Being the mafia boss’s son isn’t a life of luxury.
Porter has spent every waking moment trying to stay under the radar. To mold himself to his father’s wishes. Even if it meant burying a part of himself six feet deep.
When it all becomes too much, Porter takes the first chance he can to escape. But what’s a tortured and pampered mafia prince really know about the outside world when he’s spent so long trapped in his own home?
Lost and afraid in the supernatural part of the city, Porter is in way over his head. There are creatures here that could kill him with a single glance. But anything is better than running back home to dear old sadistic dad.
Broke and out of options, he turns to a caring dragon and lands face first into the job of a host. Seduction, fantasy, safety. It all awaits him at Paranormal Delights and four men who might or might not be exactly what he needs.
Brea Alepoú realized her dream was to write and tell stories after spending five years in college getting a degree. She has since been writing and letting her imagination free. She thought she would only write contemporary at first but soon found her love for making worlds. So now she writes it all. With her wild imagination, expect lots of different stories, from fairies ruling to vampires killing everyone, to the sweet loving between two men, passion between two fierce women, or the love of multiple partners. She believes that everyone deserves love even if not all of her characters get it right away. Love is passionate, hot, needy, confusing, painful, fulfilling, and all-consuming. (pnr, contemporary, fantasy, erotica, romance, shifter mpreg, & rh) There will be a book for everyone. Insanity is Contagious. Brea Alepoú
Despite me generally having enjoyed reading this book it is quite long and now that I’ve put it down for a few days already I don’t think I’m picking it back up anytime soon. So, while I'm tidying up my shelves rn, I’m letting it go for now.
⇢ Porter: human, runaway mafia prince, feisty but sweet femme boy
⇢ Jaygen: powerful tiger shifter, in charge ⇢ Foi: playful but big and strong werewolf shifter ⇢ Cyrus: incubus, feeds on sexual desire, submissive femme boy ⇢ Ozni: sweet but dangerous vampire and daywalker with insatiable hunger
And while this is an MM+ romance and everyone is with everyone at some point it does have strong harem vibes as well with Porter being the reason for them to find each other, although the four other men have been living and working together as hosts at the PGD for years. But there was never more than flirting between them until Porter showed up.
"It's okay, Pretty," Jaygen whispered. "Give all of your pain to me. I'll hold onto it for you."
Porter was made for all of them.

i didn’t feel chemistry and love at all. i get that writing a poly relationship between 5 characters is hard, but it’s not an excuse. i didn’t feel like all five of them loved each other, more like they were divided in couples that sometimes had sex together. porter’s character was a literal mess. he switched personality so fast and so randomly that i just couldn’t keep up. the resolution of the conflict was literally 20% and i couldn’t care less, just blow up the damn building and be done with it. so many pages wasted on a sort of ridiculous battle that didn’t have any sense. this book is very long and the most ridiculous thing is that at the end i didn’t know three of the MCs at all. the idea is good, but this needed a lot more work.
i will read the second book in the future (only for spooky), but it’s MMMMMM and i just know that it will be worse but apparently i hate myself so what can i say.
Entertaining at times, but tended to drag. I wouldn't think that could happen with a supernatural polycule romance, but it did. I liked that the sexy times are not the focus, but rather each of the men and their relationships with each other. But in the end I found myself thinking 25-35% of this could have been cut easily.
37% and nothing of importance or “fun” has happened. The plot has moved absolutely nowhere except give us random ass sex scenes to justify the MMMM tag. The little action we had was basic (it ended as fast and sudden as it came), all the characters are basic (they are sweet so nobody annoyed me except the MC but still… basic), speaking of annoying MC… the MC was annoying. He was a rude rich kid who, after just mere months of living in the house with the other MCs, he was already being rude with the other guys, not cleaning after himself, ever, which pissed me off like you would not believe. The very first mess he made, I sort of forgave because he thought they had a maid, but the messes after that??? You would have known they had no maid. Clean after yourself, you little arrogant pig. Even if they had a maid!. He would get mad when one of the other MCs ordered him to clean after himself as well lmao.
