Tribes #5

Consumed

Rate this book
If the predators learn her secret, she’ll be no one’s mate. She’ll be just prey.

Tash

I sleep, hunt, and fight. Until Imani. A smart, kind female with a body made for breeding.
I keep her out of the Games, she takes care of my house. And tempts me until I no longer care if she’s a goddess or not.

Big mistake. Huge. For the goddess Bera requires the ultimate sacrifice. My life.

Imani

From the moment I was captured, I’ve been walking a tightrope. What the Ra can’t breed or worship, they eat. I can’t have young. And if Tash suspects there’s a goddess lurking inside me, I’ll be really screwed.

Turns out, I'm screwed.

In this fast-paced, sci fi fantasy romance, a sweet-and-rough alien hero battles his feelings for the most worshiped female of his lands, a sweet, sassy, inspirited 40+ heroine. Consumed leads into the final book of the series. Welcome to the Ra tribe.

I loved that Imani was older. I would've loved an ending where, as Tash told her, he'd be happy with her, with or without a baby, but that wouldn't have rhymed with the book.

I loved that she was black. I loved that she had the stereotypical Goddess of fertility body. I loved her tattoo.

This was the first book, in my current spree through this series, where I was disappointed that there isn't an epilogue as I wanted to see more of Imani/Bera+Tash, but hopefully by the end of the final book, we have an extended epilogue for everyone.

The overarching plot is soon to meet its conclusion and I can’t wait. Much like the previous couple books, this one also leans more on the fantastical elements rather than sci-fi. What was, at the very beginning, the typical alien sci-fi romance, has turned into a fantasy series. And I’m fine with it -more than that actually, I like it a lot. This book features winds that carry laughter, tattoos that speak and an eye that's popped out of its socket (and then popped back in -consider this a content warning). What's not to love ?

“Human footsteps pad over the wooden floors and toward the back of the house, disrupting my high-level intellectualizing on my itchy balls.”

The best thing is always the humor and the bickering of the big guys as well as the misunderstandings and interpretations of small normal things.
Cutbacks I have to make because the really great and complex world was a bit much and demanding to always easily and fluidly understand who what and what it's all about. It's like a hint or echo from the last series, not wrong but a bit too much and demanding. I like it a little simpler, straightforward and entertaining. The idea of goddesses making themselves comfortable in women to have fun and live again, interesting but the name variety and meanings ... tempted me to jump or quickly read on without reading.
But did not harm in any way the story and my fun and very good entertainment. So definitely a recommended read if you are able to follow the path or red thread and take / read what you like and want to have.

Right from the beginning, 1st line, 1st chapter…funny af. These Predator Alpha’s are such guys, and it never fails to crack me up. Whether they are talking/preening about their fitness, talking shit on other predators, or gossiping like a bunch of teenage girls, they crack me up. I just can’t get enough of them. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, if Milana Jacks wrote about trash bags…I WOULD READ THE BOOK, because we all know it’s gonna be lmao funny.

This is Tash’s book, and you guessed it, he got himself a goddess on his hands, even when he didn’t want one. He also has games going on, crazy family shenanigans, and is extra af, I love that he always refers to Mas as blondie.

Safe read, with a predator alpha that is going to keep his goddess. Oh, and these two are hot af, like dayum. We also get to see the other goddesses, yup, good times. Love Tash’s sister and his crazy ass brother too. HEA.

I actually quite liked this one. Tash was hilarious and I enjoyed his commentary throughout the book. Unlike the other heroes of the other books he actually wasn't outrageous ALL the time to the point of eye rolling because it was ridiculous and over the top. I genuinely enjoyed his personality. Same sorta goes for Imani. She was a strong type of heroine and her being the goddess Bera made sense. I think her and Tash made a good match.

Even though I've not enjoyed this series as much as I hoped I am looking forward to wrapping it up with Arks book finally.

This series is so fascinating and this latest book doesn't disappoint. Aliens with a beast they can shift to, their hunter, are predators. Only other classification is prey. Humans smell like prey but the heroines in these books become infused with a goddess. One of many that are worshipped by the locals. And so shenanigans begin.

The Ra tribe finally gets some representation! I'm loving the way the story arc is continued in this series! Imani and Tash trade quips and share a lot of the same thoughts about relationships. But I thought Ark was a little bad for constantly going around his brother's girl. Then this goddess story developed more fully, and I got it, lol. I'm looking forward to Ark's story!

