Loved it!
Despite it being a short novella, I enjoyed the story a lot.
I connected with the characters a lot, despite it being short. Loved the development, the chemistry, the issues explored, the romance felt deep and I was hooked on the plot completely - so good the entire thing was.
Can’t wait for another book!.

This is a second chance romance between Everleigh and Dawson. The author does a great job pulling you in and kept me glued to the pages from start to finish. It's well written with tons of emotions and a sizzling hot chemistry. The scenes are painted perfectly and the story flows fluidly. I loved reading their story and would recommend this book.

Early read of this, second chance, suspense, betrayal, action. Dawson and Everleigh, he broke her heart it changed her. There is someone lurking to make sure their don't have their hea, I loved their chemistry. Flutters for the reunion, animosity ♥️. Fab book.

I really loved this story. It was definitely a second chance love story between Dawson and Everleigh that also held a lot of suspense concerning what his father would do when he found out he was back in New York. This book was a little bit emotional for me, especially at the end. I was surprised by the realization of who was actually working against these two although there were a couple of hints in the story as well. I really wish that Tye had a little different outcome to the story but I guess that's what makes a good book........the unexpected. The book was steamy and I loved the characters. I loved this story. I received a review copy of this book and am leaving a voluntary honest review.

Stocks and Lies was a 'quick read' with an interesting storyline and a friendly cast of characters.
For me, the timeline didn't quite add up. Maybe if I'd read rather than listened to this, the nuances wouldn't have escaped me but there were times when I felt like I'd missed something.
Overall though it didn't really detract from my enjoyment of the story. I wonder though how much more invested I would have become with a longer version if, some points along the way, were more fully fleshed out.
I'd certainly read, and listen to, works from this author again.

First let me say C.N. has become an author I have enjoyed reading. I have only read a handful and this one did not disappoint. It is full of betrayal and love. Written so well with wonderful characters and captivating storyline. They have chemistry and it is a standalone with no cliffhanger

So so good! Everleigh never thought she would see Dawson again, especially after he broke her heart and left her behind. When they unexpectedly see each other again, will they put the past behind them, and get their happily ever after? Or is someone trying to keep them apart? The spark and chemistry between Dawson and Everleigh is almost magical. Dawson and Everleigh’s story is absolutely fabulous, I was hooked from beginning to end, it’s definitely a book not to be missed out on. Highly recommend.

Loved this second chance story. Dawson tore out Everleigh’s heart three years earlier and to their surprise, they got tossed together again. I love how the time apart allowed them each to grow and really figure out what they want and need out of life and a relationship.
There’s also backstabbing, corporate espionage and danger aplenty in Stocks and Lies.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book. It is the first book I've read from C.N. Marie after following her and seeing her posts in a few different reader groups.
I enjoyed this 2nd chance romance story. At times I wish there was a bit more detail or just a bit more of what was happening but that could just be me being fussy.
The characters were strong and àmusing, the story was well written, and I didn't want to put it down.
I'll definitely be reading more from this author in the near future!

What a great second chance read.
Dawson Parker let the love of his life go to keep her safe leaving New York was the best thing.
Everleigh is heartbroken that Dawson left her.
Forward a few years, Dawson owner of hotels in the UK as well as the USA, voved never to return to New York untill his partner Tye Renton said he had to sort the hotel out. Back in NY things start to go wrong when Everleigh turns up to a board meeting about a job that Dawson is heading. This story keeps you on your toes. With some twists and turns it's a really good read.

The book is a good, and enjoyable romantic suspense read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry almost magical. The twists in the story is not what you will be expecting. The story will take you on a fast and furious ride.

I just love reading every book that C.N. puts out. She brings so much to each one of her books that you can't but help get sucked into the story. With that being said, Stocks and Lies isn't any different. You get second chance at love, suspense, betrayal and so much action. The author hit so many of my favorite aspects a novel could have. Written in first person multiple POV, and New York! As a New Yorker myself I found this story to be very realistic and incredibly well written. Sucking you in from the first page, this book has everything from betrayal, lust and the story consumes you where you can’t put it down. My favorite from this author so far. Well done!!

Wow! This was amazing! Such an emotionally intense story! It broke my heart in places. Their chemistry was electric! Completely different story to this authors previous books but just as amazing and you will not be disappointed!

Lies, damn lies & statistics
Interesting read from C N Marie. This is the first of her books that I've read and I will read more.
I felt for the main characters, anticipated and hated the involvement of others. Just the right length and with a good pace.

Stocks and Lies is a perfect mix of Love and Hate.
I loved the chemistry between Everleigh and Dawson, is so well written that keeps you glued to the story. It's emotional and gull of twist!

This is a nicely developed story about Everleigh, Dawson and second chances. It is a well written story with a roller coaster of emptions. I love the characters in this interesting and passionate story. The story does have a little suspense and drama.

Good read

This is Dawson and Everleigh’s journey. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written flawless story, which is a second chance love story, which is an emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, enemies, trust, lies, heartbreak, suspense, and challenges, which leads to a compelling and unpredictable page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Just omg Dawson! From the very beginning I felt for this character. I imagined and felt like I lived this character. That I could feel his every emotion. He clutched at my heart when I learned of his past and his fears.
How he left the love of his life behind and had to live without her.
Everleigh is career driven and strong. She knows what she wants and goes for it. But she is hiding her heart from men. She has her life sorted out apart from that heart. She makes out she has it under lock and key but to me it's clear that it's in London. Taken when he left her suddenly. It's hard to feel for her too when her sadness takes you over. As the reader I felt conflicted(in a good way) on who to feel more for. The further I got into the book though those feels connected just as they do. But just when you think they have found each other and will live happily ever after, the truth comes out and all drama takes over.
This book has everything you could want from it. I found j was sitting there willing the characters on as they took on "the king".
Action packed but a happy ending my favourite kind.

December 18, 2021[did not finish @ 51%] both the hero and heroine felt very whiny to me, and it didn't take them long to fall into bed even though they did not see each other for a couple of years. pff....
