Unsolved Serial Killers, Vol. 1 is a chilling, fascinating collection of cases that dives into some of the most haunting mysteries in true crime. What I enjoyed most was how each chapter felt like stepping into a different investigation—filled with unsettling details, lingering questions, and the eerie realization that these killers were never caught. It’s the kind of book that keeps you flipping pages because you need to know more… even though the answers don’t exist.
The writing is straightforward and easy to follow, making it perfect for readers who love true crime without the overly technical jargon. Each case is laid out clearly, giving just enough background to understand the victims, the timelines, and the theories. I especially appreciated that the author didn’t sensationalize the tragedies; the tone stays respectful, while still capturing the tension and mystery.
My only wish? A bit more depth at times. There were moments where I wanted additional context—more about the investigations, the suspects, or the cultural atmosphere surrounding the crimes. Still, the brevity makes it an engaging, quick read that’s hard to put down.
If you enjoy true crime, unsolved mysteries, or anything that makes you double-check your locks at night, this is a solid and intriguing pick. A great start to a series that I’m excited to continue.
