Coop’s new client has been dead for the last twenty-five years.

Despite all their wealth and success, the Covington family has been cursed with tragedy. Twenty-five years ago, two horrific accidents threatened to ruin their business and livelihood. This, followed by two deaths in the family, forever change them. Now, the patriarch of the family is dying, and the son everyone thought died so long ago, returns.

Dax Covington wants Coop to help him prove his identity and find out who tried to kill him. Then, there is the matter of identifying the remains of the body buried under Dax’s headstone.

Dax ran away all those years ago, convinced he knew who the killer was and the motive, but was he right? He needs Coop’s help getting to the truth, even if it means the worst—someone he loves is the killer.

Will Coop be able to unearth old evidence and solve the case before it’s too late?
Cold Killer is the fourth book in the award-winning Cooper Harrington Detective Novels, featuring Coop, a Nashville lawyer turned private detective known for his love of coffee, snarky t-shirts, and talent for solving cases. He, along with his faithful dog, Gus, and his right-hand assistant, Annabelle, work together to solve murder cases full of twists and turns.

You’ll find a bit of humor, a dash of southern charm, a dog who is more like a furry best friend, plenty of comfort food, and murder, of course. If you enjoy complex characters with a few quirks and plots that keep you guessing, you’ll love Tammy L. Grace’s mystery series.

So great to read this latest Cooper Hartington mystery and reconnect with Coop, AB, Aunt Camille, and of course Coop's faithful dog companion Max. As Coop seeks to solve this 25 year old cold case and help a family reconnect the plot thickens and a number of suspects are revealed. It will keep you guessing and going back and forth between suspects as well as provide a lot of humor along the way. This may be my favorite Cooper Harrington read but they are all great!!

This is my first book in this series. Detective Coop Harrington finds himself working on a cold case involving a man who was thought to be a victim of a fire 25 years earlier. As the man, Dax wants to be part of his family, tangled mysteries arise, involving who set the fire, who had the most to gain, and what caused the accidents in the amusement park. Dax’s father Frank is overjoyed his son is alive but devastated by the results of the ongoing investigation. Coop is assisted by his associate AB. His family ties are woven into the book including his Rocky relationship with his mom. Fortunately his Dad and Aunt Camille are helpful and supportive.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.

Cold Killer by Tammy L. Grace is the fourth book in her award-winning Cooper Harrington Detective Series. These novels are what I would call "cozy mysteries" or "who dunnit" kind of books.

You will love getting to know Cooper Harrington (Coop) who wears silly sarcastic t-shirts and is a Nashville lawyer turned private detective after inheriting the family business from his late Uncle John. Coop has a knack for solving cold cases with the help of Annabelle (AB) his trusty assistant (who is now a master of disguises), Gus his golden retriever, and his Aunt Camille with her southern charm and flare for digging up information (or gossip) from her friends in town,

In his latest case Coop is hired by Dax Covington to help solve a murder…which just happens to be his own! It is a race against time as Coop and AB work to discover who “killed” Dax Covington 25 years ago!

You can read it as a stand-alone, but for me it was nice already knowing the background of the characters from reading the first three books in this series. The story is so well written you feel as though you are right there with the characters, and the intricate plot will keep you guessing until the very end! I stayed up reading all night long because I just couldn’t put it down.

Grab your favorite warm beverage and snuggle up in your cozy reading spot with Cold Killer: A Cooper Harrington Detective Novel. You won’t be disappointed!

I love a good mystery and this series, particularly this book, fits the bill for me. Cold Killer is book 4 in the Cooper Harrington series. I have only read two so I can attest to the fact you can read them out of order, but I can most definitely say that I am going back to read the other two. While I adore the characters, the mysteries are well-crafted and keep me turning the pages!

