Bah. This should have been two books. Everything that happened in this book should have happened during book one or two. If we had any insight or growth from Brock, maybe it would have warranted three books but this was all Josie POV and it hurt because Brock seemed more like an ineffective growler and we are subjected to the same inner thoughts over and over from Josie. Nothing Brock puts into place ever came to fruition as far as I could tell, except maybe the one time he set Carter up to find what he was looking for but even then, Josie ends up accidentally getting held at gunpoint. He kept making eye contact with his Elite cohorts as though they had big plans in place and then.... a big fat nothing ever happens burger. They called her "one of them" and yet, they never shared any of the big things going on or any of their plans, whatever they actually were - we never find out, but then again, neither does Josie.

The revenge they get on Carter isn't even real revenge, it has no lasting repercussions, nor does it stop him from continuing with his life and his evil ways. Except playing on his fears and some physical damage, the Male Elites never do anything to Carter that brings him closer to actual justice. Josie and Kenna go out for their own revenge and do it in style. This is also what drives him to drastic, OTT behavior that finally gets him arrested. Nothing the Elites did took him down.

The whole thing with Josie's' dad doing what he does without ever talking to her was probably the saddest thing in the book and she doesn't even really realize it. He was already dismissing her as family and no longer put her first at all. Although, the way Josie totally leaves Annalise out of her life and struggles was a close second.

Bottom line. This is was an average book with some unique moments but most of it was so ridiculous it was hard to stay in the story. Cars don't just get blown up and life goes on. A lot of alphabet agencies get involved. Not to mention, teenagers without very specific skills don't know how to blow up cars, set explosives so intricately triggered to a car alarm in a matter of minutes, or how to get their hands on explosives without leaving a lot of evidence behind and being very easily caught during post investigation.

The end was super rushed considering she had 3 books to get us to where we ended up. A lot of the ending felt loose, though.

I recently finished reading "Revenge" by J L Weil and unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Although the book provided closure to the series and was a quick read, the lack of character development was a major downside. The characters seemed to remain static and unchanged throughout the story, which made it difficult for me to fully invest in their journeys. Additionally, the relationships portrayed in the book didn't feel authentic and left me questioning their believability.

The plot itself follows the story of a group of teenagers seeking revenge on those who have wronged them in the past. While this premise has potential for an exciting and suspenseful storyline, I found that the execution was lacking. The pacing felt rushed, and the plot twists didn't have the impact that I was hoping for.

In conclusion, while "Revenge" may appeal to readers who are looking for a quick and easy read, I personally did not find it satisfying due to the lack of character development and underwhelming plot execution. I gave the book a 2-star rating.

I’m not gonna lie, this was a page-turner, however it just wasn’t it for me. How can a mc be so damn dumb??? Illogical??? It felt like watching an horror movie with a white chick who just make the worst decisions ever. Usually, I am okay with letting it slide but in this book? It was too much. Do not recommend if you have anger issues or common sense. Oh and this book is in desperate need of a dual POV. Like really.

What fantastic end to this trilogy. I was sick this weekend but it was the perfect read to take my mind off my misery.

Josie, poor JJ. The shit this poor girl has had to go through, this book gives her a good smacking around to.

I loved the ending. I love her relationship with the Elite and Brock, frig I love Brock.

The epilogue gave me closure and thats all I could ask for.

Amazing ending

Holy F! What a way to finish this series. I started reading this the second if hit my Kindle. Worth it. This series was spectacular and I am so excited with the ending. I was worried halfway through that this was going to end up being 4 books but nope it ended and I am happy. I honestly want a spinoff now of the other characters.

So, so many issues. So many. I could rant for days. But did I read all three books back to back to back? Yes. Yes I did. But it was not good. The plot holes alone. CW for rape, being constantly harassed by the rapist.

Again I LOVED this but please please do your editing as some of them are ridiculous what have been missed such as couch instead of coach

The ending of brock and Josies story was amazing and I love that the series is continuing into college I love the dynamic between Micha and Mads and the turnaround from Kenna.

