—Breaking! General Lucas of the Empire has dispatched his men, reportedly to find his date from the hotel last night!
The reporter excitedly asked a question: What would you do once you find them?
Lucas’ eyes glinted coldly: Kill them.
The crowd: ???
Why does he rather be different from everyone else…

Gong’s perspective →
There’s nothing the short tempered General Lucas looks down on more than those whiny and annoying omegas in his whole life.
A significant other? Will never happen in this lifetime.
However if he is forced to elaborate… He much prefers the gentle and honest beta secretary, skilled in both combat and the academics, who can brew coffee and match clothes for him.

Shou’s perspective →
Luo Ran is Lucas’ secretary, and what he does is the most inhumane job of the entire empire.
He has to wait on the nit-pickiest superior who sits above him, and below him he has to deal with the entire empire who dare not interact with the general, the general’s subordinates, coworkers, admirers… etc.
Not only that, he also has to carefully hide the fact that he’s an omega, as well as his identity as the general’s “one night stand”… constantly facing the imminent threat of getting killed at any moment.
Until one day, he accidentally went into heat in front of Lucas, the sweet and lovely pheromone an exact match with the pheromone of the person from that night.
It’s over, he’s about to be killed now.
“How brave of you.” Lucas held the back of Luo Ran’s head, the other arm looped around his waist as he smiled, “Now… I’m going to kill you.”
3,75🌟 i really enjoyed reading this it's perfect if you're in the mood for something that's entertaining but not really angsty (but don't expect to read something life changing lol) and i really needed it to recover from all the angst i was reading😪
the mcs were the best i loved seeing them together and all the fluff towards the end🥹 lou ran was definitely my favorite i love a nonchalant and professional mc and seeing him slowly falling in love with lucas was the cutest
i definitely thought most of the big reveals would happen earlier but they did take a while icl but paired with the plot i didn't really mind
the story is mainly about the aftermath of what happened after lucas was drugged and slept with a mystery person (aka lou ran) who he spends most of the novel looking for and assigned lou ran to look for😭😭 only knowing that he was with an omega and it could never be his beta secretary who coincidentally took the next day off😶🌫️
i loved reading this novel so entertaining and was honestly exactly what i expected but i really liked it nonetheless🤞
This was a decent read. There's enough plot although it gets overshadowed by romance - like, plot would take a far backseat as the main characters progressed their romance... Resulting in this weird feeling of the plot lacking urgency/significance. I'd say it felt like... 35-65 split between plot and romance.
But it also resulted in this weird pacing where I started losing interest whenever the story sidetracked to romance and leaving the plot aside. Maybe because the romance didn't offer anything new in terms of couple dynamics, but to me it felt like I had to force myself to read through it just to get back to the plot.
The romance was uncomfortable at the beginning, since there's that power dynamic of employer-employee... and the ML had the emotional maturity of a child. It improved not long after, so thank goodness for that.
The one thing I disliked was the netizens. These random strangers were so invested in the MC's love life and kept clamoring about the MC having children... It was an uncomfortable feeling of privacy being violated. And whenever MC and ML were doing something and someone from the military posted about "Admiral and Secretary were doing this today." It's like... There's privacy breach, confidentiality breach... It's hard to believe a military body would do this. If it's a novel set in an idol setting, it would had been more 'normal', but this is a military setting... But if you suspend your disbelief enough to accept this, then the novel is ok.
This novel was hilarious. I really enjoyed it. Like another reviewer, it kinda got me out of a reading rut. The translation (though spread across multiple translators) was really amazing. I even enjoyed one of the translator notes .
The characters and plot made me laugh as well as cry at times. I also felt that it was amazing because the plot circumvented some known characteristics . While you may feel that you have guessed the plot, it can unfold further in ways you didn't expect.
I like the dynamics between MC and ML, and while there were some forewarnings of certain plot points, some other plot points were just thrown out of nowhere. Naturally, both MC and ML were amazingly OP with few negative traits. While it can get draggy/ repetitive at times (with all the avoidance), it gets really good in the 2nd half, in my opinion.
Overall, it's a pretty good read, 2/5 chance of re-reading.
The story has a lot of problems, but I have to admit that I enjoyed it. It helped me out of a reading slump. It was fun and angst free.
The plot intrigued me at the beginning, but halfway through it I started to feel bore because things kept happening without proper explanations. Luckily, I persisted. Everything was explained at the end, and all those details made the story better.
I only recommend this one of you are a fan of the Intergalactic Omegaverse genre. It's not the best out there, tho.
My favorite part was the MC, a truly strong Omega that always got the upper hand, and never played the damsel in distress card. And his Alpha respected him and trusted his strength. They were a fitting couple ❤️. It made me feel uncomfortable how much attention they got, everyone shiped them (and okay at first it was hilarious 😂 but then it got creepy, and every interaction was photographed and share on the net...).
Oh, what a wonderful love! The entire Empire ships their love, but the two protagonists in question had no idea lol.
Normally, I would get bored if a book includes too many netizen comments, but the Empire's netizens were great! Their ability to create sugar for their CP was so realistic and logical that even Luo Ran, a silent melon eater to his own CP, was almost brainwashed into believing it. Plus, I still can't get over the super tropey and overdramatic fanfics! They were so bad that they were good lmao.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. Luo Ran and Lucas had the best, equal partnership even before they got together. There was so much trust and care for each other that it just made the misunderstandings between each other even more funny lol.
MC is actually a powerful omega but had to pretend to be a beta to get a job since his family encountered trouble when he was young and had to keep up the appearance until the present. He was bullied as a child because of his unique image but ML managed to take revenge for him. I just find it stupid how long it took the ML to find out that the MC was his one night stand and how he never figured out that MC was an omega because he kept associating his pheromone to his incense. Loved it tho

honestly this is a novel to read just for shits and giggles. is it the best novel out there? no. is it entertaining? yes. i found it to be pretty funny and cute at times i just didn’t end up finish the last twenty or so chapters cause they already got together.
It was really entertaining! I loved the mc, he was super smart. It definitely isn't very big brained, so it's a relaxing read. Not the best I've read but maybe the second best omegaverse I've encountered.
