How can I fall in love with some alien when I don’t even know who I am?
Six weeks ago, I was a whole other person.
That’s what everyone tells me, anyway. But I don’t remember any of that. Or much of anything, to be honest.
The doctors call it retrograde amnesia. I call it hell.
When I’m drafted into the Alien Bride Lottery, I hope the Khanavai warriors will ignore me. I plan to keep my head down and continue working on recovering my memories. Anyway, what kind of alien idiot would want a brain-damaged bride who doesn’t even recognize her own name?
A giant orange beast of a Khanavai warrior, that’s who. He’s determined to help me regain what I’ve lost. I’m determined to go home and try to forget him.
But the more I remember, the more I worry that returning to Earth might not be safe.
And that bright orange alien could be the only one who can save me.
Fans of Ruby Dixon, Grace Goodwin, and Laurann Dohner will love this steamy new series featuring gorgeous, bright alien heroes and the sassy human women they choose as mates!
Every book in the Khanavai Warrior Bride Games series is a standalone romance and part of an interconnected series. Join these brides as they find a whole new world of happily ever afters.
USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and New York Times bestselling author Margo Bond Collins is a former college English professor who, tired of explaining the difference between "hanged" and "hung," turned to writing romance novels instead. She now writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, and science fiction romance. Sometimes her heroines kiss aliens, sometimes they kill monsters. But they always aim for the heart.
Elo, a counselor on Station 21, is notified when a Jane Doe comes through the transporter. One sniff later, he realizes that the Jane Doe (Emma) is his mate.
Normally, I don’t enjoy amnesia storylines. It oftentimes feels protracted and artificial, but this book is so short that the amnesia plot wasn’t so bad.
The romance took a backseat in this one, despite a strong connection and general reluctance in the beginning. Elo had no interest in finding a human mate, but…where the nose leads.
For the first time in the series, the reader is not clued into the mystery. In the past, we’ve known what’s happening (even if we don’t know why) when the characters are still figuring it out, but this time, we are just as clueless as the characters.
The ending was rushed. All of the answers were told to us without much explanation. What could’ve been an interesting conclusion was disregarded to set up for another book.
Despite this, my interest in this series has been resparked, and I am excited to see how the new changes to the bride lottery play out.
Jane Doe wakes up in the hospital after having a terrible car accident. She can’t remember anything about her life, except she is sure she was running from someone. Her Id chip has been tampered with so they have absolutely no information on her. While she is recuperating in the hospital her number is called in the Alien Bride Lottery and suddenly she is up in Station 21.
Elo Vardeshi is the only counselor on Station 21 and his life has gotten even busier since they changed the lottery rules so that any Khavana male can apply for a bride now. When he receives a call from the transport station he hurries down to find a tiny female in a hospital gown surrounded by men. Elo picks her up to carry her to the med bay, since she is too weak to walk, and immediately recognizes her as his mate. Now he is in a bit of a bind because if he claims her as his mate, he can’t be her guardian, but he can’t tell her she is his mate because it would be a breach of doctor-patient confidentiality. He decides he will take the medical route for now, at least until she recovers her memories. Upon examination by the doctor on the station they discover a “foreign” object in her brain. They think that is what is blocking her memories and is also sending out messages that makes her act violent occasionally. Elo also discovers that her number was not really called and she wasn’t supposed to be in the next bridal games. As Elo tries to figure out what the heck is going on, the doctor is able to safely remove the chip from her brain and she starts to regain her memory. She see’s two human men on the ship that she recognizes as who she was running from before her accident.
Can Elo unravel the mystery of who is trying to hurt her and trying to sabotage the games again? He is running out of time and may lose his mate before he has a chance to claim her!