I am hopeful we will see more of Fynn and greyson but brock will definitely have my heart

Rushed and Filled with Errors

So, there were even more grammatical errors in this one as compared to the others and as I got to the end, they increased even more. I felt as though the author was rushing and just wanted to be done with the series.

The revenge against Ava was laughable, and Josie did nothing against the two other girls. Given what they did to her, there should have been a much bigger revenge plot.

She has closure with her “‘mom,” but aside from two meetings with Easton, what happens with that? I get it, she’s 18, and she had this other family, but how do you grow up with someone for nearly 18 years and then just walk away?

The series passed the time, but I can’t say I’d recommend them.

Firstly, this series did not need three books. I ended up skimming through most the second and third books because it was just being dragged out so bad. The evil brother had the 'Elite' beat right up till the very end of the third book and yet the Elite are meant to be feared and powerful. LOL!! I Didn't see no power at all and Josie was just so predictable. She made stupid decisions which resulted in a lot of eye rolling moments. Being in her head for all 3 books for exhausting. Adding in Brocks POV would of given this book extra points because honestly he was more interesting than the Female lead.

Last Instalment in the Drama Packed Life Of Josie James & Her Elite BF Brock

** Spoilers Ahead**
This final book in the Elites of Elmwood Academy series, is filled with drama, drama DRAMA.

Josie James can barely catch her breath before she is barrelling head first into yet another ‘situation’

To be fair, most of the time she’s usually three sheets to the wind, with her love for the old bourbon, putting herself right Front. And. Centre.

Ya, see Josie can’t seem to keep her nose out of ANYTHING!

So, this story takes up where the last book ended.

Josie has just come face to face with her new sister (and one third of the triplets)

Kenna.

Anyone thinking these two long lost siblings would be running into each other’s arms, braiding each other’s hair, will be sorely disappointed. ( at first)

Although we DO eventually get the obligatory trope of the girly bounding moments…Shopping, eating.

There is some SERIOUS envy, and jealousy issues between these two sisters
The cause? …Brock.
So, when Josie isn’t issuing a ‘please explain your behaviour’ look in Brock’s direction.
She’s calling out Kenna to ‘stay away the Hell from her man’

This back and forth, is just one of the stories in this instalment.

It takes a mutual enemy in Carter ( Josie’s ex step brother ) to bring these two siblings together in a girl empowerment moment, as they take humiliation of the bad guy to a whole new level.

Of course Josie’s other side bar drama hasn’t disappeared either, with her having to deal with her new bio, parents, the Edwards’s AND her other mother and father Angie and Easton.

But it’s Carter that’s the big bad guy in this story, the guy that, thank to his ex football player father has managed to avoid being convicted of rape (amongst other things).
That has Josie looking over her shoulder throughout the story wandering when he’s going to strike.
Plus!
We also have ‘ the tagger’ a graffitiing ‘ Gossip Girl’ of sorts, who has been exposing everyone in the schools secrets.

As things draw to a conclusion, The triplets ( Greyson, Kenna and Josie ) lives are in danger.
Can the other Elites (Brock, Flynn, Micah) save the day or, will the vengeful Carter’s plan come to murderous fruition.

These girls who start off on the wrong side of the tracks, but with a bit of sass and attitude, attract the attention of the gang of rich boys are a common bully romance trope.

Just like Brock and ‘The Elites’, with their bottomless pockets, are able to come to the rescue, pulling off miraculous saves in any situation, with planning and military procession that would put the army to shame.

This story had some bite to it (plot wise) at times , it just got a little irritating, with Brock and Josie’s relationship.

Yes, yes, we get it they can’t go a day without talking, touching, feeling each other up.

They LOVE each other…

NOW.

Can we just move on with the rest of the story instead of page, after page with these these two constantly have sex.

It’s a rare thing when Brock and Josie are within each other’s obit and they’re not having sex in this book.

They’re banging it out on the regular.

