This series is more than just a mystery book, it is magical, about family, and of course murder with Hayden and friends working to solve the mystery.

This series continues to capture my attention as I get to know Hayden and her family a bit more, plus the magical world of Destiny Falls. I have so many questions, and this book answers some of them but not all....because there has to be something left for future books, right? I love all of the characters and some of them are quirky and unique and I love that because it makes the series so much more interesting. We are introduced to a new character, Gaspar, a friendly ghost, that has quite a tale to spin for Hayden. There is more to him than meets the eye and we learn more about him by accident and then his stories make a lot more sense. Actually, you could say it is a plot within a plot and adds dimension to the book.

I think one of my favorite characters is the whimsical Cleobella. She is a woman of few words, but her outfits and character bring joy to the book. There is more to her than meets the eye and even though she can't speak, she has a big impact on Hayden and even the cats....all of them! I like that Hayden seeks to learn sign language to be able to communicate with her more often.

Hayden is continuing to get to know her family better and was recently put in charge of the town newspaper. That is quite an undertaking but she has the skills to handle it all on her own. I like that she respects the police and isn't out to sensationalize everything and only reports what they ask her to report.

Of course, you have to have a little bit of romance, and Hayden and Han are kicking things off once this mystery is solved. This of course motivates both of them to figure out what happened so they can go on that first date. I won't tell you how it goes or what happens because there are some things that leave you hanging and impatiently waiting for the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed the first two books but this one really took it up a notch so I have higher expectations for the next book!

We give this book 5 paws up.

Hayden Caldwell and her beautiful feline sidekick, Latifa, are back with more adventures from Destiny Falls. Hayden is focused on finding out the truth behind her mother abandoning her when she was an infant. As she searches for the truth, she stumbles upon a dead body. Her focus switches to finding a killer. Especially since she is one of the prime suspects.

Then, Hayden meets an older man who has many mysterious stories to tell her. She wonders if his stories are true and if they have anything to do with her family.

This mystical, paranormal, cozy mystery has so many things going for it. Magic, mystery, and so many unsolved stories. For Hayden, the biggest question involves her mother. She’s determined to discover the true story behind her disappearance. At the same time, she continues to learn more about Destiny Falls and her new-found family.

This story is more than just a fairy tale. It’s a fairy tale mixed with emotions, drama and family. I can’t get enough of this story. This is the third book in the Destiny Falls Mystery & Magic series. I do have to stress that it’s important to read this series from the beginning. Although the murder mystery is solved in this book, the entire story of Hayden’s plight begins with book #1. The best way to appreciate this is to read it from the start.

I really adore the way Hayden has fit in with her new family, while still managing to keep in touch with her “old” family. The relationships she has developed have already become so precious. Overall, each character is well-developed and already feel like close friends. Whenever I read the next story, I feel like I’m visiting old friends. Did I mention Hayden's feline buddy Latifa? She's a wisecracking kitty who has her own friends including a new kitty named Lola. She had me LOL!

The author does a great job of painting a vivid picture of Destiny Falls. I always feel as if I’m right there by Hayden’s side. It’s such a joy to return to this mystical town.

While each book answers questions, it also leaves you wondering about other things. I’m looking forward to reading book #4 in this delightful, paranormal story with a touch of cozy mystery and romance mixed together. I devour each book as it comes out, but this one is my favorite. I want more!

