The King of Media Corp is Dexter PrincePossessive. Dominant. Broken.A monster in an Armani suit.I worked under him and was so low on his radar I barely registered. Then it all changed with one foolish lapse of judgment. I stepped into his world with killer heels and an attitude that rubbed him up the wrong way.I angered the beast and I’m about to pay the ultimate price because this monster has claws and is about to rip me to shreds. So, bring it on because this victim holds a secret that will bring him to his knees.Dexter Prince is about to discover that monsters come in all shapes and sizes and sometimes they bite back.A deliciously dark and captivating romance with so much steam and chemistry it burns. The series is Five Kings, but each book can be read as a standalone and the only cliffhanger is your desire to read the next King's story.Books in the Catch a KingSladeSteal a KingBreak a KingDestroy a KingMarry a KingBaron
Couldn’t read this book fast enough, it was just that bad. I finished it because I have read the series and for the most part have enjoyed the other books, but this one went off the rails into absurdity.
I have enjoyed the other books in this series but Dexter's and Holly’s story was horrible. Terrible characters with a weak storyline, inadequate backstory. There is still no resolution to the series. The real crux of the story was lost in the OTT BDSM that destroyed what could have been a decent read.
Anytime an author has to go to great lengths to demoralize a MFC to nothing more than a trained seal/and sex slave/pet is no longer entertaining. Eating off the floor while Dexter f…..ked her was something out of what I would expect from a serial killer or cult genre. What was even more sick was the fact she acted like she enjoyed it. Ugh! Get some self respect girl!
This was no love story but something out of a B rated porn movie. Porn trying to come off as erotica in this instance was a "hit and a miss". Any woman that is attracted to a man like Dexter is seriously a victim of Stockholm syndrome and needs help to become deprogramed. Run as fast as you can. The final chapters were hilarious whereas the author tried to normalize this couple which would have been quite the feat if they weren't so screwed up. Holly's character was such a disappointment even when she felt "so bad" by books' end that she had gotten pregnant...seriously stop playing the victim card because you are terrible at it Another strong FMC that has been dismantled by yet another author who needs to make her MMC seem like a hero, which he is not.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we get Holly Bryant and Dexter Prince's story. When this book opens we find that Holly is a woman who is determined to make it in the journalism world. The thing is though right now she is only working in a rag publication but she has big dreams. What she doesn't' realize is the big dreams she has just might lead to her ultimate downfall. Dexter has never been the same since the death of his sister. He blames himself for what happened and shut himself off from the rest of the world. So when one of the kings comes to him and asks him about a plication that he knows nothing about, he wonders where he missed something in his structured world. Can these two find a way to a HEA or will the dark world of the kings and what they need be the thing that breaks them for good.
Another amazing story in this series. These characters will really suck you in and not let go even at the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
The Five Kings is a series which once started you know you just have to finish and this book is no exception I didn't want to put it down. It's dark but Oh so very good.
Dexter Prince, may be a King when it comes to the world of media but has he met his match in Holly? She's strong, sassy and very sexy. When he first notices her he wants her, she has a body that mesmerizes him and leads him into a submission of his own.
Dexter doesn't do feelings or commitment and showing any emotion is very difficult for him, because of this Dexter ends up hurting Holly more than he intended, but fortunately, Holly's strong and proved him wrong.
This is a somewhat emotional rollercoaster ride, which had my feelings going all over the place I went from hating him to loving him. As for Holly at times I wanted to shake her, cheer her on but then sympathize with her. Read it yourself and you'll see what I mean.
Writing shitty smut that reads like the most pathetic journal is existence.
"He abuses but Picks me"
What an absolute coward of a man.
What an absolute toxic toddler.
Imagine loving a rapist.
The way the author forces, and FORCES THE AUTHOR DOES, her to internalise the trauma he is doing to her.
What a pathetic pick me.
But she's not real.
Real women have neuroplastic tissue that would react to this behaviour.
No, this FMC exists for the Unseen, Unloved and utterly Unfucked to browbeat Rape Victims with because they are so lonely, they are jealous of rape victims.