What you’ll love:

The characters are well-rounded and genuinely happy human beings who are a joy to follow throughout the plot. Cooper brings it with the quippy t-shirts and continually struggles to limit his caffeine intake. Annabelle (AB) keeps the whole business running smoothly, does some undercover work and does her best not to be tooooo fussy when Cooper goes for that extra cup of coffee. Aunt Camille is wonderful and even more fun with Charlie (Cooper’s Dad) as a sidekick.

As I mentioned previously, the mystery is well-crafted and the victims tug at your heartstrings. Dax reappearing after 25 years makes this cold case extra-intriguing and it is fun surprising suspects and family members alike with Dax’s return to the living. I enjoyed every interrogation as well as every moment of camaraderie between the family and Cooper and AB.

If you like a good mystery and characters that keep you smiling, this the book (and series) for you!

Note: I received a copy of this book from the author. This is an honest review.

This was my first book of the series and I can't wait to read the others!
Cold Killer is a wonderful detective series that had me hooked by the first couple of pages. Tammy Grace is a wonderful storyteller. Her characters are always interesting and well developed. There are exciting twists and turns in every chapter. I thought I knew the killer right up until the very end but another twist proved me wrong!
Coop is a private detective who reminds me of a cooler, modern day Columbo. He is meticulous with investigating leads. His approach to solving a crime is to step by step peel back the layers of information he receives until he uncovers the necessary pieces of the puzzle. Along with his assistant AB (could there be a future romance here?) and a couple of family members, the crew sets out to uncover a cold-blooded killer.
If you enjoy a juicy who done it story, this book is for you!

This is book #4 in the series and I have now read all four! I love the characters which includes Coop’s dog Gus and the plots in this series. I didn’t want to put the book down when I first started but I had to squeeze reading time in order to read to the end! In this book, a young man has disappeared for 25 years and wants Coop to investigate and help him reunite with his family. 25 years ago a young man dies in Dax Covington’s RV. His wallet was found in the RV thus the body found was assumed to be him. Dax was afraid it was murder and stayed away until he heard his Dad is sick. Coop, AB, and Ben all help Dax. Aunt Camille and Dad Charlie even help. The plot thickens toward the end and Coop finally unravels the death of the young man and his Mom’s suicide. I can’t wait for the author to write #5! I’ll be waiting……..and at the front of the line!

This is the 4th book in the series. You can read them in order or as a stand alone. Cooper and his faithful dog, Gus, will make you fall in love with their characters more and more with each book. Getting to know "Coop," Gus, and Coop's assistant, Annabelle makes me want to climb into the book and hang out with them. Between the intrigue, the quirkiness, and the bonds they form, you will not want to put this book down. I recommend reading the other books in this wonderful series as well. I was grateful to receive an advanced copy from the author.

Coop, AB, Aunt Camille, Ben, Gus! It was wonderful to catch up with my favorite mystery characters. You may think you have the killer figured out from the beginning. Guess again! Coop tackles a 25 year old case that has gone cold. Secrets are revealed along the way and a family in pain might be given the chance to reunite. Tammy gives us many fun extras along the way, such as Coop's infamous T-shirts, his huge breakfasts at a favorite restaurant and his close friendship with AB (maybe more some day?) The Cooper Harrington series is so much fun to read!

Great characters

When a man shows up at Coop and AB's office and asks them to prove who blew up his trailer 25 years prior, they immediately start to investigate. Before they can dig into what happened, they have to tell his father he is not dead and the father is the top suspect.

I really enjoy this series although it is not necessary to read all of the books or in any order. The characters are great, Aunt Camille is so perfect, and the relationship between Coop and AB works well.

Note for author Tammy Grace: I personally wouldn't mind if they were a couple.

This series hooked me from the very first book. Tammy has a way of letting you feel
Like you are part of the story.
By this I mean you know all of these people.
I have down loaded # 5 and am already feeling sad that will be the last book in this series.
I will tell you I will be reading her other series.
Enjoyable, comfortable, just a darn good read.
If you haven’t started this series, do yourself a favor. Down load number one now.