An enchanting and magical read….the reader will
find themselves immersed in this astounding realm
of Destiny Falls. The characters are unique, some
out of the world, all are very well defined and are
engrossed in this magical mystery.
The following fur babies make the story interesting.
Hayden Caldwell’s cat, Latifa, Chanel (the Caldwell’s
cat), Marshmallow (Vessie,’s cat) and the kitten,
Lola. Along with an employee, Cleobella & Hayden
make up the Secret Cat Social to help investigating.
Hayden and a friend discover a body while hiking.
The body seems to be the local ferry helmsman who
was involved in illegal activity that still being
investigated.
Only problem is this man died in a fiery explosion of
a police car on the way to prison about a month ago.
Who is this dead man? How did he get there?
I enjoyed meeting Gaspar, the Ghost Camper who
made time stand still while visiting with Hayden. He
would appear out of the blue. He shared tales of the
past with Hayden while they enjoyed tea together.
Who is this ghost? Why is he appearing just to Hayden?
I found subplots within the main plot that provide
an intriguing, well written, magical tale.
Come along to Destiny Falls. Visit with Hayden, the
cats plus share the magical tale they are all involved
to solve.
I enjoyed meeting the witch and realizing her
influence on so many of the characters.
This is book # 3 in the Destiny Falls Mystery and
Magic series.
I volunteered to read The Ghost Camper's Tall Tales.

I. Can’t. Even!
Spent the last less than 24 hours immersed in this book! Or I should say transported to Destiny Falls once again! I read with a little bit of melancholy trying to pace myself, thinking it was the last book. Imagine my joy at the end to find there may be more!
Elizabeth Pantley, amazingly, magically, has outdone herself once again! The mystery, magic, carefully and delicately woven story and history held me captive! Some mysteries revealed; more were laid out to keep me in wonder, entranced! Then there are the cats, who have further developed their personalities and skills, AND involvement in Hayden’s mysterious life events! So glad that some connections with people are furthered-not necessarily completely! But it IS a mystery!
I COULDN'T ever imagine such a delicious story that was perfect to my likes and preferences, and yet, this is that perfection of so much depth and intrigue, amusement and enjoyment, meeting so many people that I feel I am there in Destiny Falls, as another character in the cast. It is created so genuinely and carefully to seem incredibly real …I was there!
Don’t miss these stories woven in all three books; they are priceless!! I feel privileged to have spent some time with Hayden and all in Destiny Falls, and will be overjoyed should the next book arrive!!

This is the 3rd book in this series; I’ve also read the first 2 books and very much enjoyed them, as well as this one. This book might be enjoyed as a standalone, but I’d really recommend reading the series in order. This is one of the most creative series I’ve ever read, and this installment did not disappoint. I really like the main character, Hayden, and most of the secondary characters are well fleshed out also. There is a mystery to solve that’s confined to this book, but also some long-term mysteries. I can definitely recommend this engaging paranormal cozy that is relaxing to read and hard to put down. I was provided an arc, but these opinions are my own.

This book follows the second one in the series. It’s a good continuation with the same characters and a new murder to solve. It’s a nice cozy magical story, perfect to escape into.

Hayden Caldwell is constantly facing new challenges here in Destiny Falls. She has so many questions about her new life and her new found magical family. She stunned when she finds a long-lost letter from her mother explaining what what happened. Hayden isn't sure the missive is real, but I know that she wouldn't give up until she finds out. Things get really strange when she and her friend find the body of a man who supposedly died a month ago. The surprises keep coming. Hayden has a new friend. Gaspar is a ghost camper who tells her amazing stories about a king, a witch and a fountain of youth. Are his tales true? In Destiny Falls they most certainly are. I really enjoy Hayden and her inquisitive mind but her cat, Latifa, is a scene stealer. She and her kitty cohorts are a force to be reckoned with. Also, I'm glad that Han is there to add romance to Hayden's life. She deserves to have a man who understands her. I can't wait to see what happens next. There are so many unanswered questions that I need answers to.

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

The Ghost Camper's Tall Tales is the third book in the Destiny Falls series. It's always fun returning to this unique world filled with magic. The magic in this series is quite unique with a house that changes based on the inhabitants needs and a family that is tied to the island and then a ghost who sort of lives in another realm. It's fun spending time in this world.

This books mystery ties in closely with the previous books, which is nice. This series has quite a lot of continuity and is best read in order. The murder had an unique set up as they find the body of someone they thought was already dead. The mystery progresses slowly with the main character finding out some more information about the dead person and schemes he was involved in, but the actual piece of information to solve the mystery was provided by someone else as she couldn't have known that.