Also. Okay…I get it that Josie was at risk of being attacked throughout most of this story but the tight leash Brock INSISTED keeping her on was making me claustrophobic

When all drama starts to unfold and there is trouble, all the members of the Elite are just magically able to appear and have everything fall into place for them.
Putting everything right again.
It’s laughable.

Speaking of laughable.
How many people do YOU know that are involved in a serious car roll over accident, but STILL have all their faculties about them, ignore medical help, so they can all rock up to the high school on a rescue mission??? …Haha!

As the March into the school we get this from Josie -

“Perhaps, it was better that they were here—the complete Elite.
Flanked by four lethal and hot guys, we entered the school”

Yeah. Let’s take a moment away from the drama to point out …
HOW HOT THE GUYS ARE…whhaatt!

So the story comes to an end with….You guessed it DRAMA
Lots of shouting, accusations, talking peeps off the ledge, only to result in gun play.

(Thank goodness bullets never hit those pesky vital organs…Phew!)

Leading us into the obligatory Graduation Epilogue ( wrap up)
Where the author isn’t finish with just how cosy everyone is with each other.

Even serial man whore Micah gets his girl …Awww

But the most cringe moment has to be part between Brock and Josie, and just what is in that white envelope he hands to her.

Ya see, nothing never goes against the wishes of the main characters in a cutesy HEA finale.
Will the gangs relationships survive a Possible Kingsley & Dupree University spin off ?
Hmmm.. Maybe more drama for bossy boots Josie

Okay, let me just say this upfront: this book? It did not come to play. It came to throw hands, break hearts, and light fires—and I was so here for all of it.

It was a lot. Like, a lot a lot. Everything hit at once, no time to breathe, no chance to look away, but somehow it worked so damn well. I was locked in. Fully obsessed. And let’s talk about the real MVPs here—Josie and Brock. Power couple status achieved. They're dangerous, loyal, sexy, smart—basically the blueprint for how you burn everything down and still look hot doing it.

Off topic, but not...Micah? Whew. My soul said “yes” the second he stepped in on every page. That man’s energy is chaos wrapped in confidence, and I already know he’s gonna deliver. Like, I feel it in my bones. My vibe and his? Aligned. We could cause some real trouble together.

But back to Josie and Brock—because damn. That revenge plot? On another level. And Carter tied to that damn pole on the field? I was cackling. Screaming. Kicking my feet. Unhinged, and proud of it. It was dark, twisted, and exactly what he deserved. Suck on those apples, Carter. Girls RULE!

Angie? Look, my heart tried to go there. For a whole three seconds. Then I snapped out of it and was like, "girl, bye." Zero sympathy left. As for Easton… yeah, I was bummed. No hospital appearance? No moment with the girl who sees him as a father? That left me a little empty. Like, come on—just one scene? But honestly, Brock showed TF up, so I wasn’t too mad about it.

In the end, the revenge, the chaos, the heartbreak, the high-stakes drama—it all slapped. I ate it up. No crumbs left. This Elite crew has their hooks in me, and I’m not even trying to escape. I’m fully locked in.

So yeah. Bring on Micah. I'm ready for the next ride—and maybe a little destruction along the way.

"Great, so it was my corrupt nature that made you fall for me."
"That and your ass," he said with a roguish smirk. "I really love your ass."
I rolled my eyes. "Touché. You have a pretty glorious ass yourself, Taylor."

But she was far too peppy, bouncing around the house at 7:00 a.m. She sang in the shower. Skipped up and down the stairs like a cheerleader on crack. And that was all before I even crawled out of bed for coffee.
My eyes were still half-closed. My hair was a mess. And I still had on my pajamas as I stood in the kitchen with Grayson as the whirlwind known as Kenna tore through. "Has she always been a morning person?" I grumbled, watching the coffee maker brew my grounds.
Grayson grunted. "It´s so fucking annoying."

"You´re going to be at the game tonight, right?" he asked.
Quick. Think up a lie. The problem was, I sucked at lying. But I was good at deflecting. "Are you concerned about my safety?"

