I had the great privilege of taking a reading class on the Greek text of Philippians and the pleasure of meeting Dr. Varner during a Zoom call with the class. Just as in person, Dr. Varner wrote a great handbook on the Greek text of Philippians. It is very helpful and discussing the grammar of the book as well as alerting you to unique Greek grammar and constructions. He also lets you know when a weight is only used once in the Greek New Testament in Philippians.

It is an easy read though it deals with the difficult grammar of the text from time to time. It is informative and excellently researched and written. I highly recommend you get this commentary when you're studying Philippians in the original language.