Besides the mystery there are plenty of other plot lines going on. Like the letter Hayden receives that's supposed to be from her mom, there's a whole part of the plot that deals with that and there are some interesting developments. Then there's a bit of romance as Hayden and Han grow closer. And the ghost ofcourse who tells Hayden stories every time he appears. I did manage to predict two plot twists as they seemed kinda obvious, but I am excited to see how these reveals impact the next book. There's still plenty that isn't known yet and remains a mystery.

It was fun to spend some time with the familiar characters and in in this magical world. There is a new fun character in the form of Bear, as well as plenty of more from the characters we already know. I liked how Hayden is learning sign language in this one. Another thing I liked is how smart and careful everyone is, they might be a bit over protective at times, but at least they're not running into dangerous situations they could've prevented. It was nice to see.

To summarize: This was another great read in this series. I enjoy spending time in the magical world of Destiny Falls. There's another murder mystery as they find the body of someone who was supposed to be dead already, which was quite the unique setup for a mystery. There are plenty of other plot lines going on and I liked seeing how everything progresses. There are some twists and turns, some of which I predicted and I look forward to seeing how some of these reveals impact the plot going forward. I enjoyed my time reading this book and spending time with these characters. I look forward to the next one.

The Ghost Camper's Tall Tales by Elizabeth Pantley is the third in the Destiny Falls Mystery & Magic series. I must admit this one made a bit more sense than the first one in the series. It is still and convoluted and complicated story line with a ton of characters. Hayden Caldwell was ditched in Seattle as a baby left by her mother to be raised by two women, who had become her grandmother and great-grandmother. As a young woman she was discovered and returned to her rightful home in Destiny Falls, to her rightful grandmother, her father, her grown brother, Able, and two half sisters. She is now the editor of the Destiny Falls Observer, which has a camera that magically appears at her side when something happens that needs a photo taken of it. There is a lot of magic in Destiny Falls, including her home, Caldwell Crest, which changes and adds rooms as it sees fit. She and her friends, Olivia, were taking a walk when they came upon a dead body. The camera appeared and she took photos of the area after she called Able, a local investigator named Han, and local law enforcement, Jaxson, who called the medical examiner. The odd thing was, the deceased had been dead for a couple of days, but they all thought he had been killed a month ago when the police car he was being transported in went over a cliff and exploded. He had been involved with the mysterious, illegal ferry from which they had retrieved the mysterious box in which she had found a letter to herself, from her mother (?) It all gets very complicated.

Pantley's writing style is good. She is descriptive and inclusive. She has a great imagination. I just think it might be too much. There is always a lot when there is magic involved, and family members, but a book can be too complicated. It often calls for less, or for additional books in the series, or something. Kidnappings, rival magical islands, fountains of youth . . . She draws a good character. Hayden is real and likable. The ghost is good. Cleobella, her grandmother's deaf and very odd housekeeper (?) might be going too far. Other people love it so I guess it is just not my genre.

I was invited to read The Ghost Camper's Tall Tales by the Cozy Mystery Review Crew. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In this third book of the Destiny Falls Mystery and Magic series, we follow Hayden Caldwell as she attempts to discover how her mother, Emily disappeared when she was only a newborn. Destiny Falls is a magical town that knows what you desire before you say it and then it magically appears before your very eyes! Hayden ‘fell’ into her bedroom mirror and landed mysteriously in the town of Destiny Falls. She discovers a family she didn’t know she had, as well as possible answers to where her mother is, and did she really leave Hayden or is there something more sinister happening behind the scenes.

Introduced in this part of the story is a ghost who’s name is Gasper (yes, you read that right) and appears to Hayden in various places to tell her a tale of a downhearted King who has 3 daughters that he loves so very much, except that the youngest daughter succumbs to the dark magic of an evil witch and is forever banned from the kingdom. But what does this have to do with Hayden? Why is he only showing himself to her and no one else?

