Is this the final book ?

A surprise book. I thought #4 was the last. Another surprise ending. These books are not your typical post-apocalyptic reads, but they are great reads. But, now I wonder, does Alecia return? Does Colby go back into law enforcement? Does Jessie find true love? Great character & story development. Thanks, Jack Hunt for another fine read

I hope at some point we see a book 6. Somehow I would like to see a reunion between Alicia and Colby, especially after all they have been through together.

This book (final in the series?), wraps up a lot of the storyline from the prior volumes. I enjoyed the plot involving Colby and Alicia, which had a satisfying confrontation and a hint of the cause of the EMP. Still, more Kane please! I find the family feud of Humboldt County a bit tiresome but it was handled fairly well in this book. The ending seemed equally overdramatic, not unexpected and somehow not as satisfying as I would have thought. Still this was a good series.