"I don´t want to be alone." Her manipulative tone sent a chill into my bones. Could he not hear it?
Clarity darkened his eyes, as he understood why she had come to him.
"That is not going to happen, Kenna. You know that I´m with Josie."
"She doesn´t have to know," she said softly.

Ok so I give this book 4 stars instead of 3 like books 1&2. It was definitely more addictive and had me gasping at certain points.

The same problems I had with books 1&2 still apply—overall it just was very high school-y and sort of an immature writing style, but there were more shocking points in this book.

In a way, I feel like the author did too much to make us hate Kenna, just for everything to kind of be OK. In the end, I was really expecting more of a shocking turn of events with Kenna. I was fully prepared to hate her and the suspense didn’t really follow through with all of the little foreshadowing.
I kind of wished Kenna wasn’t a victim, but was low-key working with Carter the entire time. I would’ve loved to have seen the group turn on her even though I know they’re triplets. I just feel like it would’ve been more entertaining…

I said it in my other review, and I’m gonna say it again… Multiple POV‘s would’ve been great. I’m not just talking about Josie and Brock but the entire group—there were so many points where alternative perspectives could’ve been really interesting. It kind of made the series boring since all 3 books were from Josie’s POV

I feel like the Elite in college could be really interesting… once again from Josie and Brock‘s perspective. I’m not obsessed with the series enough to go and read Micah & Mads’s book

Overall, I would classify this series as high school romance drama. Don’t get me wrong, I fucking loved Josie and Brock’s relationship, but the suspense and plot twists were just not that amazing.

This review is basically for this book and the two proceeding.

Honestly, the only redeeming factor for this series is that it’s a quick read. It was legit like a fast food order gone wrong. Yeah, you’ll eat and mostly enjoy it but it wasn’t great, you’re let down and probably won’t go back for a while or ever.

My biggest issue was the FMC. The jealousy trope was just stupid in these books. Josie was jealous for absolutely no reason and it was used as a main point of the tension in the plot too many times. Girl, that boy literally told and proved to you there was nothing to be jealous of. But she kept being a childish jealous girl. But, she’s 17 so really what do we expect?

The MMC was alright. He was definitely portrayed as a rich popular bad boy, but he didn’t actually make good on his word to protect or follow through with his plans. Wet floppy fish for sure.

Also, I’m well aware that I don’t read these books expecting them to be like reality. But come on, some of the instances that happen are just too outlandish to be believable even in this type of genre. A car explodes in a public parking lot and only the cops are involved and no one is brought in for questioning? The FMCs mom is arrested for kidnapping her daughter and the daughter isn’t contacted by the police afterward? It just comes off as dramatic for no reason.

I’m gonna pass on the rest of the series.

Really think it’s more a 3.5 for me. The writing was great, though needs some editing. Most of the characters were easily likable and I liked the fact that Kenna was real. What she initially did wasn’t right but she owned up to it Nd eventually learned from it. Josie was strong but at times she just has sex on the brain.

What really bothered me was Brock’s character. The whole thing with him pretending to get with Ava was pointless and rather anti-climactic. He kept dragging it on, even though he says he was going to ruin her. Doubt it. He never had a plan in place. And it showed when it was never revealed what he had planned to do anyway.

Another thing, he’s a complete hypocrite. He keeps spouting things like “You’re Elite!”, “You’re one of us!”, “We don’t keep secrets from each other!” And yet, all he ever does was keep Josie in the dark about any plans with Carter or basically about anything. I just can’t with that.

And the Elite? Kinda useless. They keep saying they have blackmail material on a lot of people, including Carter. After all that Carter has done the entire series, they never once used it to keep him in line? How many more injuries and accidents on Josie and Kenna was it going to take for them to use it? Apparently, maybe when they’re both too broken in the end. Or worse yet…dead.

OBSESSED!