There are so many twists and turns in this book and I am biting my nails in anticipation for the next book. Hayden and Han (her hopeful love prospect) are embarking on an adventure to find Hayden’s mom on the evil twin island of Destiny Falls called Gladstone when they encounter an elderly menacing woman who invites them into her cave, and then the book ends!! Wait, What?? Don’t leave me hanging! Do they find Emily? Are they flirting with a dangerous witch from the tale of Gasper the friendly ghost? Will they be able to return to Destiny Falls in one piece? Will Hayden and Han find out who took Emily away from her family years ago and why? Or will their memory be erased like so many others who cross the path of this malevolent and wicked witch.
I received a copy of this book which I voluntarily read and reviewed and my comments are my honest opinion.

I listened to the audio version of this book. The reader was able to portray the fun and excitement of the book. Her character voices worked well with the story. I love a narrator who can make the book come alive, and Emily Goss does just that.

Many fun characters in this series. They all have great chemistry and help to move the story along in a fun and magical way. The relationship between Hayden and Hans continues forward. We finally learn some of the secrets about Destiny Falls, and it’s twin town, Gladstone. The final quarter of the book was extremely satisfying in terms of the mystery and leaves the reader impatiently waiting for book 4.

My review is voluntary and all comments and opinions are my own.

I was asked to read The Ghost Camper's Tall Tales Book 3 by Elizabeth Pantley.
I was drawn in with the first book in this series and found many interesting characters and a plot with twists and turns I was delighted with. In this Book 3, I was even more impressed with the details of the surroundings such as Vessie's Cafe decor, the family dining and Poppy's camping store. Absolutely amazing!
Suspense builds through each chapter and you get to know the characters. Gaspar was a favorite of mine!! He never fails to intrigue the reader with his backgrounds and activities.
It is an engaging series and I look forward to more installments.

WOW! I am so glad I found this series. This is the 3rd book in the series but the first for me. Very easy read that grabs you right from the beginning and keeps you hooked. Even though I didn't read the other 2, the writer does an excellent job of keeping you informed to know what happened prior. The ending is just mind exploding and I want the 4th book NOW!

Greetings Humans, Cats, Kittens and Witches! I am back from my latest visit to Destiny Falls. You know that magical place where the rain will never fall 'till after sundown - unless you want it to and are perfectly dressed for it. By 8:00 the morning fog must disappear - unless it's needed to conceal a hidden horizon or hiding a dead person who is already dead. It's Destiny Falls, anything can happen! It beats Camelot or Disneyland by a ferry ride.

In the Ghost Camper's Tall Tales all our beloved characters are back and we basically continue where the story ended at The Disappearance of Emily. Of course there are a few twists in the cats tails with a new secret society, as well as the appearance of one or two people back from the dead. You can interpret that sentence any way you want, you will be correct on all accounts. Except if you think zombies or vampires. Those creatures do not belong in fairytales.

What does belong in fairytales are still safely snuggled in Destiny falls. Princes and princesses, kings and queens, magic wands (that camera can just as well be a wand), delicious meals, ice-cream and pastries that doesn't fatten anyone. And of course talking creatures (voices in your head still count as talking). Oh yes, and witches.

Destiny Falls remains the perfect balance between magical realm and reality. It's still fluffy, fabulous and fun-loving, but in The Ghost Camper's Tall Tales there are definitely a few darker and more sinister elements. I think it fits perfect and paves the way for the story to develop even further.

The more I read of this series, the more respect I have for Elizabeth Pantley. She is one fabulous author and we love reading how much fun she's having. That's a truly remarkable trade. You can read the smile on her face while she's typing away. Best part of all, is how well she knows the feline species. Did anybody else notice that the ghost camper never appeared near the cats? Of course he won't! He needed Hayden to like him and not to be spooked by a couple of over dramatic cats.