I really enjoy this series. Each story morphs the original plot and adds more twists and turns to the Lottery.
Jane has amnesia and doesn't remember anything beyond the two weeks when she woke up in the hospital. Still struggling to come to terms with her amnesia, she is transported to Station 21. Elo the stations counselor is summoned to help deal with Jane and her dilemma. This is almost a whodunnit story as Elo sets out to discover how Jane was transported to Station 21, what is her actual identity, and who is after her.
An intriguing story that kept me up way too late last night (I won't start another one of these stories at 10 pm again - I keep turning pages until my Kindle hits me in the face). The mystery behind the attacks on Station 21 is getting deeper and I still wonder if there is a bigger mystery behind Vos besides his worries over ratings.
This is a must read for fans waiting for a new release from Grace Goodwin (it's been a while since she released a book). I am looking forward to the next book in the Alien Bride Lottery series.
A woman who has no idea who she is turns up on Station 21 as a contestant in the Alien Bride Lottery. Dr. Elo Vardeshi is the psychologist on Station 21 who is called to the transporter room when she turns up there wearing nothing but a hospital gown. When he picks her up to carry her to the medbay, he inhales her scent and realizes she is his mate. But how is he going to be able to be her doctor and help her if he lets anyone know that she is his? It's not like she can choose him when she doesn't even know who she is.

