Cover to cover in the passenger seat on a road trip. Didn't put it down. Perhaps it's because we're almost the same age but holy shit do I relate to all of this. Wish there were an infinite number of Dan's stories to read or listen to. Reminds me of the way David Sedaris holds my attention. Keep it up Dan. Stoked to read the new book.
Just like reading a curated collection of Ozzi's substack, but in a zine(ish). As always, Ozzi's voice is both engaging and familiar. These essays, are personal not in the confessional way, but in the way that we have all felt something similar and didn't know if anyone else had. We all attached at least part of our identity at some point to a band, to a job, to city, sometimes to outgrow it, sometimes to help us grow, and sometimes to look back and cringe a bit.
