Song of Parting is a hauntingly beautiful prequel that stitches together the heart of the Age of Azuria series with extraordinary care and tenderness. 💫
This novella is an absolute must-read either before or immediately after Buried Heroes — it enriches the entire Azurian tapestry by offering a deeper, richer understanding of the bonds between key characters.
Beth Ball’s writing is lyrical and poignant, layering hope, heartbreak, love, and fate into every page. The pacing is gentler than the main series entries, but the emotional payoff is massive. Watching Katarina Starsend trace lost love stories across worlds, while Teodric and Iellieth's fragile threads of fate are pulled taut, is utterly gripping.
If you crave fantasy that feels like ancient legends whispered on the wind, you’ll adore this. It's short but devastatingly powerful — prepare for a few heart tugs! 💔✨
