Triggered: A Paranormal Romance: The Azizan Kingdom Book 1

Rate this book
With her mother’s dying breath, Aziza made an unbreakable promise to usher in the next generation of unoppressed fairies. She would be their queen and lead them into the light. The promise seemed easy enough for her to keep— until she had a child of her own with her soulmate, King Samba. If being a queen isn’t hard enough, adding a royal baby to the mix won’t make it any easier, especially with a ruthless foe constantly at their necks. Aziza’s first priority is her child, so running away to another dimension at the time seemed like a great idea. The plan was to start a brand-new life and leave behind the Azizan people, and for twenty-six years, it worked. However, Aziza didn’t account for the fact that Laila had her own soulmate who would ascend to the throne and need his mate to rule.Malick will travel through time and space to find her, and when he does, all hell will break loose. A confrontation with her mother and the man who raised her turns her world upside down and opens the doorway for not just Malick, but an old adversay that won’t so easily be defeated.Laila’s life is now in the hands of her mother and Malick, and the only choice they have is to return to the Azizan land for revenge against all those who caused her daughter harm and were against her.

ok read

This started out really good, but somewhere along the way, I don’t know it just wasn’t doing it for me. How did Laila go from not being confrontational to “it’s gone get ghetto in the castle”? It’s like her personality changed and this was after everything happened to her. Not only that if everybody knows there is an enemy amongst them and don’t know who all they are, why isn’t there someone with Laila at ALL TIMES. It was too easy for the grandmother to get to her. It makes no sense, she doesn’t know anything about her powers, but yet y’all don’t make sure the girl is safe while being in the castle? I’m gone read part 2 but I hope it gets better. I wanna see powers being used and more magic.

Though not my usual genre great read!

This was actually a great read! I stumbled upon this author and the Synopsis was interesting so I gave it a try and was not disappointed at all! Aziza is the queen of the Azizan people! She actually fled to another dimension to protect Laila, her daughter from death but left her king Samba as well which caused much grief! Laila's soulmate Malick found her and now her crazy paternal grandmother who's locked up wants to regain control! Some parts are a little far fetched up until Evil Granny sets her plan in motion as Laila should not be this accessible but this is where we are left and I can't wait to see what Author Pamesh comes up with next! Excellent series so far just want to see the Fairy magic revealed and Granny Azaese destroyed! This 1st book was released 2 years ago, where is the second book!

Really good

Always something going on with the Seelie and Unseelie. A woman living a double life whose secrets have left her daughter in the dark until the dark comes to collect its prize. A soulmate who can no longer wait for his mate does all that he can to be with her. A love that spans lifetimes was once forgotten and now reunited. A thirst for power at all costs is still operating and thriving in the dark. Great revelations of past, present and future come to light. Sometimes it’s best to cut off the diseased limb before the disease spreads. Now the inaction to address the disease has enabled its come back!

I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to book 2 the finale.

I enjoyed this, it started off a little slow for me despite the faster pace of the book I just found it took a minute to get into it but once things started it took off very quickly.

There is a second book and in the first half I was so-so about finishing the rest of the books but by the end I needed to know what happened!

This is a romantasy on the slightly darker side with deep family ties in secrets and betrayal. There’s an amnesia aspect of a main character which I love in a story and some tense/suspenseful moments.

I knew that maid was no good and now I really need to know what exactly she did and who she is!

It does end on a cliff hanger and I’ll definitely pick up the second book to see what happens.

Oh wowwww! This is my very first experience reading about a mythical world featuring BLACK fae and I must say I’m in love with how the story is unfolding. I’m so intrigued by the lore behind Aziza’s ancestors creating the lineage of their entire kingdom, the intricate descriptions of what different fae look like, and how their powers manifest. Malick seems like a decadently fine a*s man who is the perfect partner for Laila. I’m looking forward to reading the next book!

Trigger Warning that there is a violent scene of r*pe in this book. So be prepared for that.

Triggered!!

It was a first time read from this author and I must say I enjoyed this. Laila was regular and had a normal life until on day a fairy named Malick comes and every thing she knows is changed . With a secret her mother thought was protecting her she is taken to her ture home. Things unfold as she learns more about herself but not without a threat of her grandmother Adaeze. I can't wait for part 2.