You can tell how basic this was by the fact that I don’t remember ANY of the MCs character’s names. Iconic.
Apart from the MCs being boring as hell, the plot was just stagnant 37% in. It could have been a book full of suspense instead, 37% in we’ve only had sex.
BUT almost everybody has given this book 5 stars so, take this little venting with a grain of salt, I guess. It’s not you; it’s me. That sort of thing.
I love both authors books separately however I originally wasn’t sure about reading a collaboration however this blew me away. I adored how Porter was so sweet but had this core of steel when he needed and the dynamic with the different men was just amazing. I loved how each man brought a different element to the group however they found they worked together as a whole. This was so well written and some parts had me desperately wanting to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read the second book in the series which focuses on other characters mentioned in this book. Absolutely loved this book!
The abuses Porter suffered under his father and at his direction made my heart sob. What a vicious broken empty vessel his dad was!! I loved how the group of men felt a bond with Porter and wanted to protect and care for him in all ways. I enjoyed seeing the dynamics of the group of men grow, and how they all needed each other to be happy and whole with Porter as the integral catalyst. I can't wait for daddy Arden's story!!!
Omg! I didn’t want it to end! The characters were so diverse, but their chemistry meshed so well. It was a thrilling story of acceptance, revenge, love and found family. I was biting my fingernails the entire book. Great job guys!
Brea does poly like no one. There's always a balance between individuals and their personalities and particular relationships that adds a special flavor. I've never read from Wren before, but whatever they contributed to this book helped make it the awesome book it is, so I'd consider them worth trying.
"We cannot change what has been done but our actions going forward will create a new future."
For anyone keeping track we have:
Porter-our delightfully wayward human
Jaygen-our delicious and tightly controlled tiger shifter
Foi-our bratty and protective werewolf
Ozni-our skittish but adorable daywalker and
Cyrus-our ever sensual incubus
Porter is on the run from a family he never wanted to be a part of. He ends up at the PGD, The Paranormal Guilty Delights bar, a place where people, supes or not, can come and hang out with supernatural hosts of all kinds. There, he meets our above merry band of misfits. Arden, a dragon shifter, is the owner of the PGD and if he doesn’t get his own story at some point, I will be VERY disappointed. (Spoiler alert: Arden’s book is next and there are so many possibilities.)
This story was so all encompassing of each character. We got to meet them all individually and learn their personalities. I absolutely loved how Alepoú and Snow created each character with a unique flavor. No two were alike and they were each lovable in their own way. I especially loved the versatility of Porter, how he filled in the gaps for Jaygen, Foi, Ozni and Cyrus. Porter was the glue that brought them all together, but he was also the flashlight that showed the others that they had a connection already. In addition to being hot AF together, Porter brought out sides of the other characters that they had been hiding from one another. It was an absolute delight to see them all grow and evolve as a polycule. Frankly, I thought it was going to be difficult to keep track of all these guys, but they were so different that it really wasn’t.
Our conflict comes by the way of some of these guys being slightly resistant to letting themselves explore their true feelings and true natures. (I’m looking at you, Ozni.) There is also the big bad of Porter’s father to contend with. Jaygen, the true alpha here, takes charge and decides to come up with a plan to protect his human. There was a very satisfying conclusion to that storyline. This also strengthens Porter’s resolve to help supes going forward.
The chemistry. My lord, the chemistry between all five of these guys was out of the stratosphere. It’s amazing that with 5 characters each scene would be different enough not to be redundant, but Alepoú and Snow pull it off magnificently. Alepoú and Snow made each characters preferences and kinks nuanced and delectable and left you gagging for more.
This book was a homerun for me. There wasn’t a part of it I didn’t enjoy. I cannot wait for the next one.

Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Dang this was one hot read, let's just say that with Brea and Wren bring the darker side of the imagination alive with this. the attraction between them all is about to explode with all the pint up tension, that is if they each could take the time to look deeper at the other because there so much more then the illusion. Welcom to PGD Host Bar! When Arden brings in another stray. A little thing that is hilarious in his courageous attitude. What would a daywalker, a tiger, a wolf and a incubus have in common? A home..a world among their own, bring in a human with an adopted spooky that is just as much in need of that also.
Porter dreaded the times his father came home, expeditions was demanded without excuses. One more day had become his motto, his father was a nightmare in flesh but the outside was the unknown. Silvercross city was the paranormal hotspot, dangerous and deadly. Unnerved by the abilities was going to take some time to get used to. Disguise was key to keep Porter safe from Manetti and his spies. Man for someone out of his element, a little lost lamb in a tidal wave of monsters, Porter is a feisty little thing, but he still had a ways to go with learning his new world, Because Cy, Jaygen, Foi, and Ozni was about to teach him one lesson that he want forget.
Overall I enjoyed this romance. All the individual characters in the harem were well realized with distinct backstories and strengths/motivations. Every interaction they had together (as pairs, or as a whole) were lovely to watch.
My only complaints are with the jumbled plot. It felt a little incoherent at times or simply out of place, as if things should have happened in a different order. There was a lot of world building to tackle in this first book of a new series, so that might have been part of the problem, but I much preferred the character interactions to any story building elements, as the plot development didn’t seem to fit where it was, especially related to Porter’s past coming back to haunt him.
I am very interested in learning more about the hands off dragon shifter that offered all these supernaturals and one human sanctuary in his host bar, and from what I can tell his book will be tackled next. I’m curious to learn more about him and definitely plan to read the sequel.

WOW! I will admit.. I was drawn in by the cover of this book.. and story itself blew the cover away! The characters are so richly developed I could picture each one of them and understand and connect with all of their feelings, desires, strengths and insecurities! Porter is a human who escapes his evil father and ends up in Paranormal Delights! This is where he begins working as a host with Ozni a sweet and mysterious and deadly vampire, Cyrus a very misunderstood incubus, Jaygen a big possessive and bossy cat , and Foi a teasing wolf shifters! All of these paranormal guys brings something special to the romance! They have all been pretty much resisting any feelings for one another until this sassy little human Porter arrives! Their is a constant sensual feel in this book. The underlying chemistry that becomes so much more as they all dance around each other but start to open up! I received an ARC of this book and I recommend you read the rest for yourself! Take this dark, sensual and sometimes humorous journey of discovery with these guys!
Mafia Prince is a dark poly paranormal romance and I just loved the book. There are four paranormal characters that all fall in love together with a human and it just works. The characters are all diverse in personalities and species and the overall story is great. The book was really well written and the world created for the book is diverse and really mind-blowing. Overall an excellent read and looking forward to the next in the series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Holy wow!! I thought that this was a raw, intense, dark, awesome, gripping, steamy, heartwarming, heart wrenching, phenomenal, PNR(?), funny and the ending is really sweet. I can't wait for the next book. These two authors did a fantastic job with this book and it was really hard to put down. I would HIGHLY recommend this book and these two awesome authors.

Wow I was blown away by this book. It sucked me in from the first page and I didn’t want it to end! Brea and Wren wrote characters who were strong, compassionate and understanding. The supernatural characters and their traits were vividly described. I loved the way they all come together to get their happy ever after!
I liked this more than I thought I would - dark romances are hit and miss with me. This quint we’re all very different and fit together so well. The sex was hot if tipping towards pain more than I liked.
