited Iraq as an official invited guest of Saddam Hussein’s government.
When he is not working, traveling to the Middle East, or speaking, Charlie enjoys spending his time writing, reading, and golfing. He is a devoted (some would say fanatical) Macintosh computer user, and he collects antiquities—especially oil lamps from biblical times.
Charlie and his wife, Kathy, have been married for over 33 years, and they have two grown children—Ben and Becky. Becky and her husband are both graduates of Moody.
In the past few years, my family has been led to do a great deal of research, reading, and learning about Bible prophecy and the future, specifically the End Times. As to be expected, as we learn and study from various sources about this topic, many questions arise. That is why a book such as Charles H. Dyer’s new release from Moody Publishers is so helpful and relevant…
“What Does the Bible Say About the Future: 30 Questions on Bible Prophecy, Israel, and the End Times” takes some of the most prominent questions about our future and breaks them down into understandable answers that help us see the big picture more clearly. Some of the most helpful questions/answers for me were: “Will everyone in the millennium be born again and have glorified bodies? And if so, how can children be born?” “Do the Jewish festivals point to the time of Christ’s return?” “What is the prophecy of Gog and Magog in Ezekiel 38-39? Is it a Russian invasion of Israel?” And many more.
If you have questions about the End Times, or even if you don’t know much about it but would like to dip your toes in and get started with the study of Biblical prophecy, I definitely recommend “What Does the Bible Say About the Future?”. It is concise yet very helpful in clarifying some common questions, while also helping us gain a deeper reverence for God’s incredible plans for the future of His creation.
I received this book courtesy of Moody Publishers in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
When I was young, I thought the prophecy books of the Bible were creepy. I’d read or hear sermons about ‘the end times’ and not only imagine the horribleness for unbelievers and those who loved them, but I’d also become discouraged. I found myself getting wrapped up in speculation and predictions that didn’t build my faith or give me strength.
Well, I see and think of things differently now. And the questions/answers in What Does the Bible Say About the Future mirrors what I’ve learned. The answers are clear, biblically based, and confident. This book is an insightful faith-builder.

This book contains thirty questions and answers that represent the typical kinds of questions people often have when thinking about Revelation and how the Bible describes the future. Dyer answers these questions with brevity and clarity. The content is straightforward, rooted in Scripture, and avoids the kind of theological rabbit trails that can plague an “End Times” book. The book is a suitable overview of the subject or a great place for an eschatological newbie to get started. While you may not agree with Dyer’s eschatological perspective (I do), you cannot say that he failed to provide sufficient support from the Scriptures.
This is an excellent work on prophecy and the specifics of the end times. The author answers 30 questions about the future of the world and our destiny. I intend to read this again as a 30 day devotional because there’s so much information to be gleaned from this book that it takes time to meditate and absorb all of the details. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
A concise and easy to read little book about what the Bible has to say about the future and end times. Each of the 30 chapters addresses a question taken from the Land and the Book radio show. Easy to read and thoughtfully put together.