Can't relate to having such a life free of conflict that you need to let a man create them for you like the shell of tissue you are.
Green Pilled Patriarchial Parable of Toxicity.
Maybe one day soon, a real man will want your sexually inebriated pussy.
Oh this KING is definitely worth remembering! Dexter Prince KING of the media world and everyone surrounding it but he’s no KING when it comes to Holly. This very sexy and sassy woman has a mouth you want to devour, a body that mesmerizes him into a submission of his own…in the emotion department…something he swares he doesn’t feel..WRONG, so very wrong! Very unstable in expressing his emotions, Dexter ends up hurting her more than he intends. But Holly is no push over and she prouves him wrong. Very captivating read, loved this series and can’t wait to read the final book! Once again Stella you’re AWESOME!!!

I received my copy of this book early, via booksprouts. I’ve not been able to post my review.
This is about the 4th King, if you have read the previous books you will know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, why not and what are you waiting for.
This is about Dexter, who is massive in business world, has the news in his hands and Holly who is a want to be journalist. She tries to publish a story that could damage lots of people, but gets caught out and then has to face the consequences of her actions.
It’s full of surprises, don’t want to give anything away, except it is definitely a must read if you enjoy a strong dominant man and a feisty woman.
Can’t wait for the last in the run, the little teaser was fabulous!!!
Holly just wants to succeed, and she thinks she’s finally going to make it, until one wrong article has her fired and under Dexter King’s control. Dexter needs to find out where Holly got the information from and being nice didn’t work, being angry didn’t work, so he’s going to make her an offer that he knows she wants. Holly won’t give up her source but then Dexter makes her an offer a dream offer that she can’t resist that will further her career. Although he gives her another offer and Holly can’t deny the pull towards him and decides she’s got nothing to lose. Dexter starts to realise that he wants more with Holly than he has before, he knows he can’t love because of his past, but he wonders if he can give her something close, knowing if he doesn’t, he’ll lose her.
Well, Stella has done it again. Another dive into the world of the Five Kings and I hardly put it down. I wasn't aware that I needed the darkness that this book opened inside of me but here I am with a smile on my face. I have been waiting for Dexter's story for a while and that man has demons! The back and forth between Holly and Dexter was very interesting and I, personally loved it. I'd hate him then love him, shake my head at her, cheer her on and sympathize with her with every turn of the page. With the surprise revelation at the end, I really cannot wait for the next one!

This is Dexter and Holly’s story. Dexter is broken, possessive, dominant, and gruff, while Holly is sassy, feisty, and determined, and she is determined to make it as a journalist. Dexter has certainly met his match with Holly, as she challenges him at every turn, and is determined that he will not always get his own way. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, and is dark, raw, gritty, and with secrets, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This series supposed to be about five kings and who is trying to bring them down. However, this book was about abuse and degrading a woman. I was extremely disgusted with the scene of him making her eat off the floor. It’s sad that a woman author would write such a book and feel its good for women. The worst book I’ve read and should be removed from people reading it. It sets a poor example for women fighting for freedom from abuse and dominate men. I’ve read books with dominance before and this is, by far, the worst. There are no words to express how terrible this book reflects on the author.
If you expect a dark Mafia type romance then this book is not it, I didn't find it particularly dark at all. Yes Dexter Prince likes to be dominant in the bedroom and totally control his woman but that doesn't quite work with Holly Bryant. She is a strong woman who does like to submit to a certain degree but still keep her dignaty. Holly pops up on the radar of the Kings by submitting an unsanctioned story that means her kidnapping and subsequent destiny at the hands of Dexter Prince and to his surprise things don't all go his way. Its an okay read but could have been a bit more beefy.
Dexter needs to get information on who's after the Kings and stop them. Holly has caused a massive problem and to get the information he has to break her.... If only it were that simple, he's intrigued by her at 1st sight. After publicly humiliating, firing and kidnapping her he manipulates her into selling out her step brother. Contracts and agreements are made but can each trust the other enough to make it work. Everything goes South when Dexter has to leave her behind to deal with the mess he's created for her. Can he make things right ?? Or has he just thrown it all away??? I just loved this story!!!! ❤️
My least favorite of the Five Kings series so far … struggled with liking the MMC - quite a frustrating character, and even the FMC to begin with but continued reading though as was invested in the storyline that continues throughout the series. If this hadn’t been the case could have easily put this book down solely based on the incorrect use of question marks throughout the whole book… so annoying. Felt this book could have had a lot more thought put into it - felt a bit rushed in places and could have been so much more , which is a shame.