Voluptuous woman

I love that the main female character is a full figured woman over 40. I appreciate that the author has her Characters really bad ass. The predators are described really well and I like how vicious they are and how they have no issues with blood or killing. Which is how a real predator would be.

A compelling read, once started it holds you riveted till the end

I enjoyed the read from the off the characters and the plot had been well thought of and the interaction between the Predator Alpha’s are fairly impossible to imagine, however it would seem that to attain that level of physical strength and speed would be the need to both eat and dring as much as possible as often as possible.

Tash who is the main character in this book was an interesting character, innovative and forward thinking he has got a goddess on his hands, this is not actually something he wanted so I do not think he actually needs Mas; however he deals with things as well as he is able.

An enjoyable read from start to finish and this Alpha Predator is something that we had to read Mas is quite something, I assure you that you will love this story as much as the previous books.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

What a pity there are only five starts to tick. I'd give Milana Jacks 100 stars if I could. Might take a while, but worth every one. Tash was the most lovable and hilarious alien I have met to date. Imani - Goddess Bera - what a lovely surprise. Tash recognized her from the start, but Imani fought against it all the way through until there was no doubt.
The story is typical Milana Jacks - enjoyable, enchanting, out of this world (literally) and full of giggles and total enjoyment.
Now I hang out for the next masterpiece from this wonderful storyteller.

Fanfreakingtastic! This is a Voluntary Advanced Reader Copy review of ‘Consumed’. I loved that this story picked right up where the previous story ended or paused. I enjoyed his Alphaholeness, it made me laugh. I enjoyed her quiet calm demeanor, lol, yet regal. I enjoyed her coming into her Godess. That was fun. Read the book if you want to know what else happens! Insert smirk! OMG! I loved read this storyline!! Keep them coming!!

Tash and Imani were fire

I absolutely love every book in this series. We get a deeper look into the RA tribe after most of the humans have been "given away" during the games. Imani is older, curvy, and doesnt want to be part of the games. Tash is of course arrogant, alpha, and has all the brash and swagger inheriant to these predators. He also doesnt want a human. These two coming together was soo good. And soo funny. One click this series.

So Good!

This book is about Tash and Imani and while reading, I’m either fanning myself because of their oh so hot chemistry or laughing out loud at Tash’s comments throughout this wonderful read.

I also love these series. I love that women are goddesses and hold all the power. I also love every single one of these characters and highly recommend you read every single book in this series.

Can’t wait for ARK’s story next!

great read

When I first started reading this series I was a little lost but I enjoyed reading the books. Imani(Bera) thought she was too old. She stayed under Tash so that hopefully she wouldn’t become prey. Tash and Imani were awesome together. I can’t wait to read Ark’s story. I have a feeling Lena will make an appearance at Mae. Great read.

Oh so good

Oh man, this was so so good. Tash and Imani are so HOT together. I love that while each book is a stand alone the characters are still present. It adds so much to each couple. I'm loving this world so much. This book was filled with power of the goddess and family drama. more of each ones power is felt and history explained.

I really like series

I wish that there was one more with a plain human not goddess. Also these few females in the ship were not enough for planet. Were they going to go raid earth or divert anther luxury shuttle? And what about Michelle’s brother in security? Lots of questions left unanswered.

A Love Made By War

My favorite characters were Tash and his crazy brother, maybe Lena also. It was amazing how Bera brought back babies again. Though I thought it would have been a girl. The action was awesome and the fight scenes were epic. The sex scenes were funny and exciting to read. There was a lot of humor also. Can’t wait to read the next book.

This had me in stitches from the start. It's quirky, full of banter and an undeniable chemistry between Tash and Imani
I think this is the best story so far out of the whole Tribes Book series.

I read this book as an ARC member

I L.O.V.E. these predators!

New Planet New Identity

Who doesn’t want to be worshipped as a Goddess? I like the predators have human emotions although they eat anything. Thanks for having a lead female character I could identify with in age and race.

Can't take it anymore.

I got as far as page 21. I can't read this series anymore. The guys are just so mean, hateful, vulgar, disrespectful, derogatory... The Ka tribe books were less demeaning. The male characters felt more...understanding.

Fast paced, entertaining dialogues and an Alpha who wasn't as obnoxious as the others. I would have liked one plot where the heroine wouldn't get pregnant, but alas it wasn't the case. Looking forward to Ark and would love a book about Kore.