The only Jane Doe has are of the hospital she wakes upin after a car accident. As she is recovering in the hospital she is transported to Station 21. She has been entered into the Alien Bride Lottery. Who is going to want a bride with no name or memories. Elo is the stations counselor and as soon as he see Jane he knows she is his mate, but first he has to help her get her memories back. This is a grea addtion to the series. I look forward to reading many more in this series.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The suspense to finding out why Jane Doe had amnesia and why she was suddenly in the bride games was thrilling to read. As Elo tries his best to help keep her safe, he also scents her as his mate so his protective side kicks in. I definitely enjoyed the revelations in this story and hope there is more to discover about how Jane ended up on the games in the next book. . You lose your memory and find yourself in the Bride Lottery! What a read! I do love this series…Earth women are given a chance to find the alien of their dreams except Jane Doe does not know how she got to Space Station 21. The characters are richly developed and while Jane might find love, she also finds danger. Great plot twists and Collins always leaves a tidbit of unanswered questions. Download and enjoy ❤️❤️❤️.
This is the seventh book in the series and things are happening with the Bride Lottery. What started as an Alien reality show has changed into a mystery. Great story. Can’t wait to read what is next with this series. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a fantastic sci-fi romance! I loved it so much! It is sweet and steamy, fun and exciting.. Great page turner!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book 7 of the series and I have loved everyone of them but I think this one goes to the top of my list as the favorite. Elo Vardeshi is station 21 counsellor for Khanvai males as well as the humans that come for the bride lottery and on this day he is called to the transporter room and when he arrives he meets a female that has no idea who she is and how she got on station 21 but Elo knows straight away she is his mate but now she is his patient and it’s not ethical to be with her but he can protect her and help her for now. They call me Jane Doe and after a car accident and surgery she wakes in hospital with retrograde amnesia or that’s what they tell me and then in a blink of an eye I’m on station 21 in a hospital gown surrounded by huge alien men all looking at her and then a big orange alien turns up and he is not as scary as the others and is very kind and I trust him but I’m not sure why. Elo takes Jane to the Medbay and after test where run with there advanced technology they find a foreign object inside her brain that could be blocking her memory. The more they are together the closer they get and after the object is taken out of her brain she start to recall things and now her greatest fear is going back to earth because its not safe for her, now remember her own name Emma Dewitt and that her cousin Daniela might be responsible in some way. This is a must read book and if you like this one I just know you won’t be disappointed with the whole series. . I thought that this would be a cute light read…it turned out to be light in the story department more than anything.
Start with the good, both Jane Doe/Emma and Elo were both likeable characters. Lots of medical and tech speak.
Now to the part where I can’t go above 2.5 in stars. The plot itself was so convoluted and contradictory that I kept scratching my head and saying this doesn’t add up to what was previously said.
How did Emma end up on the station and how she lost her memory was a great stretch. Most of the book is Emma being sedated and yelling don’t sedate me.
The evil plot part made no sense and the stereotypical station director just made me sigh.
I mean one whiff and Elo knew?!?! Then without saying a word everyone suddenly knew that Emma was Elo’s mate?!?
There is potential here for this to be a good story…however there must be some logic to it. Make sure the world you are creating doesn’t backtrack and contradict itself a few pages later. The characters actually have to have some meaningful interaction for them to make you care about them as a couple. They spent a lot of the story apart, with brief shared moments. There are a host more that I can say but it would give the small bit of suspense in the story away. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
These are some of my most favourite books. I have loved the entire series and hope for many more. She comes round in hospital disorientated, in pain and with an intense fear of being put under. She has not explanation for it just a very strong gut feeling. When she does come back to herself she is told that she has amnesia and has been in a crash. She undergoes surgery and has only had the briefest amount of recuperation before she is suddenly dematerialsed and sent to Station 21 to be part of the Bride Lottery. She was even tied to the bed at the time! The only time that she feel safe at all is when the large orange Khanavi counsellor is with her. Elo was not having a great day. The usual complaint of ALL of the males wanting a mate is nothing new but it is stressful and depressing all the same. Called to the transport room for an emergency is the last thing he wants but he goes to find a small human female there who is in definite need of care. She is unable to walk so with permission he lifts her to take her to the medbay. It is at that very moment he discovers that she is his mate. How can he in good conscience tell that her when she has no memory of her own circumstances, let alone her name?
Jane woke up in the hospital after emergency surgery. She was told she had been in a car accident but she has no memory of it. As a matter of fact she has no memories of anything including her real name. When it was found out her identity chip was a fake she was handcuffed to her hospital bed. That didn't stop the Khanavai transporter from beaming her to the bridal game station. Jane is freaking out until she talks with Eloi. He promises to look after her and help her figure out what is going on.
Eloi has always felt like a second class citizen because he isn't a warrior. He is a psychological specialist wanting to help Khanavai warriors and human women during the Bride games. He never thought to look for a mate of his own even after it was opened up to Khanavais not in the military. That all changes the night he gets called to the transporter pad to help out a human woman. Just one sniff and he knows that she is his fated mate. However he has the dilemna that she was one of the bride game participants and she is his patient. She needs someone to help her with her amnesia but he is the only specialist around. Will Eloi be able to claim his mate?. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She vaguely remembers the hospital emergency room. Now the only thing she knows for sure is that there was an accident, she had surgery, and they want to know her name. They are calling her Jane doe because she doesn't know who she is or where she comes from for that matter. Elo Vardeshi is tired, he's the only counselor for the Khanavai males who are hoping to find their mate by participating in the Alien Bride Lottery. When he was called to the teleportation room, he had no idea that he would need to counsel a bride candidate with amnesia. These ae fascinating characters. They're well written and compelling. Elo and Emma (Jane Doe) are drawn together by the mystery of her memory loss and on her part, an unexplainable attraction to the large Khanavai who is determined to help her regain her memories. Elo quickly realized that the beautiful human woman is his mate, but if he wants to help her, he can't let anyone know. some exciting action, suspense, and an unexpected betrayal which gives this book a surprising twist. I think this is a must-read book and series.

"Retrograde amnesia. That’s what the Earth doctors had called it. I called it hell."
Jane Doe can't remember anything about herself or her life. That's bad enough when she's in a car accident on Earth, but when she's transported to Station 21 to participate in the Bride Lottery? How can she find her perfect match when she doesn't know who she is?
Elo is the counselor on Station 21, a place where warriors have been coming to find their mates... but now even those who are not warriors may have a chance. That's great for everyone else, for him that's an increased patient load.
This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read is a lot of fun. Jane Doe is relying on her instincts, particularly with regards to who to trust, as she tries to recover her past, and deal with her present. Elo has devoted his life to helping others, but Jane Doe tempts him to cross emotional lines as he investigates how she came to be on the station, and really explores the upstairs/downstairs aspect. Depending "where you are" two very different sets of events could be happening on the same station, with the crew having a very different perspective from the lottery participants.
What is simply fantastic story. As we know in each episode of the Khanavai Bride games there is a couple who meet their fated mate, but each book builds a deeper drama than the games itself. In this story we are introduced to a Jane Doe who has retrograde amnesia and she suddenly appears on station 21 but isn’t a part of the bride games. The Khanavai counsellor Elo Vadeshi is called to talk to Jane. When he picks Jane up to take her to the medbay, he discovers that she is his fated mate and the drama has only just begun.
Not only were people trying to plant a virus into the computer system now it seems that there is a microchip in Jane Doe‘s brain and she is there for more than finding a Khanavai husband. Once the microchip has been removed, we learn that Jane’s real name is Emma Dewitt. Hang onto your seat the ride has just begun.