Laughed, cried , panted, and enjoyed every moment, well about 95%, there was that 5% of uncontrollable rage against certain characters. The main characters were great and the storyline was engaging, the sexy times were hot, if a little bloody sometimes.I
Couldn't finish, I put it away at 70 %. It just didn't grip me, I felt like nothing was really happening. Given the length of the book I would expect a more developed plot, world building, background for the characters. You get hints here and there, but not enough for me. Sometimes a bit repetitive, almost feels like each of the authors was writing for themselves according to some script, then just put it all together without checking what the other wrote. This was my second try of Brea Alepoú's books and my last. I had similar problems with "nothing is really happening" with the first book, too. It is a shame, really, because there are just not enough good poly/harem books.
*** Spoiler ahead ***
What finally made me put the book away was when the gang decided to storm Porter's father's home. On several pages, they repeat over and over that they can't kill the humans, just the father and his right hand man, and if absolutely necessary, they will kill those who attack them and are a direct threat. But other than that they can't kill anyone because it would look bad for the supernaturals (hint, it would look bad for humans, too). And then they leap over the wall and immediately start killing the first unsuspecting guards. It turns into a bloodbath right away, they don't even try to leave anyone alive (sorry, one guard supposedly survived the launch attack). I don't know how many they spared in the end, I didn't care enough to continue reading after just a few pages into this action packed sequence which tells you something about how gripping the storytelling is...
I just finished this book and it took me almost a week to do so. I usually have no problem devouring Brea Alepoú books but for some reason this book just did not captivate me and pull me in. I think this can be blamed on a few things.
The pacing is slightly off in the story. There is a lack of balance between Porter/mafia family drama and Porter's new budding romances. Even when the romances are at the forefront, the transition to turn things back towards Porter's awful father and henchmen is not fluid and took me out of the story every single time. I am pretty sure I would put the book down and then pick it up the next day when this happened, mostly because the family drama didn't really drive the plot and it took too long to resolve. AKA I was getting bored with it.
Secondly, the romances felt imbalanced in the story. It felt like 2 separate relationships with Porter begin shared between two couples. And I say this as someone who has read Brea Alepoú other poly-books and adored them. This coupling didn't work here. Oz, Cyrus, Jaygen, and Foi have been working together for years but they don't seem to have any deep relationship or friendship. It's only after Porter arrives that poof they are all suddenly attracted to each other. Even at the end of the story when Oz and Jaygen kissed, I literally said WTF because they just don't work, it's weird but the chemistry was just not there for five men.
So that leaves the question, will I read the sequel? Probably, but maybe not immediately. I like the world and the sequel seems to be centered around Arden whose relationships might work better but I think I need a little break for now.
DNF 18%. I hate to give up on such a highly anticipated read 89 pages in, but I just couldn’t keep going because it didn’t seem like it was going to get better and I had over 400 pages to go... I don’t know if the two authors rushed to publication too soon or what, but the writing was not polished. I’m especially shocked that not one but TWO experienced authors collaborated here and managed to produce something that made me wince so often (be it the characterization, the plot, common idioms used incorrectly, or the dialogue). Too bad. Also when the description says it’ll be a “dark” romance, I expected something much darker than I got so far. There’s a lot of potential here, and I love these authors, so I’m not surprised there are so many glowing reviews. I just personally could not get on board with this one. Disappointing.
DNF @ 47% I'm just not enjoying the relationships, or how the kink is done. It feels inconsistent, underdeveloped, and lacking the necessary communication for me to understand the different power dynamics and how Porter progressed from being in an abusive household to in a bdsm relationship without any discussions about wants, needs, limits or triggers. It gave me bad "Dom knows best" vibes. I also found the plot uninteresting and unfocused, and together with all the other minor gripes I'm having with this book I just don't see a point in pushing myself to finish it.
I was really looking forward to this book. However from the first chapter I have struggled with it. Porter comes across as whinney, then morphs to badass, then whinney. Despite this, all the characters who have been together for years, all want eachother, but dont want eachother, they all change and all want this little human. Who seems to have them all under a spell.
Not the dynamic I wanted, the writing was fine for this subgenre but subpar compared to what I’ve been reading lately. I don’t really sympathise with Porter and I don’t understand why the others liked him so much. DNF 34%.
