Room 452

One mistake. One wrong room. Now every time I see him, I have to look at that smug, arrogant smirk. Ugh!

Why can't he leave me alone? And worse, why do I not want him to?

It's all a game to him though. It doesn't actually mean anything, but two can play this game. And no matter how charming Sawyer can be, I won't let him win.

Fun and scorching quick read by a new to me author. Wow, she brought the banter and the angst for this couple. I really enjoyed this one!

Sawyer and Blake both work at the same place- Blake's Daddy owns the company. She is the apple of this eye and Sawyer is the unwanted enemy in both their eyes. Thankfully at work she doesn't have to deal with the obnoxious guy very much.

A work trip has Sawyer and Blake unable to hide or dodge each other anymore. What happens in Mexico stays in Mexico right, unless said mishap is you accidentally trying to seduce the guy in the wrong hotel bed! Blake makes a grave mistake that he will not let her forget.
One hot and sexy kiss was NOT enough for him. He wants another taste and has wanted that for a long time. Now if only he can make her look at him like he isn't the dirt on her shoe.

These two had crazy chemistry and lust filled hate just oozed from the pages. Sawyer was quite the dirty talker and I was down for everything he said. There was drama and angst. I felt for each of them. They tried to fight the pull for so long, but always end up with lips crashing together.
Their banter was so fun and true enemies to lovers fashion!

Please give this one a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Fantastic quick read

Blake and Sawyer are the epitome of enemies to lovers romance with a little bully thrown in there. It was a quick read and the plot moved skiing nicely. The steam was on point! Highly recommend!

A language all their own

What happens when two messed up people made for each other come face to face? This. I really loved Sawyer. Having Chip come on the scene rounded out his character and filled in all the missing pieces. The way Sawyer and Blake spoke to each other was rough but by the end they turned it into a language of love. A hot, sexy read.

I do enjoy a enemies to lovers story, and this book definitely delivered on that. The exchanges between Blake and Sawyer were sometimes funny and fiery. I did like Sawyer, but maybe that is because I like an arrogant sexy arsehole in books; but I also like someone who is funny too.
There was a bit of slow burn in this book too; which I liked because the sexual chemistry was great between these two.
It was a very good read with a lot of sexy scenes.

The enemies to lovers trope is probably one of my favourites. Combined with office romance, Room 452 is easily a 5⭐️ read for me! It is a quick, easy and sexy read told from Blake's perspective. We also get one chapter from Sawyer towards the end of the book.

Blake is a feisty, beautiful and independent manager who works for her dad. Sawyer is one of the top salesmen in the industry who works in the same company. Right from the start, Blake has this unexplainable hate towards Sawyer and it’s snark snark snark from there on. I swear they have some of the funniest convos 🤣 The story starts off at a work conference in a Mexico retreat. Blake is looking for some fun with a coworker Todd, but she ends up in the wrong room with Sawyer after having too much to drink 😈

The passionate makeout sesh ignites something inside of her and she hasn’t stopped seeking him out since. Sawyer also keeps cockblocking her and it is hilarious! They may not be willing to admit their feelings, but they definitely can’t stay away from each other. The supplies closet, the storage room, the basement...they cover a lot of grounds 💦 The smut is on point, and I adore the cute sweet moments shared between Blake and Sawyer as well. The heart to heart talk in the cabin, the cuddle on the couch and the wine tasting game at team building 😍

Chip is another important character. Him coming into the story helps answer questions we have about Sawyer’s past and explains why he is the way he is. Both Blake and Sawyer fear abandonment and rejection, they don’t want to risk giving their hearts away to someone who may not reciprocate. Luckily, they finally come to their senses and overcome their ego. The epilogue is EPIC and all I can say is it ends in a Blake and Sawyer style 🔥😏

On paper, I should’ve loved this, but in terms of execution, this wasn’t for me. The writing itself and the general plot was fine. That said, I couldn’t stand Sawyer as a love interest. Every time he opened his mouth, I was annoyed. I’m all about a well-written charming douchebag. However, this guy seemed to be incapable of saying a single line that wasn’t a sexual innuendo or ‘witty’ comment. The entire book I kept thinking about how exhausting he would’ve been to deal with in real life.

