This is an ARC from Mary Stone and another great read. Dr. Autumn Trent is back with the FBI BAU after 5 months at Quantico. She left for the training with a heavy heart because she felt she was deserting her friend and fellow agent Winter Black. Now that she is back maybe she can help Winter.
Before she can help, the unit gets a request to investigate a death that looks like suicide but the family is sure was murder since the brother had just talked to her. During the investigation they release that there is definitely something going on. There have been way to many suspicious deaths around members of Harmony House. Autumn goes undercover at Harmony House to find out the truth. Are the deaths murder or suicide? Is the leader of Harmony House the murderer or just a criminal. This book keeps you guessing til the end and all is not what it seems

I'm really beginning to struggle with these books. The author really likes to dwell on things that have already been mentioned. In the last book she explained why Autumn had an ability twice in the story as if it was the first time it was mentioned. SSA sometimes means Supervisory Special Agent (correct)or it can mean Special Supervisory Agent (incorrect). And if I hear the phrase "the woman he loves" out of Noah, I just might scream. We get it. You're in love with her.

Frankly I'm also tired of all the angst from Noah, Autumn, Winter, Aiden, and Mia. These are the most guilt ridden characters I've ever read. And dial Chris back a little. He's bordering on being non believable.

Whew, I think that got it out of my system.

SUCH GOOD READING

I rated this book at 5 only because it was the highest it would let me rate it. this book deserves a much higher than a 5. Thi author, Mary Stone, has been my favorite author since I've been reading her books I've read all that you've written and it all just as good as the other she is such a good writer the characters pop right out of the page. You really get to know them and you really feel they're real people not something made up but that the whole thing is actually happening I love her writing so much I won't miss a book that she writes. I can't even in words Express how good they are you would have to read it even believe me you can't put them down once you start them and they're all like that not just one not just too but all the series she writes are like that. And I'm a picky reader if I don't get into something right away I'll just put it down but I've never put one of hers down not until the end and there are more on Amazon. I only have one left of hers is the new stone book and that's the one I'll start tonight can't write fast enough to keep up with me I need to slow down I'm going to get bummed when I run out that'll probably be tomorrow morning. If you haven't read any of Mary Stones books yet take a leap of faith and you will not be sorry she is just so darn good I never been this impressed by a writer.. and I can't imagine a writer write any better than Mary Stone I don't think it's possible. I already can't put them down. I would call her an olympic gold writer. It just doesnt get any better than this.

Get Your Head In The Game, ladies!

Autumn has finally taken the required training as t Quantico and become an Agent. No longer " on loan" for assignments she is prepping for her first day on the job. A morning run with her best friend and fellow agent, Winter Black, is the perfect start. But us Winter really ready to return to the field following her harrowing kidnapping and crime spree with the deranged serial killer ( and brother) Justin?
As the morning briefing begins, the pair along with the FBI Behavioral Analyst Unit, take in a string of suicides which may be connected to Harmony House. Is this a place of love and safety or a cover for a delusional and murderous prophet?
Autumn career begins with a dangerous undercover assignment while Winter fights to regain her sanity and defeat her personal demons. Can the BAU team survive this test, or is the damage too deep?

Autumn has returned from her training at Quantico and Winter is still recovering from her ordeal with her brother Justin Black. Autumn, Winter, Noah and their fellow FBI Agents are assigned a case in a small town to determine if suicides are really suicides or murders. This is Autumn’s first case as a FBI agent and Winter’s first case back in the field since her kidnapping. Autumn is paired up with Chris Parker and she has to deal with his bad attitude.
Autumn goes undercover at Harmony House and finds everything is not as it appears. It keeps you guessing at who is the killer.
Justin Black is helping Autumn’s tormentor and things are going to get dicey in the upcoming books.
I really would like to see Autumn and Aiden get together and for Justin Black to be brought to justice.
Mary Stone has another winner with Autumn’s Risk. The books can be read on their own; however, if you have not read any of Autumn’s books, I suggest you start with Autumn’s Game.

Autumn has returned from completing her courses at Quantico and is now a full fledged FBI agent. She is plunged into a case where people appear to be committing suicide. Autumn goes undercover in a cult. More people die once the FBI gets involved. One of them is a young woman who had befriended Autumn. Winter ends up saving the day and catching the bad guy but you can see she is still struggling. This book moved the series forward but there are still outstanding issues from the previous book. The author is drawing out the conclusion of that storyline but in doing so is bringing other great stories to the forefront. I must admit I'm getting impatient and reading the books one after another. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

Meine Bewertung: 10/10 Punkte.

This is Autumn's first case as an official BAU agent and she goes undercover to investigate a religious organization that many "suicide" victims seem to have been affiliated with.

