'Breathe' by Rebecca Dennis looks at the links between our body and mind. Dennis has been involved in breath work and holistic therapy for over two years. I listened to the audio, which acts as a retreat programme and is designed to fit into your everyday life. There are specific exercises at the end, e.g. to enhance sleep, focus and calm. Dennis breaks down breathing exercises and tells us how to achieve optimum breathing for the promotion of better physical and mental health. I found it an extremely worthwhile listening experience and one I will revisit regularly.

From a practical point of view, I lost interaction with this audiobook as it progressed. Too many things were instructed at once during activities - relax, feel the breath, feel where you are tense, you are enough just as you are, what negative thoughts will you try to rid yourself of today? Too much at once!
I'll take the bits that worked with me, and forget the rest.
Others have loved this book - don't let me put you off. This was just my experience.

Not my thing @ all!

Breathing meditation. Bells, birdsong and forest noises.

Can't stand being told the obvious. Fight or fright... several times over.

Even though it's a short book, could barely get halfway through.

This is an amazing audiobook, which is a guidebook that shows us how to properly use the breath in our everyday lives, to heal and calm us and help us to be more healthy. This little treasure chest is full of meditations and information which will guide you to be the best you can be. The narrator of the book is superb and she has a very calming voice, which helped me to relax while I was listening to her. I really enjoyed learning all about the breath and how we can use it to calm anxiety, relieve stress, release anger, express our emotions, relieve pain, uplift our mood and be more mindful and present in our daily lives. I just loved this book so much. It contains lots of useful and interesting information and it helped me a lot. I have asthma and the meditations helped me with this. They also helped me to relieve some stress and grief that I was feeling. I highly recommend this book!