The relationship drama did get interesting towards the end. I couldn’t help but get irritated though by . Like I said, this wasn’t the worse thing I’ve ever read, but I was glad when it was finally over.

I was kindly gifted a copy of Room 452 by the author in exchange for an impartial and honest review.

This book was amazing it was such a fun and easy read that you got lost in when I picked up the book I thought oh I’ll give it a few days to get through. I was wrong it took me 12 hours on and off to devour this.

This contemporary romance has all the tropes we love to see enemies to lovers, oops I’ve gone to the wrong room oh you fancied me all along.

We follow Sawyer and Blake through the corporate world, it’s never disclosed what it is they sell but Sawyer is not something you want to go up against. As someone who works in a corporate job I wanted to know if this company is hiring because I want to work wherever they work. There are holidays to Mexico, lodge getaways, corporate balls and swanky apartments.

The narrative starts off as a company retreat in Mexico where everyone is encouraged to drink in excess and find a partner for the night. We see Blake trying to seduce her friend Todd, Todd is a classic nice guy but falls for the trap of right place but wrong time. A drunken mistake leads to mistaken identity and ignites passion for both of our loveable characters.

The event sets of a domino reaction where these enemies turn into passionate lovers.

I totally recommend this book for the smut, for the steam, for the plot and for the characters. You will not regret picking this book up!

Enemies to lovers 🔥🔥🔥This book was absolutely amazing and so well written. I was fully invested with the characters, Blake totally independent lady who knows what she wants (or doesn't as it seems) and Sawyer with his arrogant, cocky attitude...so hot! Together it's a non stop emotional roller coaster of hotness. The steamy scenes are so well write and well HOT!
This is definitely a must read. I can't say how hot this book is enough! 🔥🔥🔥

This was a good quick read. Just the right balance of enemies to lovers and spicy scenes. I found Blake to be a bit annoying at times. However, I don’t think they elaborated enough on her family trauma. I think that would’ve better explained her relationships, in lieu of Sawyer calling her out.

Overall really fun to read through their quips. No big dramatic storyline, which was a nice change up.

Room 452 is Hot, Hot and did I mention it was HOT!

He’s cocky and arrogant. She’s feisty and independent. She hates his guts. He’s keeping secrets. Together they’re explosive. The banter between Sawyer and Blake is just soo good. Their denied attraction makes for some good heated moments.

This is a great steamy enemies to lovers romance.

Hot Read!

This is my first book by T.L. Quinn and I’m obsessed. Room 452 is a sexy, enemies to lovers, romcom.

It had me laughing and smiling for the whole book, the banter between our main characters is downright hilarious.

You end up falling in love with these feisty characters by the end and she delivers our happy ending. If you’re in the mood to laugh, and need some serious steam this is your read! Be sure to add this to your reading lists 📚

I’m lucky to still have an e-reader, as I’ve been tempted to hurl it against the wall more than once this week.

Room 452 is the best of the ‘arrogant alpha hole’ books I’ve read this week. Yes, he smirks, but not as much as the others. I’ll forgive him for that.

This book wasn’t bad at all, but your eardrums will be bleeding by the end of it. The story is an office romance between Blake, daughter of the CEO, and Sawyer, a brilliant marketing executive who Blake’s daddy was forced to employ at the company, so everyone hates him, especially Blake.

It’s a classic hate to love trope, with executive romance, angst and “oops, wrong bed,” thrown in. And THERE IS A LOT OF SHOUTING!!!!! Black and Sawyer seem incapable of communicating with each other without yelling, snarling or spitting. At times it seemed like a late-eighties romcom with Gary Oldman and Sarah Jessica Parker.

The steamy scenes were hot but I felt the opportunity for some raunchy, angry sex wasn’t exploited nearly enough, especially given how much they seemed to love/hate each other. The other office employees turn a blind eye as Sawyer drags Blake into the stationery cupboard on more than one occasion, but the whole story seems scrappy and a bit haphazard. It would have been easier to read if the volume had been turned down just a tad. It’s a shame, as I didn’t feel I knew Blake and Sawyer any better by the end.

