Jetta hates donuts. Can three donut shifters change her mind?
When a donut shop opens down the street from my house, I want it gone. Then I meet the three delicious owners and fall in love at first sight. There’s just one problem—they shift into the one thing I hate most: donuts.
Can my three fated mates, a few dozen sugary treats, and a little bit of magic help us set aside our differences and find our happily ever after?

Mia Harlan lives in Canada with her husband (who’s definitely Not a Vampire) and their adorably fluffy cat. They recently welcomed a Mini Mortal (a baby girl) and are happy to report she doesn't have fangs.
Mia is a librarian by day and an author by night. She's been reading romance since she turned 13 and published her first novel in mid-2019. She writes humorous, quirky (and mostly paranormal) reverse harem romance as Mia Harlan. She also plans to start publishing teen paranormal romance as Mia Meade once her Mini Mortal is a tad older and she can get back to her writing routine.
FAQ: Why the hell did you read this? I blame Stef for posting the cover in our Weird Romance group chat and my channel members for supporting my idea to read this together. (Literally, together. A bunch of us were reading it at the exact same time and giving updates as we read)
Did the heroes really shapeshift into donuts? Yes. Yes, they did. There were other shapeshifters as well in this world. (Donkeys, coffee cups, you know, the usual.) When donkey shapeshifters are LEAST odd thing to shapeshift in this world… Honestly, all three of these stars are dedicated to the friends I read this with and those who read it after we did. I had so much fun reading it with them!
This fated-mates, insta-love quickie features a gorgeous donut-hating witch and three hot bakers who shapeshift into... donuts.
This is as silly as it sounds, but its all in good fun and though it ties in to a couple Mia Harlan's other books, it functions well as a stand-alone story and it serves as a tasty sample of her writing style.
This light, fluffy, sugar-crusted palette cleanser gets 3½ stars from me.
What sweet hell of a fever dream was this?!? This novella was too bizarre an opportunity to pass up, but I almost wish I had. It’s the longest 27 pages I’ve read in “romance” and it was just lacklustre, for such an outlandish premise.
I can’t tell whether the author loves carbs or hates them - but our MFC sure starts off hating them, until a magical pumpkin spice latte changes the course of her life forever.
Jetta hates donuts. She hates how they smell and doesn't eat them. So when a donut shop opens near where she lives, she sends them letters asking them to get a witch to mask the smell coming from their shop. They don't which makes her really mad. So when she meets a woman and is invited back to her shop for a coffee, she goes but there seems to be a spell on the coffee she's served. Jetta is a witch and can detect the spell but doesn't think it's malicious so she drinks it anyway and then gets in her car to go home, only to find herself in front of the donut shop. Because the spell on the coffee was to help her find her fated mate or mates and now she can't stop herself from going inside the donut shop.
Inside the shop she finds three shifted donuts. At first she is horrified to think that her fated mates are donuts and then they start to shift and she realizes that they are donut shifters and they also shift into men. Three gorgeous men who are all her fated mates and they show her that donuts aren't that bad.
This book was definitely different. I love a shifter romance but I've never read one where the shifters shifted into inanimate objects. So while it was a cute, sweet romance. It was also kinda strange. It was a fast paced novella though and I did laugh while reading it.
What a funny and weird novella. So we have Jetta who lives near a donut shop and oh my goodness is she a Karen. Yes people I called Jetta a Karen because of what she says and does. She seems uptight and she really needs to relax. But hey that all changes the moment she gets a taste of PSL. Now we also learn that she can feel magic in things and she does. Then we have the guys Andres, Brooks, and York who are shifters, but not your typical shifters. They own the donut shop LOL. So what will happen when they meet their fated mate. Well it definitely gets interesting that is for sure. Check it out to find out what happens. It is a quick read and you will get some good laughs.
I did love the pastry one more BUT this one had three donut shifter and their mate who hates donuts. Talk about enemies to lovers 👀
Please enjoy my favorite quotes:
🍩 Men stink. Some reek of potpourri, and other reek of donuts.
🍩 “It’s been a crazy night out here. First, the chairs tried to run away. Then, the table started crying. And the mugs needed dresses. Now, the espresso machine has… opinions.”