A great addition to the Lottery Bridal Games. A woman is taken to the hospital after being in a car accident. They named her Jane Doe because she couldn't remember her name. While still in the hospital she's transported to Station 21 as one of the brides in the Alien Bride Lottery for the Khanavai aliens. Elo, a counselor was called to the transporter room to deal with the female. Elo finds that after he picks her up he smells her scent and knows that she is his mate. Wonderful story with a mystery on why she is found with a chip in her brain. There is a slow burn between Elo and (Emma) Jane Doe as they still try to get her to remember her life. The story has a great pace, has some action, romance, some steam and an awesome HEA. Can't wait to read the next book in this series. Highly recommend. . I enjoy this series! These stories are fun, short, entertaining alien romances with sweetness and some spice. Love the whole amnesia scenario too! I enjoy reading about the mystery unfolding. A Jane Doe was in a car accident with some troubling circumstances going on, and then on top of being in the hospital, she’s beamed up to Station 21 for the alien bridal games. She is still injured and doesn’t have her memory, so things are distressing for her. Luckily, lovely orange alien Elo is there to help her out; he’s the counselor on Station 21. Cute connection between Elo and “Jane”! I also appreciate that the bridal games are evolving to become a better version that makes choice an option. Although, some of the previous ladies never would’ve found love if they weren’t chosen in the lottery, but it’s better to give people the choice. Entertaining scenarios going on! The ending did feel a bit rushed, but I still loved the whole read. Looking forward to reading the next one!
I enjoyed this book very much and read it in one sitting. It's not very long but it manages to hold it's tension arc really well and kept me wondering what was going on.
I liked the characters, they were sweet and the hero managed to be masculine and tough without falling for all those typical alpha male pitfalls.
The story is about a woman with retrograde amnesia somehow sent up to station one for the bride lottery. I have not read the previous installments in this series so I don't know the entire context of these games, other that they are for Khanavai warriors to get mates. Didn't matter though, it was easy to follow and didn't rely much on previous information.
All in all a fun quick read and I might be inclined to pick up the other books sometime in the future.

This is a well written story. The characters are great, Elo is the station counsellor, he’s adamant he doesn’t want a bride despite being eligible. Jane Doe aka Emma is a human female who was transported to the station with the rest of the brides, however she’s been brought from a hospital after a serious car crash, she’s also not an actual bride. When she’s scanned in the med bay the dr finds she has something in her brain that shouldn’t be there, and it’s causing amnesia and her to act violently to the director of the games. She knows she’s running from someone on Earth but not why. It seems someone is trying to interfere with the bride games again and Elo plans to find out how and why, and then he can claim emma as his mate. Jane Doe, the female human lead, has transported onto the alien space station and she doesn’t know why or how. Eli, the male alien lead, is the onboard counsellor and is called to assist. He immediately discerns that she’s his mate but can’t declare that due to professional ethics and his desire to assist her situation. Now they need to discern how she got there, why she can’t remember her personal history, and why she’s been sent…
This long novella is dual POV, well written, and an interesting, clever story. I enjoyed watching Elo work through his emotions, given he had no intention or expectation of finding a mate, and Emma striving to work through who she was and her background.