Cute and Shouty

Room 452 by T.L. Quinn was spicy and rather shouty.

Blake and Sawyer work together, but Blake can't stand Sawyer. He's cocky, flirty, and annoying. After mistaking his room for a different hookup whilst on a retreat in Mexico, they share some spicy kisses and then all hell breaks loose. Blake can't deny Sawyer's hotness and Sawyer wants to push Blake into admitting that she wants more.

There's a lot of back and forth with hating each other and miscommunication (snark, snark, snark), plus some great spicy moments (storage closets are fun), but they have such a hard time letting their guard down and opening up. Sawyer's arrogance is infuriating and Blake's denial and general poor attitude are exasperating which makes them absolutely perfect for each other.

I didn't care for either character's personality really, but the story was cute. 💚

I know that the point of steamy romance books isn't exactly for it to be believable. And I'm also generally a huge fan of the enemies to lovers trope. But this book really just didn't do it for me. There was too much "I hate you" sex and the miscommunication killed me. I can't stand it when the whole book is one big miscommunication.

*My reviews contain spoilers*

Now that is some great steamy office romance! 👏

I'm really trying to figure out how to describe what I've read. This is how awesome this story was. This book was amazing. The plot was great and the characters were both intense.

Sawyer and Blake work at the same company and they do not particularly like each other. Well..Blake doesn't like Sawyer to be honest. She wants to stay away from him but the sexual tension... THE SEXUAL TENSION people!..doesn't let her.

Actually Sawyer doesn't let her. He is cock blocking her all the time until she admits that all she wants is him. I swear that this man is impossible. He is literally barging in wherever she is in order to show her how much he can turn her on. I fucking love this man.

Blake is such a sassy woman. She tests Sawyer's patience all the time by telling him that what they have means nothing and it is just sex. Sawyer on the other hand is possessive as fuck. He knows that Blake is his and he proves her exactly that all the time.

They are both afraid of their feelings about each other. They both fuck around but they do not commit because they are not sure how the other one feels about them.

My favorite part was the office scene towards the end after their fight...and fuck me, I read that thing five times before I move on. 😈😏😏

This book has a lot of explicit sexy scenes so by all means...ENJOY 😉. The author positively surprised me this time. I've read another book from her in the past and I had really liked it but this time I LOVED IT. I feel that she is evolving and that her writing style becomes more and more flawless. I don't know what else to say other than this is office romance at its greatest 🖤

Fun, fun, fun and sexy AF!!! Room 452 was a great read! Enemy to lovers to the best! The story has a bit of drama, comedy and sexiness to make you turn and turn the pages. I loved it! Two co-workers that can’t stand each other, but when they are in the same space, sparks fly between them and the temperature rises a few notches. It takes one misunderstanding, a failed hook up, and one wrong number in a Mexican resort to take their banter to the next level.

Blake is a sassy and independent woman who works at her dad’s company, but her life hasn’t been easy. Because of her mom’s alcoholism, Blake’s mother wasn’t present in her life, in and out of rehab. She was raised by her father and they had a good relationship, but she had a hard time trusting people.
Sawyer is the sexy, arrogant man who drives Blake insane with his cockiness. He is the hot shot sales guy acting up and putting a fake front on, so no one would find out about his past.

The characters are fun, and their chemistry is palpable. Their quarrel and banter with lots of sexy innuendos gets lots of laughs from the readers, but also makes their relationship hot, steamy, scorching hot, fun and sexy, and did I already say hot? With their forced proximity, they get to know one another, as their secrets and fears unveil, and it’s great to see their evolution as humans, and understanding that love is right there, in front of their eyes.

Sawyer’s secrets and Blake’s past are very interesting, and it was a pity they didn't get to be explored that much in the story, giving the characters a little more depth and the readers would get to know them even better. The scenario in the book is gorgeous, starting in a resort in Mexico to a cabin in a snowstorm to end in a gorgeous country style little house.

The story is enthralling, and you get so caught up in it that when you realise it, you’ve reached the last page. If you love scorching hot, enemies to lovers romance, you should definitely read Room 452!!!

This book is very captivating, the writing is very well done, It felt like I was the characters feeling their emotions at times. We get to see things from Blake’s POV and there is a tiny bit on Sawyer’s POV which was nice to see how he felt.