New author

This series is awesome, it makes you part of the family with her descriptions adventures and of course the murder mystery. There’s still one thing that has not happened, but I cannot say because then it would spoil for the other readers if Tammy Grace and you will enjoy it. It is something that you cannot put down so grab a blanket cup of coffee tea, and enjoy the series.

Intriguing Cold Case
This book is the fourth in a series. Each book is a complete mystery, but the backstory grows with each book. It would be best to read the series in order.
This is a clean mystery with no foul language, no gore, minimal violence, and no bedroom scenes. The story revolves around a 25-year-old cold case. There are many twists and turns with a nice ending. I am going to read the next book in the series now. But first, what are 'Stylish Clogs'?

To nice to be true

How disappointing life can be sometimes. How full of joy it can be at other times. This is a combination of the two with deceit, murder and some good old "oh no that did not happen" thrown in. You'll live the characters and wish they were your neighbors. These stories leave you feeling happy which nowadays is something to be grateful for. So, thank you. You are doing a great job.

Do you love a good old fashioned Detective Mystery? If you do, I would suggest picking up a copy of Cold Killer by Tammy L Grace. It was so nice to sit down with old friends and see what they are up to. I got so involved in their new case and could hardly put the book down. I started it before bed and read until my eyes were closing. I picked it back up the next day and read until I finished the book. It was so good y’all!

Coop is a Nashville lawyer turned Detective, AB (Annabelle) is his assistant and Gus is his faithful Golden Retriever. They solve murder cases that come their way. In this book Coop’s new client has been dead for 25 years! Sounds like fun. Right?

This is the fourth book in the Cooper Harrington Detective Novels. They are written as standalone books but, I would encourage you to read them from the beginning because you get to know background on the characters that are common in each book. I love these characters. They are so well developed and they care for each other. They become your best friends and that makes it nice to sit down and catch up with what is going on in their world.

If you love good friends, faithful dogs, and a good mystery, this book will be right up your alley! I’m already looking forward to the next installment of the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Tammy L Grace always includes a furry friend or two in her novels and that is one thing that I love about her books. The characters were great too - you will love them too.

This one had me from the beginning and had me staying up past my bedtime to read.

I received a copy of this from the author in exchange for fair and honest review.

The interaction between the characters make this book so interesting. They are real people in real life situations. The plots are complex enough to keep your interest. How can you not love a book that has Gus, the Golden Retriever as a main character. I didn't get the ending quite right, but it nicely tied up all the loose ends. This series definitely on my binge reading list.

Every book gets even better. There is great character development and Coop, AB, Ben, and others are very honorable people and diligent investigators. Aunt Camille and Coop's dad add even more fun and help. I am looking forward to a new book in the series.

Best of the series

This one, for me, was the best of the series. The mystery wasn't so twisted. Although I had it figures out early, the rest of the story was enough to keep me reading.

love the books — Want the tshirts

I loved Tammy Grace’s Coop Harrington series. The characters feel like old friends. Being from Texas I have trouble with y’all used in the singular, but I got over it as the series progressed. I hope she markets Coop’s T-shirts; I’d buy them.

Cold Killer

Coop takes on a case that began 25 years ago and is based on an entitled woman that has conspired to kill three members of a family to get what she wants. Coop and AB solve the case with the help of Ben. Great series of stories. Author is fluid, easily read.

The title says it all

This is a marvelously series. I love the characters and all of the plot twists and turns - and there were plenty. Once started on this book, like the rest in the series, it's hard to put down. Definitely an author I will continue to follow.

I love this series! Coop is an all around smart, decent, relatable guy and AB is the perfect partner. Food certainly has a big part in every story and every time they ate another donut or cookie, my mind was trying to calculate their calorie count each day!

Cold Killer was a super addition to the Cooper Harrington’s series. The main characters are the same very likable people and I love Gus! The cases AB and Coop have to solve are different and I enjoy reading about how they are solved. They really are fun books.