We are so happy to know that this is still not the end of Hayden and Latifa's adventures in Destiny Falls. The more the story develops, the more we want to know.

Merged review:

Greetings Humans, Cats, Kittens and Witches! I am back from my latest visit to Destiny Falls. You know that magical place where the rain will never fall 'till after sundown - unless you want it to and are perfectly dressed for it. By 8:00 the morning fog must disappear - unless it's needed to conceal a hidden horizon or hiding a dead person who is already dead. It's Destiny Falls, anything can happen! It beats Camelot or Disneyland by a ferry ride.

Hmmmmmm .... where to begin. Let's start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. (It's not only Latifa who enjoys the old movies and classic musicals. It's a cat thing). You all still remember what you've learned in book 1 and 2?

An accidental journey through a magic mirror. A portal to an enchanted land. A mysterious family she never knew she had. Hayden's life is upended with the wonder of Destiny Falls. But it is tainted by the danger that brought her here and that threatens her newfound family. Can Hayden and her sassy sidekick remove the threat, so that she can begin her magical new life in this captivating world?

Hayden’s life was normal until she fell through a mirror and was thrust into an alternate, magical place. Destiny Falls is not on any map and is home to a family she never knew she had. The town is enchanted and charming, and the amazing mansion she lives in changes to meet the needs of the people who live there, including her! Every day she discovers a new enchantment.

But something is amiss. Hayden gets an ominous warning from a strange woman, who promises to tell her the town secrets and give her a package – if she’ll meet her at the mysterious ferry that lacks a published destination. The ferry visit is cancelled, but the package is delivered. Once it arrives, someone turns up dead. Then the suspicious episodes start, too many to call them coincidences. She and her family are targeted and in danger.

Who or what is causing the chaos? All signs point to the mysterious disappearance of her mother - way back when Hayden was just two days old. Can she identify and eliminate the threat before another person in her life is stolen away? Can she learn more about the secrets kept for her lifetime? With the help of her sassy sidekick cat, and a host of new family and friends, Hayden finds herself surrounded with support as she solves the mystery of the death and learns secrets about herself.

In the Ghost Camper's Tall Tales all our beloved characters are back and we basically continue where the story ended at The Disappearance of Emily. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order (this is book 3), as the mysteries of Destiny Falls and of Hayden’s family keep building with every book!

We rejoin Hayden as she continues in her new career of journalist in Destiny Falls, flirts with a certain handsome investigator, finds out more about her mum and the mysterious Gladstone Island, and inevitably investigates another murder.

Now that the setting and characters are fully established and familiar, this series has started to feel more like a ‘normal’ paranormal cosy mystery. We see less of the cave-bound witch here – which I preferred, as the intervals with her take us away from the main plotline, which I am enjoying more and more as it unfolds – and the history we find out via the ‘ghost camper’ is really interesting and helped me to understand the background and the villain’s potential motivations better

This is an easy-to-read and increasingly engaging cosy mystery series, with a magical house, talking cats and a likeable main character who is out of the loop but determined to uncover the truth. I would suggest this is a great series for teens and older to explore the genres of fantasy and mystery and the space where the two overlap.

I loved this one! My favorite of the series so far. I enjoyed being back in Destiny Falls and I didn't want to leave. Not only is there a murder mystery, there is history & mystery that spreads throughout the books. I would highly recommend this series & I also recommend reading in order. Now, excuse me while I dive into book 4.

This is the third book in the series and for background it better to read this series in order. The characters are interesting we are getting to know Hayden and her newly discovered family better with each book. One of my favorite characters in the book is Hayden’s cat she has so much sad and personality. The mystery is well-written with plenty of surprises throughout.