I never like writing reviews for a series as a whole because there is just so much to say about what happened to the characters along the way. But this series was one of those that I couldn’t put down long enough to write a review for each book.
Josie is something else. She’s fierce and loyal and doesn’t back down to anyone. I think that’s why her and Brock go so good together. She pushes him in ways that no one has ever dared to do before. In the span of this 3 book series, Josie’s world is knocked over and tipped upside down. I can’t really say much else without giving things away, but it just amazes me how resilient she is. She’s able to overcome everything that was thrown her way.
At first I wasn’t too sure about Brock. He came off as a bit of a jerk, and he is, but not to the people he cares about. He protects Josie the best he can throughout the series, even when she’s too stubborn to accept it.
I can’t quite tell you how much I really enjoyed this series. Not only did it have love and romance but also mystery, suspense and danger. I’m really going to miss Brock and Josie, but that just means that I’ll have to come back to their story sometime in the future ♥️

BRING IT ON!!!

REVENGE is book 3 and the final of Brock and Josie’s story and was a fantastic ending for their journey!

JOSIE – NEW GIRL IN TOWN!!! Josie has a troubled past, a mother who stole her from her real family and a stepbrother who is basically psycho. In previous books we see how strong and brave Josie is having endured a terrible past. Having step foot in Elmwood we see her make companions known as the ‘Elite.’ In book 3, you see the struggle Josie goes through having been independent for years but alas she has someone to lean on finally. LEAN ON YOUR MAN JOSIE!! HE IS THERE FOR YOU!

BROCK – THIS LITTE POPPET ROCKET!! My my this boy has my heart honestly and is one of the most dare I say s*xiest motherf*ckers out there to exist. He has such a BIG heart and it shows he would do anything for the person he loves. Although Brock does come across as a lil cray cray (who doesn’t) – he will protect and be loyal like no other.

Together this couple goes through a lot! However, their love is so pure. In this book you see many twists and turns. How does Kenna come into the story? Will she accept Josie or hate her? What happens to Carter? Will the Elite continue to prevail?

FIND OUT NOW!!!

Still giving it a 4.5 ⭐️but I felt like this one was rushed.

The first two had more character development and they were always together which made the books. We saw less of the guys and way less of Mads. Along with the editor not doing their job in this one it really got to me.

Josie’s story unfolds even more in this one she comes face to face with her sister at the end of the last book and you have to wonder how things will unfold for the girls. I’m not going to lie Kenna was not one of my favorites she really took some time to like! But give her a chance! (I wasn’t happy with where the author took hers and Brock’s story) specifically after reading the back of her story with Flin it didn’t make any sense! She’s supposed to be in love with flin not Brock.

Josie really does start to build a life and not lose who she is which I liked! She held on to the strong humble girl that didn’t take crap! Brock and Josie really come together in this one and have a hea. I wish there was a little more! I know the guys get their story but a time jump would have been fun!

I honestly wish the author wouldn’t have rushed this one as much I felt the first two were so much stronger. This one left me feeling like part of the story was messing.

I've really enjoyed this, it has been a rollercoaster ride with Josie and the Elite boys. I must state this is not an RH, it is a single-coupled romance but the Elite is made up of 4 boys, one of whom is the protagonist's brother.

This is a well-written, well-paced book. Once I started it I didn't want to be interrupted, I needed to find out what was going to happen. Revenge is Book 3 and the final book in the Elite of Elmwood Trilogy and it doesn't disappoint. Revenge starts exactly where Book 2 ended, so it is a complete continuation which as a reader is great. In this book, we get to meet the third triplet Kenna and all the ups and downs that the relationship has. We also see the final showdown with Carter, Josie's parents, and every other loose end that Jennifer Weil has placed within the story.

This is a great read if you enjoy steamy, high school tales with hot men and sassy women and lots of angst and drama.

The sisters Josie and Kenna continue to make progress as sisters. Kenna has a crush on Brock, but when he tells he loves Josie she realizes that she needs to back off. Both Kenna and Josie start to bond but it really takes a daring moment when they separately decide to get revenge on Carter. They meet in the dark and decide to do this revenge together. They then show us how badass they can be when they decide to work together.