Holly, a junior reporter in Dexter's media empire oversteps the mark by writing a story that could bring down the Five Kings. Dexter, fires her and kidnaps her to get her to reveal her source for the story. To get his information he offers Holly an apprenticeship but he also need her to be his submissive. Holly reluctantly agrees as she finds him irresistible even though it makes her feel cheap and worthless. What she really wants is to get through to Dexter's softer side which she only sees very brief glimpses off. Dark and extremely steamy tale. Read an ARC for an honest review.
Destroy a King by Stella Andrews is book 4 in the Five Kings series. This is the story of Holly Bryant and Dexter Prince. I haven't yet read the previous books so for me this was a standalone book. Dexter is one of the Five Kings and a medial mogul. Holly is a junior report at one of his media company who is wanting to get ahead with serious news instead of the stuff she is working on. When she goes to write something that could harm the 5 Kings this puts Holly on Dexter's radar. Enjoyed this book and I will be looking for more from this author.
Are the King's going down? One after another? Not if Ryder has his way. Dexter isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, and playing fair isn't his way. Holly literally doesn't know what is in store for her, and even when she reads the fine print cannot begin to understand where her life is going. I couldn't put the book down and devoured it in one sitting.
Fire and ice, you love the hero -you hate the hero
This is a new author for me, and I can’t wait to read more of her books. He’s a good guy, he is the worst. Their relationship starts with the humiliation of our heroine followed by devastation. I don’t know why when free to choose, she chose to stay. Somehow they find their HEA.
Least favorite of this series. Dex was an asshole and Holly was weak. He only took and she only gave. It was hard to get through. She'd get strong and stand up to him, then he would tear her down, and she allowed it. Rinse and repeat. Their HEA didn't happen until the epilogue. I've read stories where it took the MC's awhile to get together and have their HEA, but never until the epilogue.
Dexter, King of media and Holly, lowest rung employee make an unusual pairing. Their story is equal parts control, trust issues, anger, humiliation, desire and pain with demons of the past and an unknown enemy circling. Most of this book is about Holly and Dexter's evolving relationship.
Love this series and this book is no exception. Well written and one of my favourite authors highly recommend reading them in order but can be read as a stand-alone
Oh my goodness I so loved this book, can't believe there's only one more book about the five kings. Don't know how Stella kid going to improve in this book, but I know she always keeps the best till last, hope that is so for this series too.
Five Kings book 4. Fabulously written. Dexter and Holly are entwined in a crazy situation. As they come together, they must battled themselves and their own personal past issues. It wasn't my favorite book(and I've read them all) but it was still a good read.
Although I enjoyed the storyline, there were parts of the book I didn’t care much for. This was a fairly intense story, but the ending seemed to lack some of the grit that the rest of it had.
Wow what a read. Dexter is the media mogul and the fourth king and he needs to weed out a bad person , holly works for a rag newspaper but finds herself in trouble with dexter. What lengths will dexter go to to get the information he needs? Will holly find happiness in the end?
Good story but it is missing the suspense and intrigue the othe books in the series have. Also it leads into next book but gives some things away. It you want straight romance and sex this story is for you.
Absolutely loved the newest book in the Five King series. The newest king is the king of the media and Dexter is completely in awe of Holly even when she is the one who tried to publish a story that would hurt the kings. Love every book in this series by the amazing Stella Andrews.
Loved this book, their chemistry is off the charts, their relationship is a war all the way through the book until the very end. Dom Dexter wants the best of both worlds , but will he get it all??? Good read.
I have e noted "The King series" so far, can't wait to see what happens next! The cliffhanger is annoying though. I mean the story of each book ends BUT the reasoning for the big picture .......