THE GHOST CAMPER'S TALL TALES by Elizabeth Pantley
The Third Destiny Falls Mystery & Magic Book

A ghost who tells stories while enjoying tea and roasting marshmallows, cats doing morning yoga, and rooms that change of their own volition are not out of the ordinary in Destiny Falls. Finding a dead body, sadly, also isn't an anomaly in Destiny Falls. At least not for Hayden. What is unusual is that the dead body in question happens to belong to a man who is already dead. Or at least supposed to be dead. Everything seems to be tied to the illegal ferry operation and the mysterious Gladstone Island. Do the stories that Hayden's new friend tells have anything to do with the murder? Or the mysterious other island? As the investigation continues Hayden soon discovers she and her family remain in danger. Will she find the answers she needs? What does destiny have in store for her?

I want to go to Destiny Falls! Perfect weather and a house that changes to meet your every need? Yes, please. Yet there must always be balance, thus the existence of Gladstone Island. And the current murder. And other nefarious goings on. Many stories weave their way through THE GHOST CAMPER'S TALL TALES, each slowly giving glimpses of a big reveal.

The third Destiny Falls Mystery and Magic book introduces us to two new characters, the ghost and Bear, the chef. I love these new additions as well as the development and growth of the characters we already know. I like how the ghost's stories slowly reveal pertinent information; the past impacting the present. As for the happy chef who makes the scrumptious delicacies for the Caldwells, I wish his hidden kitchen was in my house!

While I don't like cliff hangers, I do like overlapping story arcs as long as the main plot is resolved. By the end of THE GHOST CAMPER'S TALL TALES we know who the murderer is and are in the midst of a happy ending when we get a shocking revelation. It was perfect!

Humor, romance, mysteries, and magick combine in this uniquely charming series. THE GHOST CAMPER'S TALL TALES is a delightful mystery rooted in the love of family.

Oh boy, I am loving this series. This book continues from where book two (the disappearance of Emily) left off, so I think you need to have read the previous books to get the full enjoyment and mystery of this book, but don't worry you won't be disappointed each book is proving to be just as good as the last. In this book you learn more about the two mysterious islands, that the author has a lot of fun creating and letting her imagination run free with. The mystery was just as captivating and I love the different teams needed to solve it, especially the fluffy kind and even a ghost gets in on the act. I love the characters, I might have said that for all three books in the series so far but it still holds true and the more I learn and discover about them the more I like them. There are a fun, quirky and mysterious. There is no spell casting, so if witch craft isn't your thing then don't let that put you off because to be honest it is so much more than a Mystery & Magic Series but it is hard to explain so just read it for yourself and find out.
Hayden is wondering what the next article for her newspaper is going to be, when you live in a sleepy little town like Destiny Falls but Destiny. Falls is anything but sleepy and has a habit of helping her find just what she needs. This time the help is in the form of the discovery of a body on the hiking trail. The body of a man she already thought was dead. With no obvious signs of death, Hayden finds herself once again asking questions about the mysterious island, the ferry and her mother's disappearance. Hayden Caldwell resides in the isolated and enchanted small town of Destiny Falls. She has committed to memory a letter presumably from her mother who disappeared without a trace when Hayden was an infant. She is at a crossroads as to whether she should share the contents with her family or keep them a secret. While hiking in the woods, Hayden and her friend Olivia discover the body of a man who died a month ago. Hayden is drawn into the police case as the dead man, who died under suspicious circumstances, has a connection with the Caldwell family. Ongoing investigations of previous criminal acts appear to have involved forbidden activities conducted by the man who supposedly lost his life twice. Will the mystery that surrounds the deceased be solved, or will a solution to the case stump law enforcement officials?

The Ghost Camper’s Tall Tales is the third book in the Destiny Falls Mystery & Magic series. It is an exciting continuation of Hayden’s adventures in Destiny Falls. Elizabeth Pantley does a great job of broadening the mystery surrounding Hayden and Destiny Falls. People who live in the town are not surprised by supernatural happenings, such as multiple encounters with a ghost, doorways that suddenly appear, cats that can communicate telepathically, and the usage of white and black magic. The antics of the cats provide some hilarious moments in the story.