Meanwhile, Winter is back as well but not looking like herself. It seems she picked up a little pill addiction to silence her brother's voice in her head.

The whole team is involved, and Agent Chris Parker seems to have a pretty big role. I'm curious to see where the story goes with him because even though he's mostly a jackass, ever since we learned his backstory I mostly feel bad for him.

Anyway, the case was solved and it's on to the next one. This series is addictive.

Love the series but...

I love this series and the characters. Mary Stone's writing puts you right smack dab in the middle of each character's thoughts and actions, including their pets.

However, it was hard to believe that Autumn would start falling under the spell of the serial killer that She profiled as a cult leader, scammer, and serial killer. And I just can't take Winter being so weak but being allowed to work in a job that requires her to carry a firearm. The characters are not perfect, but I suppose this is what makes the series compelling. On to the next book!

Autumn's Risk ( Autumn Trent Book 6)

Autumn has finished her training at Quantico, and is now officially an FBI agent. The BAU unit has just requested help from a small town in Virginia where there there appears to be a number of suspicious suicides. It appears there may be a link to a group who preaches love and support to those who appear to be 'lost souls', when in reality they might actually be a cult. The suspense ramps up when Autumn goes undercover there. This is a fantastic read!

A terrific story

When all signs point to the current deaths being suicides, most people believe they are just that. However, when the families, medical examiner, as well as others, start questioning them, the FBI is finally brought in. Will they be able to figure out what's going on before it's too late? You'll have to read this to find out.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

Another great read!! Autumn has completed her Quantico training and goes undercover - you need to read the WHOLE series, start with the Agent Winter Black series to get a rounded view of what's happening, how Winter meets Autumn and how Autumn gets involved with the FBI - Mary Stone is a marvel! I laugh out loud at times and gasp in shock, I just can't stop reading these books... Mary Stone is a very witty, very clever lady - on to Autumn's Strike now!

more of the same

When will Autumn truly have her own series where she doesn’t have to share top billing with an emaciated and jumpy Winter Black? When will Justin’s reign of terror be over? When will the author’s fixation on Agent Parker’s hair style come to an end? These are questions that won’t be answered soon enough I fear. So sad. This is at best 2.5 stars. In the words of the author: to be continued. Damn!

Autumn's Risk

Autumn has finished Quantico and is reporting for her first day as an FBI Special Agent in the BAU. They head to a small Virginia town to investigate several suicides and their connection to Harmony House, A local cult type campus run by Damien Parr. Autumn goes undercover and find the murderer, a mentally unbalanced resident but also find Damien's shell companies, fraud and his money laundering enterprise. Great story.

It is Autumn Trents first case dunce graduating Quantico. She goes undercover at Harmony House to prove the leader of the cult is a crook and possible murderer. The mystery is solid and could be taken right out of the headlines we see today. There is drama there. Romance and sex seems to always be involved in a clut. Jealousy lurks underneath. Oh and let’s not forget there is a killer or killers on the loose.

Another Great Read

I had never read anything by Mary Stone until I started the Winter Black series. I read it in record time and am already through the first six of the Autumn Trent series. I love her books and getting to know these characters so well. I hope for many more to come. I can’t put them down.

Autumn is now a full agent and is under cover for her first assignment

Autumn has been to Quantico and passed now as a full fledged agent she is put on an undercover assignment. This brings all her FBI friends and enemies along also as they hunt for the truth behind all the suicides around Harmony House. If I could would have given this one a nine.

Under cover

This was a story with many side stories related the characters but it makes most endearing. The fact that they are FBI agents makes you wonder if they will prevail in their job or succumb to their own demons. The twists and turns make this series one where you can't wait for the next!

excitement with no end

I still love the page after page of mystery and excitement that keeps me rivited to each book in this series. Anyone who loves mysteries and romance mixed should read these. I still cannot find any excuse for anything other than a five star review and applaud Mary Stone for a great work. Thanks again Stone.

A great author, but...

This book took a little longer to get through. It was not as good as her other books. A little slower, more mundane read. The typos were more than just a few and the grammar left much to be desired... Hopefully, the next book is more exciting, like some of her previous books. I hope!

Suicide Or Murder?

Suicide or murder was the problem in this story. It could have been either one. The team went to help the local staff find the truth. While there they looked into a cult that was in the area. One of the agents went undercover to find out if the cul was involved.

Very intense. Love all Mary Stone's series but this may be my favorite. Autunm's stories are so good with all the squad present and trying to protect her even if she is well trained now. The intelligence of Autunm is put to work to override her empathy. I can't wait for the next book.

Another success! The saga continues in Autumn's Risk with just the right amount of suspense and convoluted hints. This is a great series with well developed and presented characters. I look forward to Book 7!
