The story of how it all began...

Dorric Themear has experienced the giddy flutterings of new love before. But not like this. Behind the sapphire eyes of Lady Emelyee Amastacia lies a long-awaited destiny that neither of them can sense or stop.

However, forces darker than Emelyee's husband are prepared to stand in their way.

Ridel, one of Lucien's most trusted servants, is less than enthused about her assignment to watch the lovers. If only her master had been visionary enough to see that a child cannot result if the parents are dead. She'll do her best to comply with his orders to watch and to wait--at least for now.

High in the Frostmaw Mountains, Yvayne has seen the signs of a turning of the age before. Perhaps this time, with the proper intervention, she and the druids can make a play for Azuria after all.

Could it possibly be true that Dorric, an Elven diplomat is feeling love like his body has felt before? Lady Emelyee is the one that stole Dorric’s heart. What shall this couple do in order to be together and will anyone stand in their way. Luckily Lucien has a true and faithful servant that spy on these two by any means necessary. Will Dorric and Lady Emelyee make it in the Age of Azuria? Continue reading the series to answer all your questions.

Prequel to Buried Heroes

Not a bad prequel to Buried Heroes. It's about the main character's parents. Great introduction to the story and the Age of Azuria. I look forward to reading the main work soon.

This was a nice glimpse into the story of Iellieth's parents. It does very little to explain the overall plot of the Azuria novels, but it was a nice quick story to read.

Coming from someone who is brand new to the world of Azuria, I will say this: Beth Ball has a crazy good imagination. The storyline flowed beautifully, however I would have loved more backstory. But maybe that’s the point; to not know everything so you’re led to read about the rest of the universe.