Pantley keeps readers hanging on from page to page in anticipation of what is going to happen next. Anyone who enjoys a paranormal mystery that includes amateur sleuthing in conjunction with an official investigation, supportive family relationships, and a relationship on the cusp of turning into a romance will find it a delightful book to read. This third installment can be read as a stand-alone. However, readers might find it beneficial to read the first two books to gain more insight into Hayden and her previous adventures. Pantley ends the story with a great hook that keeps readers looking forward to what happens next in Hayden’s life and in the unique town of Destiny Falls.

“The Ghost Camper’s Tall Tales” (Destiny Falls Mystery & Magic 3) by Elizabeth Pantley

I enjoyed the previous two books, but I LOVED this one! It has he perfect mix of humor, mystery, romance, and magic. After reading several “heavy” books, this light and fun reading was exactly what I needed.

A mysterious old man pops up and time stops. Hayden enjoys the tales the old man shares with her, but what is the point of these stories? Are they true? He is a great - and fun - addition to the story. A mystery must have a dead body…but this man was already dead. What?! And Hayden and her family now find themselves targeted…but by whom?

The characters are delightful and wonderfully developed. Hayden has found a remarkable family that she did not know existed before coming to Destiny Falls; I love the relationship she is developing with all of them. And there must be romance; two hot men - which will Hayden fall for? I even like the cranky old evil witch; she is hilarious. And the Secret Cat Society? Awesome! I love sassy Latifa and her feline friends Chanel, Marshmallow, and adorable little Lola. In this book, the cats are showcased quite a bit more as they join Hayden in trying to solve the mysteries. Hayden is trying to develop a closer connection with Cleobella. And we meet a new character – Bear. I would love one of his “bear” hugs.

Finally, some secrets are revealed. And these secrets are HUGE. Secrets about the islands of Destiny Falls and Gladstone. Secrets about Hayden and Axel’s mother who disappeared shortly after Hayden’s birth. As one question gets answered, two more are created. Some great twists and turns. Definitely kept me hooked.

Destiny Falls continues to be totally magically enchanting. You never know what to expect. You will not want to put this book down. I hope I do not have to wait very long for Book 4.

I received this book from the author with no expectation of a positive review.

Masterful storytelling, prodigious world-building skills and memorable characters propel the imaginative, engaging plots in all of the Destiny Falls books. Just when you think the stories can’t get any more sassy or spunky, author Elizabeth Pantley offers the third book in the DF series, The Ghost Camper’s Tall Tales.

It’s a storytelling hat trick.

Cuz the latest installment of mystery and magic and all things Caldwell and Gladstone has as much umph as the prior books. Maybe even more. Spelled: So. Much. Fun!

When Hayden and her friend Olivia stumble upon a dead body, something doesn’t add up. Intrigue abounds as Hayden, the new editor of the Destiny Falls Observer and member of DF’s first fam, the Caldwells, starts digging.

Hayden’s soon on the trail of a “magically tainted murder case” while someone else is trailing Hayden.

Uh-oh. And what about her relationship with the hunky James Bond-ish Han of DF “Special Forces”? Will they ever solve the case so they can move on with their personal lives? How ‘bout the mysterious letter from her missing mother who’s imprisoned on an evil island? Will Hayden ever find her and reunite? How? Who was really in that exploding police car?

There’s also an illegal ferry scheme. Underground meetings and a sinister, shadowy “commander” who seems to be orchestrating everything evil and eerie. Can Hayden locate and expose him before it’s too late? And who or what is “Lazarus”?

There’s also Gaspar the friendly camping ghost and “Once upon a time, many centuries ago, there was a king… who had three daughters…”

Captivating and delightful, this rich read is as warm as a “Bear” hug and as sparkly as Cleobella’s next ensemble. Indeed, The Ghost Camper’s Tall Tales is So. Darn. Clever. It’ll keep you on your toes – hopping and guessing – until the final pages.

This one's a keeper!

Hayden and Olivia are on a short hike and discover the body of a man, who, was supposedly already dead from a firey car crash a month earlier.

