Nations tremble and dragongods fall, when a hero takes revenge. They should not have touched Alron's women.Alron was the strongest dragon-core warrior of Fivewyrm Ascendancy, a master of his draconic vestiges. Together, they will break limits of mortal Explicit harem bonding scenes (including FFFM, FFM, FF and FM), ruthless dominant op mc, epic battles, savage revenge, and a cultivation inspired dragon-power progression setting.
Well done overall, but could have used a bit of trimming in my opinion. If you ever want a book that shows various sets of "good intentions" paving roads to hell, it's right here. The MC is asked, and indeed asks himself, repeatedly, why is he doing all of this?
I prefer a hero I can identify with, but after getting some payback for the people who've wronged him and his (quite egregiously in this case) I really can't get behind Alron's mass slaughter and complete disregard for civilian casualties. Good story overall, and the author's imagination is quite "active". That last bit is actually a compliment, as I've tried writing a book of my own and found that imagination is what I lack.
I will check out a sequel if it arrives, but this book could stand alone. In the words of Dr. Manhattan, "nothing ever ends" but there are good places to stop.
A well written book with a non human centric culture. If you can imagine a dragonfolk conan the barbarian with some xanxia mixed in that’s well put together that’s this book. I enjoyed it
If you are looking for a true novel, one of a hero and his wives. Following Alron and his story to of vengeance and learning of the betrayal him and others suffered is great.
But seriously, if you are looking for a novel not broken up into a series. Then this book is for you.
Good read. The beginning doesn't seem like a beginning. It's like I started on the 10th chapter. Some parts moved very fast and had little chance to feel the weight of the decision of consequence of the event. Hope there is a second one continuing the story. Maybe do a combo of his time before during training and meeting the girls and his current quest.
As always a very well written nd edited story! Enjoyable characters, great adult fantasy action and excellent world building!! Keep up the very entertaining stories!!!
I have read many books, and few have such a unique and wholly strange world as the one in this book.
The story is thrilling and highly engaging, although confusing during the first parts of the book as we, the readers, slowly learn about the world and their forms of power and ascension.
As the story goes, explanations begin to emerge organically from character thoughts and conversations that expand our awareness of how the world works. A brilliant technique that allows us to look back on what has already been read with a new light.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am keen to see what other writing Sian Attwell has written!
This was a really good book. It had a great story and likeable characters. My only complaints are 1. I don't like the shifting POVs. 2. I don't like story twists that are basically just a lie told by the author. If the author says "this is this" and then toward the end he says "this was something else all along" that is not a clever twist it's just a lie. Twists have to be subtle and cleverly hidden. 3. There's quite a few plots holes that are just ignored. Still a very good read.
This book is well written and has intesting charactors/ world building. And still I find the MC to be completely unlikeable and struggled with this book because of it.
