Pirates Ahoy! #2

Storm Wavily and the Sea Lord

Rate this book
Get a wave from it all.

Miss Storm of the Wavily Witch Clan is settling into her new life as a pirate. All’s going as well as can be expected until The Pink Pearl and its crew encounter a cyclone that threatens to destroy them. The safety provided by a nearby harbor proves temporary when Storm and her fellow pirates are caught up in a murder investigation.

Trapped inside a palace with a pirate-hunting admiral, a long list of suspects, and an ambitious murderer, Storm has to take up the role of amateur sleuth once again. But politics are complicated, clues are scarce, the palace is huge, and — as the talking cat reminds her — it’s a dark and stormy night.

Armed with a hatched egg, a hungry cat, and a few spells, Storm sets out to solve the murder without getting arrested. Can she catch the culprit before disaster and Pooky’s hunger pangs strike again?

★★★★★ "More dangers to avoid, mysteries to solve, and fun to be had, for Storm, Pooky, and a new arrival. The plot thickens for Storm's life on the run, as well. Another great adventure, on and off the high seas. Highly recommended." -- CJ

★★★★★ "Storm Wavily and the Sea Lord by Vered Ehsani is a delightful read. I love the characters, even the cat, and the story is filled with humorous situations and snarky dialogue. I look forward to reading Storm's next adventure on the high seas." -- Rural Reader

★★★★★ "Another book about Ms. Storm! I love learning more about characters from other books and this one doesn’t disappoint. Once again Storm is caught between a rock and a hard place! (Where DID that phrase ever come from?!!!)" -- Sierraflower

★★★★★ "If you don’t subscribe to Vered’s news letter you are missing out. She has great stories, beyond her books, about her life and travels. All her books are awesome, this one didn’t disappoint." -- Linda B

Pirates Ahoy redux

If you liked Ms Ehsani's Wavily Witches series you will probably enjoy this similar series: A wayward Storm Wavily instead of her wayward granddaughter Evian; a ship named the Pink Pearl instead of an old estate and manor house; pirates instead of mobsters, an obnoxious cat instead of an obnoxious bat, etc. Of course there is still both humor and murder.

Where book 1 had us knee deep in pirate world building, book 2 gives us all the water witch goodness.

Storm finds herself entangled in yet another murder, this time it's not from the hand of a pirate.
As she works to uncover the culprit she discovers that someone else trapped with her has a secret life as well.

The pirates from the Pink Pearl are a sassy lot of scoundrel's. Though this book focuses mostly on Storm and her new frein-emy, Thomas, we get to see many of them in action again which is great. I was curious how one could transfer the small town feel to a ship, and this series does a great job of keeping the same vibe in a different setting.

The mystery is a double, while one is quickly solved, the second takes a bit more effort from Storm and Pooky.

You'll love this series, if you're looking for a cozy mystery with a new twist surrounding favorite troupes of the genre.

” Stormy Wavily & The Sea Lord” by Vered Eshani is a tale of one Storm Wavily ...a pirate water witch ...now investigator of mysterious occurrences....a
and her trusty Feline pirate companion “Pooky”! On a re-supplying stop-over In The African Kingdom of Wokovu...The merry band of “Pink Pearl “buccaneers are way-laid and arrested and only Miss Storm & Pooky can untangle that grave misunderstanding ...solve a dastardly murder...and still have adequate time left over for a much needed spot of tea...and warm cream. And with a African Chief ...Chieftess...Prince ...and a contingent of Her Majesty’s Royal Navy...plus a rather annoying ...yet handsome... champion who is definitely more than he admits. Read and see. Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.

Murder, Deceit and a Witchy Good Time

The fates are not smiling on Miss Storm and the crew of the Pink Pearl as they arrive at
the port of the sovereign kingdom of Wokovu. Old friendships will be brought under suspicion and new friendships will be forged, all while having a madcap romp and some watery good fun.

Storm Wavily and the Sea Lord by Vered Ehsani is a delightful read. I love the characters, even the cat, and the story is filled with humorous situations and snarky dialogue. I look forward to reading Storm's next adventure on the high seas.

Content 411: This is a clean read. There is no swearing or sex.

Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from the author. I am voluntarily submitting my honest review.

This series of Storm Wavily and her sea adventures are so much fun. Storm gets herself into and out of trouble and sometimes uses her witchy powers to do so. The story-telling is colorful, imaginative, and the dialogue is delightful. This would make a great movie. The characters are so diverse and creative, I absolutely adore them.