Blake is working at her dad’s company and is currently on a company retreat in Mexico. She finally wants to hook up with Todd, they have been flirting for a long time and it’s finally time. She asks for his room number and after a lot of alcohol, Blake gets his room key. But with the amount of alcohol she has had does she actually remember his room number? Or is she about to make a massive mistake?

Life wasn’t easy for Blake, having a mum who had issues and needed help meant that she wasn’t in the best place. When Blake’s dad didn’t have his eye on the company, Sawyer tried to steal all the sales away, this is why Sawyer had to be hired. Not that Blake’s dad likes having Sawyer work for him. Sawyer is an emotionless machine with a charming smile. He doesn’t have feelings for anyone but himself. That’s how Blake and her dad see him.

Sawyer has some hidden secrets that no one at the company know. Can he keep these secrets hidden from Blake?

On the company retreat all Blake wants to do is have sex, when she is back home she struggles to find the time when she is constantly working, so she has an itch that she wants scratched. But a certain someone just won’t leave her alone, every time she gets close to someone he gets in the way. What is his problem?

The steamy scenes in this book were incredible, they were very well written and tastefully done.

I laughed and cried at this book, I could not put it down and almost finished it in an afternoon.

I recommend that you read this book as I think everyone needs a bit of this story in their lives.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! Warning you will laugh until your side hurts and tears are rolling down your face. Blake and Sawyer can’t stand each other yet they want each other. Sawyer sexy as all get out office playboy, use to people acknowledging him when he walks in the room, well except Blake, she gave him as good as he got with a side of attitude and sassiness. Blake is smart, feisty, currently in a dry spell (if you know what I mean), wants to break said dry spell while on the company annual vacation and ending up in the playboy’s room wasn’t on her agenda but fate may have played a hand in it. Blake goes in thinking it is someone else and comes face to face with none other than the man himself. Well let’s say this is when it gets really interesting Blake thinks it is all a game to Sawyer and it is anything but a game. The chemistry is instant and intense, the magnetic pull can’t be ignored. The hatred that flows between these two is the beginning to the fun they have in the bed, up against the wall, on the desk, and other unmentionable places. When the vacation ends will she continue to fight him and her feelings for him, will he continue to be jerk who cock blocks her of course with a good cause (keeping her to himself) 😊 and can they let bygones be bygones to find happiness?

4.5 Stars!

POV: Heroine (1st Person)
Tropes: Enemies-to-lovers
Triggers: Descriptions of the foster system

Likes: Their enemies-to-lovers banter was hilarious,...plus super hot. And the passion between the two of them was scorching! They both really know what they wanted and how to get it!

Dislikes: I wasn't a fan of the ambiguity around whether Sawyer slept with any other woman during the course of their interactions. It never really says, but kind of hints it.

Synopsis: Room 452 follows Blake as she tries to end her current dry spell on the annual company vacation, however her playboy office rival, Sawyer, seems determined to c*ckblock her at every chance he gets! Her luck doesn’t get off to the best start when she accidentally ends up in his room, thinking it’s someone else’s…not that Sawyer seems to mind… Oh no, for him the fun is about to begin! I loved reading their journey from enemies-to-lovers to friends with benefits to more? And my my it is one steamy journey!

Steamy workplace Enemies to lovers

Don’t you love those stories where the Hh are 🔥and attracted to each other, yet they despise each other. Ahh it’s heady stuff Enemies to Lovers.

Blake (h) and Sawyer(H) attend a team building weekend. Things get a little messy and our h mistakenly finds herself in our H’s room. Blake thinks she is going to slink off into the night and avoid Sawyer forever, but a project in her Father’s Company forces them together. Can I say at this point I want to work for their Company- those perks are amazing 🤩

What starts out as loathing between Hh, quickly ends up with the delicious push and pull between each other. Who will give into their desires?
I love a well written sexually confident character and these two are 🌶🔥. The banter between them is hilarious. Of course as in all well written characters we learn there is more to them than meets the eye.

I spent most of the book with a huge smile on my dial, at the end of the day that’s a job well done when the author can make the reader feel this way.

