Amara loves her job as an enforcer. Having been chosen to represent her pack as one of three searching for the witches is an honor. Jenkins is rude and annoying, but River, from the Moon Valley Pack, quickly becomes the best friend she has ever had. River would make a great mate one day, just not her mate.
Amara had originally seen this trip as a way to meet people and have some ‘fun’. The biggest obstacle to that ‘fun’ is she’s afraid to touch anyone, for fear it might tell her that she is their mate. Settling for the adventure of the trip northward, she just avoids all males. This mating thing has some serious drawbacks. It’s not like she doesn’t want a mate eventually. It’s the fear that he won’t want her. Even worse, she won’t want him. Concentrating on the mission is best. That is until the one man she actually wants to risk touching shows up in the middle of nowhere.
Lynn Leite is an author, artist, teacher and mother of three. Her wild imagination, and gift for gab blended perfectly in 2009, when she decided to write it all down. In addition to writing, she designs and illustrates her own covers.
Another one bites the dust. Axel and Smart after a lot of indecision take the leap and are mated after going on a pack mission and spending time together. The witches responsible for the drug have had their powers taken away and Fiona, the trouble maker from the Shadow pack has been stripped of her pack and will have to look for another. They are still looking for Alpha, Black and Blue. The three packs unite with treaties.
The search continues for the Alfa and two demons who contracted two witches to make a formula for them. A formula that they believed would make them rich beyond all avarice. The plan was to have a way to temporarily give humans some of the strength of shifters; extra speed, strength, healing, etc. Like any drug, humans would become addicted to the effects, and keep coming back for more. Cha ching! Someone either adjusted the formula, or used too much, and the results were permanent for at least seven women, maybe more. The challenge the shifter packs, and witches of the coven, (who were not involved), is to find the people responsible for the serum and stop them before they do any more testing on anyone else. People are dying from being injected; at least five they know of so far. The biggest threat is the paranormal being outed to the human world. How much would militaries give to have this formula? Anything! Do yourself a favor and read this series from the beginning. You'll be glad you did!