Of course this does not stop Carter from getting his form of revenge . Car rides and a car crash and Carter takes Kenna and says he will come back for Josie. Brock shows up first and gets Josie out of the car. He manages to get Grayson, Josie's brother in real time. They then go after Carter and get his confessions about raping Kenna dn how he wants Josie because Brock has her as a girlfriend. Carter is really warped. In any case the police come and get him. Kenna decides she is going to press charges and testify against him.

Lots more to unpack, however I encourage you to read these books.

What a crazy ride! This series had so many twists, I couldn’t put any of the books down! I think I finished this series in like 3 days lol…

Anyways. I loved how everything ended. This is one of my favorite friend groups I have read in a series. They all have each other’s backs no matter what!

I didn’t think I would like Kenna…she seemed so jealous & petty. I didn’t enjoy the drama with Brock & her but it made sense. I was glad that Josie & Kenna became the sisters they wanted to be.

I love Mads! & I cannot wait for her & Michas story! & I also loved what Brock did for Ainsley & was so happy to learn she would be going to college with Mads & Josie!

ps…the nickname firefly? LOVE!!!

THIS BOOK STILL HAD A LOT OF GRAMMATICAL ERRORS & again, whoever the editor was…I don’t know….it was rough.

(NOTE TO SELF: not a series I could reread all the time but it was good & I really enjoyed it!)

I really enjoyed this series and the plot. The friends made family is my ideal book content. The loyalty between the Elite and their girls is everything. There’s the typical high school drama and bullies along with the extreme. And although Brock wasn’t a settling down kind of guy he swooped right in with Josie and made the perfect protective boyfriend who was also very sweet. The story keeps you guessing and adds plenty twists to keep you reading.
However, the editing is not great. There are words / punctuation missing and silly errors like he instead of she. I also felt some descriptions could be more detailed.
I only kept reading because the characters and story was so good otherwise the errors would have made me DNF.

OMG Hell Yes!!
Revenge is where the action is and damn was revenge taken.

This series has been such an amazing, kickass trilogy that has everything.
The drama, the suspense, the twists and the mystery with action and some kindle melting smex will have you hooked till the very end.

Josie and Brock have this seriously hot and explosive chemistry, they are like two sides of the same coin. The push and pull, the protectiveness and the banter is enthralling.
Don’t mess with these two because they would risk it all to protect what’s theirs.

I am seriously keeping my fingers crossed some of the other characters get their own books especially Grayson and Kenna.

I was so ready to see how this was going to end, especially with how the last one ended!.

I like that we see Josie still growing in this one and that fact that she knows it makes her so much more relatable, her and Brock together have been really fun to read about.
I love how in each book we have had more and more of the boys connection but making it even better was there connection to Josie.

I did see a few things coming and would have loved just a little bit more in a few scenes but love how its open and that maybe we could get others stories.

Always enjoy this authors writing, just the kind of series I needed

The Elite of Elmwood Academy series is now complete and I am pretty happy with how everything wrapped up!
This book was so full of drama and angst, there was never a dull moment for Josie and the guys.
The story picks up right where the previous book ended, with Josie finally coming face to face with her sister, Kenna.
With Kenna now back in the picture, the guys are even more stressed about Carter and his threats against Josie and the Elite, and now Kenna too.
This book was seriously non-stop from beginning to end, which made it impossible for me to want to put down!
I do kinda wish there was a little more revenge on Ava and her friends because they got off way too easily (in my opinion). Also, I don’t think we ever did find out what was really on the flash drive that Carter stole, or what else the guys were hiding that Carter didn’t get his hands on, but overall I loved the storyline and I truly can’t get enough of these characters!
I’m really hoping we see more from them in a spin-off series soon!

I'm still not sure if I enjoyed the characters or the plot best in this series. Books 1-3 focus on Brock and Josie's story with plenty of interest and action in/from the secondary characters.

In my opinion, it's also not "bully" so much as just darker with some of the themes explored. I like bully romances but it was kind of nice finding one that wasn't in the mainstream sense that you see with the new adult "darker" romances. I mean sure the "Elite" in this case is certainly alpha so you'll get plenty of that vibe.

So, yeah definitely enjoyable.