I’m absolutely loving this series with all of these Khanavai warriors finding their mates in the bride lottery and this is the story of Jane Doe who was in a horrible accident she ended up in the hospital and when she woke up from surgery she couldn’t even remember her name, suddenly Jane Doe was surrounded by a bright white light and the next minute she was at station 21. Elo a psychologist and a Khanavai works at station 21 he is rushing towards the transporter room when he was called and there he finds a woman who doesn’t even know her name and when Elo takes her to the medbay her scent reaches his nose and now he is in trouble because this woman who has lost her memory is his mate. Another fantastic addition to this series I loved this story and I definitely recommend this book.
“Yeah, right. Like I would ever allow her to be chosen by any other male.”
This one was a bit disappointing. The series has been improving as time went by and this one just seemed a step back. I never really connected with the female lead, even after she got her memory back, and there wasn't the chemistry between them I have come to expect. Even the plot seemed less than exciting. Captured and Enemy were the two best, the others still very good. This ranks bottom of the series for me but if you're reading the series you can't skip it. There's too much in it that sets up the next book, Blackmailing, which has great potential.

This is such a remarkable series and I have thoroughly enjoyed every book thus far and this one matches the series for quality content and character development. This book features Elo and Emma. Emma has amnesia after a car accident and then she gets whizzed up to Station 21 as one of the brides for the lottery. Elo is called to assist her and he immediately recognises her as his mate. As her memories start to return she realises there may be more to her accident than she thought. The evolution of the lottery itself throughout the series is also really well done. Elo and Emaa are really lovely together and their journey will warm your heart. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Emma arrives on Station 21 with no memory of her name or past. Elo is the Station 21 psychologist and is called to help her, realizing she is his mate when he carries her to MedBay. They find a microchip in her brain and surgically remove it, analyzing the code to find out what someone was up to. The characters of Elo and Emma are well developed and the intense situations they get into keep you glued to the pages. The storyline has the usual Station 21 characters but now you see the dark side of some of them. The two attendants are still funny as they dress up future brides. The doctor and nurse are heartwarming as they try to help. Loved the ending/future.

I read this in the Volume 2 box set. It was supposed to be Betting on the Alien Bride Lottery in Vol. 2. Oh well. It's all on KU anyway, so I'm not out of anything. So, the story was interesting. A woman is beamed up to Station 21, and she's shivering and quaking in the transporter when she arrives. She doesn't know who she is. Khanavai psychologist Elo Vardeshi is called in to help. Who was this woman? Who was she running from? Who were the men in black surreptitiously asking for Jane Doe's whereabouts? It was up to Elo to save this woman from danger. And what secrets is Voss Klavoii hiding? This was a good mystery. I only wish that these stories were longer. I want to know about Khanav Prime. How has life been for the Brides after arriving there?
She was in the hospital recovering from surgery. She woke up with no memory. She had an illegal chip with someone else’s name. She doesn’t remember her name. Now she has no idea how she arrived on the Station 21 for the Alien Bride Games. Elo is the Station 21 counselor. He is called to help with the unknown and undocumented woman. When he arrives he helps her and realizes she is his fated mate. But he can’t do anything because of his medical ethics. She might have a mate already and she is his patient. Together they try to figure out who she is. Has a HEA.

I am a huge fan of the Alien Bride Lottery series. The short stories all have the same background story with Aliens losing their females and needing Earth females to mate with so they don't go extinct. Each individual story is unique and can be read as stand alone. I love this one as there is amnesia, intrigue, a huge orange alien who is not the usual warrior, and an undeniable attraction that leads to love. If you are looking for a quick read with heart and a good story line, then this is the story for you. I enjoyed the characters and the story. I would recommend it. . This enjoyable story in this series that I love is about Elo Vardeshi, the psychologist on Station 21 and "Jane Doe" who lost her memories after being in a car accident who is called as a participant in the Bride Lottery. Recouping in the hospital Jane is transported to Station 21 where she's met by Elo who recognizes her as his fated mate. Now Elo faces a dilemma between his vow as a doctor and what his heart what's. The twist and turns as we discover the true identity of Jane, along with their romance made their story an engaging read and another delightful read among this series. I volunteer to read and review this ARC that I received via Booksprout.
