My stories are full of lies and deaths, but there is always justice. A type of justice that's not afraid to get its hands dirty. I write morally ambiguous characters who are pushed to their limits and take matters into their own hands. In my world getting away with murder has never been so much fun!

No matter what I write every one of my characters are real to me. They exist. They are three-dimensional beings who demand that their stories be told. If I were to turn away from them, they would haunt me; and so I don't. Instead I chase after them and write down everything they say!

5 When You Say Party, You Mean Kill Festival Stars

Rogues is the fifth book in The Immortal Doc Holliday series by M. M. Crumley.

The was an absolutely satisfying ending, I mean before the crazy lady came around and ruined the good vibes. All the convoluted schemes John Holliday had to contrive to maneuver Mitcham into the perfect position, and overtake his world domination plans.

I wonder what other secrets are hidden in the late tetrarch's schemes and holdings? Doc was not able to ferret out the complexities of his machinations. I imagine it won't go over entirely smoothly as him and his people work to remove the taint left behind. There's bound to be at least one of his underlings that strikes back.... Perhaps this mysterious Alex? I wonder if Mitcham was in cahoots with the painter Gianto? The one who trapped rape victims in paintings? I think it sound likes a truly devious spy network..

I am fully concerned over this Meli, the Black Shaman... How can Doc face someone who has tapped into the magic that makes him so powerful and immortal? She is truly creepy.. She also seems to be gaining her strength, and through it more power over him.. Which only makes the task Ahanu put before him more daunting; how does he release the devil from her prison without sacrificing himself in the process? Will his path lead in the right direction, the one where Andrew and the Grey Shaman defeat her? Or will he somehow throw this path in time out of alignment, and ruin their chances?

Irony and Doc at his best!

This one was great. Heck, they're all wonderfully written, very creatively entertaining, fantastical stories! The series is one I'm glad I am binge-reading after a good number of installments have already been published.

Doc and Thomas Jury are the absolute best partners in crime, as the the knife-slinger (?!? THIS version of the infamous Doc Holliday doesn't shoot his way out of right spots with a gun, and the knives are sexy) and his equally sexy side kick witch literally wipe the floors, roads, ground, with the carcasses of their enemies. You should read this series. This writer has a gift. Truly.

Five stars are the least I can possibly award such a marvelously enthralling continuation of Doc's saga!

Doc and Jury are wanted men again, due to a side trip through time they have been missing for months and Tetrarch Mitcham is not happy. He wants Doc to be his personal assassin.
Seeing no immediate way out, Doc agrees and sets about to get rid of Mitcham.
There is a lot of sneaking around, working behind scenes and being tricky while making a plan that won’t get everyone killed. There is also a lot of the background history of Doc. Sometimes that’s a bit annoying.
Overall, this book has a bit of mystery, suspense, surprises, action, and humour.
Each book gives more of Doc’s background and makes sure I want to read the Andrew books.
This was an enjoyable, fun read.
Definitely worth recommending and reading more of the series.

People who say, you can trust politicians, have them read this book. It goes to show, be careful who you are in debt to, or owe favors. Though, the way he killed Mitchiam, was perfect for all powerful, tryant. If it could've lasted longer, it would've been just for what he did to his people. Doc, has more troubles now to deal with. Looking forward to seeing how he handles this hand he's been dealt.

Incredible read!

I am so glad I found these stories. I don't remember a story line that made me laugh out loud so much. there is alot of killing, blood and gore but is written in such a way that I didn't seem to think about it. Please read this series! Great story, great characters and such a great read

For Thaddeus

This was my favorite in the series so far. It was action filled and more serious than the previous book. I like that this series is full of fun, mischief and mayhem. I hope Doc's luck holds going forward.

Best Plot Yet

This book had almost all of my favorite characters, some really great dialogue, and even Tarantino would have approved of the gore. Doc is my new favorite anti-hero.