OMG...I just finished reading this. Holy shit this was HOT!!. I'm at an absolute loss as to what to start with.

I was in a total book funk. But this baby just pulled me right out!!. This was amazing. I am going in for another read.

Sawyer and Blake work for the same company. They do not like each other..... So we think. The banter and the sexual tension between these two was off the charts!!

Sawyer...Ugh this man has a dirty mouth. The man is guarded. But I loved him. He basically cock blocks her every time she is interested in a man until.. he is the only man she is thinking of.

Blake was one sassy and stubborn lady. Loved her. She also made sure sawyer knew it was just sex and nothing more. But Sawyer. This mas is possessive as fuck..

They are both afraid of their feelings for each other but man these two together were explosive. The scenes were HOT!!.

This was a first read for me by this author and it was amazing. Loved it!

This book was an extremely steamy read, but almost the entire book was all about sex. I wish there had been more of a plot. There was a lot of bantering back and forth between characters and it could get pretty mean at times. I started to get pretty annoyed at Blake for her behavior and all her games even after Sawyer asked her to quit with the games she continued anyway. I kept wondering why Sawyer stuck around for so long being treated like crap! In the real world I'm pretty sure he would have been long gone and not continued to chase her after she kept trying to get with other guys.
Even with my annoyance with the characters lack of substance (I wish the author had gotten more into the background stories of the characters and had more character conversations surrounding the serious topics) Overall it was still a pretty good read. I read it quick because I didn't want to put it down and I don't regret reading it.

3.5 ⭐️ for this one.

It's a fast read with no deeper or complicated plot to the point where I said to myself: "wow, this company they work at is really over the top, do they even actually *work* there?". Who wouldn't want to have company getaways/vacation/trips every weekend? Sign me up!

The story itself is very... surface level if you can call it like that. No backstory, no details, side characters almost non-existent. And main characters aren't much better, honestly.

Language and the way it's written is definitely not for me. I got bothered and annoyed sometimes because of how it was put into words. Punctuation was really poor in my opinion and the sentences were confusing because of that. I had to reread some multiple times to get the point. Proof reading wasn't the best.

In general, it was a nice read you don't have to think too much about. At this point I'm not sure if I will read any other books from this author.

Attraction pitted against animosity at its finest, that is how I can best describe this book. Enemies to lovers doesn't seem to fully explain the level of emotions that roll through these pages. The hatred that runs between Blake and Sawyer sets the stage for some fun between the sheets, or against the walls, desks and other various places so it seems. This book is filled with steamy details of attraction and the right circumstances of giving in. Blake may hold a grudge against Sawyer for something he did at a time she was more vulnerable but Sawyer has his own secrets and reasons for putting on a show.
This is not a super long novel by any means so the level of detail and character development put into these pages is outstanding. I love the work that T.L. Quinn does with their words as each and every sentence has meaning, there is nothing fluffy added for the sake of word count here.

Hot and sassy

I loved this book! There were so much sassy banter between Sawyer and Blake, and the steamy scenes were really steamy!

Blake is a powerful, independent woman with no issues to give as good as she can take. Sawyer is a misunderstood Playboy with no filter, which is even more fun in their banter, and even though the entire book (except a few pages in the end) is written from Blakes perspective, you get a good understanding of who Sawyer is and see him grow into a compassionate, but confused guy. They both struggle with issues from a bad past, and its amazing to see if they overcome them or not.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars brcause this was such an entertaining and hot book. I can recommend this to anyone +18 in the mood for a story with enemies to lover with a lot of sass, banter and steamy scenes.

Blake and Sawyer's story as enemies to lovers.

This book takes you their journey of chemistry that's off the charts and you can feel it sizzling as you turn each page.

What was even better was the banter between them that at times had me in tears laughing.

I loved Blake and Sawyer together.  She didn't swoon at his every word and while he tried to play it like no big deal, he was protective and possessive of her.  Not giving her any opportunity to hook up with anyone else.  Any moment she thought she'd have to find someone, he was right there blocking her efforts.

I loved the moments, his vulnerability shined through and when they finally came together how you know even though its a new concept for them both, they will work!
