For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Here's an astonishing claim. John 3:16 appears on everything from fridge magnets to sports stars' faces. But what does it mean? And how does it relate to you and me?

Disclaimer up front - I attend Grace Community Church, which is the same church Martin Salter, the author of 'So Loved', preaches at. So, maybe I'm a bit biased, but 'So Loved' is a brilliant long-form essay on the the most well-known and loved bible verse of all time - John 3:16. In simple, easy to understand language and a healthy dose of humour, Martin breaks down the verse itself while also examing what it means to be a Christian and follow in the faith of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
It's a brilliantly simple read but faith affirming and life changing if you allow it. Well worth the read for believers and non-believers alike.