Hayden is now everyones favorite person to be around as much as possible. Of course the reason for her popularity is everyone is doing their best to make sure Hayden stays safe as it appears somene is out to get her.

On top of this, a ghostly older man who likes to camp and has to power to freeze time keeps appearing in order to tell her stories from the long ago past. Hayden has to wonder if these stories have any revelance to what she's involved in. And when she learns the mans true identity, everyone is impressed that she has a most notable new friend.

Meanwhile, the former ferry boat captain's daughter has more information on the woman who disappeared when Hayden was just a couple of days old. It appears she now has a conduit to be a pen pal with her long lost mother who apparently did not know her husband and son were still alive

This is a great story with a few unexpected twist that will keep you on your toes as you try to figure out what's going to happen nexy.

I so love this series. I didn't think the story could get any better but it did. Hayden and her relationships with her family are developing and she is settling in to her life in Destiny Falls. But oops, she finds a body. She finds a letter that says it is from her mother, but is it? Seems like someone is following her around town - is she in danger? Things are going good at her new job as the local newspaper editor and a romance is budding. Behind the scenes, that old witch is up to no good. But, she does offer some good laughs to the story. The story is a good mystery and interesting. Really holds my attention. The ending of this book has two great endings with cliff hangers. When is the next book coming out? I can't wait. You need to read this series! I received a free copy and voluntarily provided this review.

So many mysteries in one book! Suspense jumps off every page. Destiny Falls is surround by more magic and intrigue than many books twice it's size. Hayden and the team have a new mystery to solve that seems to be connect to the old mystery. New characters appear to help in their own ways. A new secret society proves to be one of Hayden's allies. Mixing ancient Destiny Falls history with current events can Hayden and her teams put all the pieces together to the solve all of the mysteries coming their way. And the continuing quest to find Gladstone is being put together during the entire time. Ms. Pantley evokes powerful emotions and heart stopping moments. I can't wait to read the next installment and hope she is writing fast.

After reading the first two books in this series, I couldn't wait for the this one! I decided to save it for vacation, because I knew I wouldn't be able to put it down once I started reading it. And I also knew the sooner I started reading it, the sooner it would be over and I'd be left waiting for the next book. I decided to re-read the first two books before starting the third and I enjoyed them just as much the second time around as I did the first. As expected, I couldn't put this book down once I started reading it. The author once again brings you along on an exciting and unpredictable adventure in such a captivating way that you'll never want it to end. This is my favorite book in this series so far! I can't wait to find out what happens next!!!

The Ghost Camper’s Tall Tales is book 3 in the Destiny Falls Mystery & Magic series by Elizabeth Pantley.

This book picks up about a month after the last book ends. Hayden and Olivia are out for a hike and make an unpleasant discovery.

This series is one of my favorites! It keeps getting better and better with each book. I love the way things move around and doors appear at Caldwell Crest. We get to know some characters better and meet soon interesting new ones. I love the cats! It seems like for every question that is answered, several more come up regarding her mother.

I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I absolutely LOVE book 3 of this series! Elizabeth is really able to create an intriguing story. I was constantly wondering what was going to happen next. And even at the end, I'm wondering what will come next for Hayden and her community. The addition of Gaspar and his uniqueness is so much fun! And the fact that no one else in Destiny Falls has meet him gives Hayden an opportunity to increase her knowledge about Gladstone in a way perhaps no one before her has had. So many new twists and turns to love. I don't want to spoil this for others. Just read it!!

I liked Hayden's new adventure. When she goes for a walk with her friend, they find the body of man who was supposed to have died a month before. How can that be? As they are trying to find answers, Hayden starts seeing a ghost. It is an old man who camps and feeds her roasted marshmallows. He also tells her stories. A letter from someone who says she is Hayden's mother, throws Hayden into turmoil. She has to figure out who killed that man and if it really is her mother that she is corresponding with. What does all of this have to do with her?