🍩 Nope, the pumpkin spice latte spell is a fated mate spell… and my mate is my worst nightmare. A donut.
🍩 “You guys are the Squishy Shifters.” I frown. Squishy Donut nods. “I’m Andres.” He gestures at Jelly Donut. “That’s York. And that”—he nudges Lump of Dough—“ is Brooks.”
This is a quick, fun read, set between Silver Springs and Moonlit Falls, and showcasing every bit of Mia Harlan's unique and twisted sense of humour! Who else could come up with donut shifters?! I'd love to see some of these characters pop up across the rest of the shared universe as cameos.
It was hilarious and quick read. Get yourself ready to take a hilarious ride to this paranormal world filled with a lot of donuts, sugar, curse and a lot more. It is certain to get best of your imagination.
✳️A steamy hilarious read, that's what 'Her Donut Shifters' is. This is my first book of this kind (Reverse Harem) and my experience was 😱😱😱 (shocking will not be the right word, so using this emoji instead).✳️
How I met 'Her Donut Shifters' :
✳️🔹A fun group - a pretty lady - destroyed all our eyes and imagination - by suggesting an weird donut experience🔹
This is what happened. We were innocent, just not anymore.✳️
✳️This book was stupid, but I don't know how, this book brought a lot of bookstagrammers closer. Perhaps that's the reason why this book was written ( Just Kidding 😂). Reading this book is a risk😂. So if you want to take that chance, then I'm sure you'll never be the same anymore 😂. So read with Caution !! By the way hats off to the person who wrote this book. Mia Harlan is awesome 😆✳️
NB: I can't see donuts/doughnuts the same way before 🍩🍩🍩
This is a thing I was forced to read, and now I have read it and have thought about the logistics of sexy donuts. I guess if food play is your thing, then this is the book for you.
This thing is 27 pages, and the only expectation I went into this with was to laugh, which I did. It’s ridiculous and hilarious in how ridiculous it is. Inanimate shifters who somehow haven’t accidentally been eaten before? Sure, why not? It’s so ridiculous that I had a good laugh. Partly bc of the pacing bc it’s instalove, which you’d expect with this short of a novella haha. One moment Brooks is like my mate is the one who sent those hate letters and tried to get our donut shop closed?! And the next he’s like screw that, who cares, and they all bang. The end.

Finally a book I chose to read not because of the blurb but because of the title hehe, sorry I'm not like jetta cause I love me some donuts and men making them well sign me up straight away I mean like yesterday I need sugar and donuts and 3 hot men who make them.
Nope this book is killing me donut shifters like for real, omg I'm in stitches I need more books like this I mean omg it's a master piece.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
2.5 Stars The ridiculous premise, and a few good reviews by GR friends, had me giving this one a try. Sadly, it wasn't a winner for me. It's too short to develop the feelings that I need for a RH, or even for a romance at all. I'm not sure that I understood what the point of the donut shifters even were, and when that is basically what the whole book is about, it just didn't work for me. I will say, the writing was good enough to draw me into the story/world, just not the romance.
A short, sweet (quite literally) and a daft read. Doughnut hater Jetta (FMC) gets more than she bargained for after going to Jewels Cafe. 3 doughnut shifters (yes you heard right, lol) York, Brooks and Andres. The story is a cute one and a bit steamy one. I love these Silver Spring library books so much and this one was just as good as the others in the series
This was such a hilarious read!! I swear I'm definitely not going to see donuts the same way again after reading this story. But I would totally loved the same ability to eat all the donuts I want with out the calories #goals. Overall this was the most ridiculously stupid thing I ever read but I couldn't help but smile when I was reading this. So if your looking for a silly and fun read then I totally recommend that you one click this book.
This book made me laugh. Jetta hates donuts so much she keeps trying to shut down the donut shop that opened down the street. She learns that her fated mates are donut shifters. They help her overcome her distaste of donuts in a creative and enjoyable way.
3.5 Quirky, very-quick-read stars. I chuckled the whole way through this one. A nice little break in the middle of some more heavy reading. Donut shifters! Cracked me up.
That was simultaneously adorable and fun. The title says it all, so let's not be too critical about donuts, okay? Loved this and I can't wait to find more like it!
