Finding your way as a young woman has never been easy, especially when the odds are stacked against you. K was born into virtually no family which meant that she had to fend for herself growing up in the Bay Area. She knew that using her love for music and her motivation to succeed would come with a price if she was going to beat the hand she was dealt. From couch surfing, stripping, domestic violence and sex trafficking, K managed to find her light and pave her way to where she knew she belonged; THE TOP.
Babe. I love Winter. So if you watch her lives, she gives us the full tea on stories we’ve heard half of. We find out what happened with the girl who smells like poverty, we get the whole story on [redacted] Girl Mob (Lil Grimey? Ma’am) Winter is so funny! And so real. As someone who has BPD too, I related to a lot of the sad things in this book but in true Winter fashion, she makes you laugh so hard at the crazy moments. Bless her. Highly recommend. Let’s make this movie?
I know a lot about her just from following her watching interviews listening to her music etc but there’s a couple things in this book that even I didn’t know and I think this book is so informative and honest. I absolutely loved it I could barely put it down. Good job winter! Can’t wait for the second one!
Like a lot of other people, I knew Winter because of BGC. I watched her on tiktok, and back in the day, I loved her storytime youtube videos. I've never really read a book from an "influencer/celebrity" before, but dude, I finished this in less than 3 days. I work full time, and I'm in school part-time, just to put in perspective how quickly I finished this.
Hearing her story and from where she came from was insane. The book is authentic, and it isn't corny or preachy. She's just real, honest, and telling it like it is. Something I've always liked about Winter is she has always been authentic and true to herself. Really good read.
I enjoyed the meaning behind the text ( 5 stars) writing ( 1-2 stars). I know her main goal was to tell her story. But the sentence structure was very poor, if you are into literature or just reading, you might have trouble reading through the sentences without stopping and realizing it was poorly written out or corrected. I'm not sure if it's the publishing company to blame or many she just published it without revision, however, she never claimed to be an author or someone who wanted to write literature, so it does make sense. Again, it great story but the writing was very elementary school-like!
Loved the book so much. Her story of her life and what she has been through is wild and it made for a great read. The style of writing used made it enjoyable and a easy read. I didn't want to put the book down. Can't wait to read her second book when it comes out.
This book gave me an new found respect for Winter. I have grown to know things about her that she didn't show on BGC or even on YouTube. She is a thriving successful woman. I would read this again.
For a first time Author this book had me hooked and I couldn’t put it down. The first chapter was a bit confusing to read but chalked it up to again being a first time author.
This book was perfect for me and my nosiness. Winter definitely had a story to tell and it was a roller coaster. She did a great job with sticking to her true self which is honestly the best part about her. Winter is a real ass bitch! This is a real ass book! It’s really like she’s talking and telling her story throughout the whole thing. She went through a lot of shit and preserved, and this book did exactly what she hoped it would do…motivate. I’m mad I left the sequel at home and can’t pick it up immediately 😡
Don’t get me wrong, her life and journey has been nothing short of crazy. And I enjoyed reading a book that made me feel like I was talking to a friend. But the episodic nature and each “episode” following a similar pattern got a bit old for me. But I kept reading because holy shit I can’t believe this was someone’s real life.
Firstly. It is a book based on events from ‘Kailas’ life, & I do love her Internet personality so reading this book I felt like I had the inside scoop on her life. And the way she wrote it was like your homegirl was texting you with Piping hot tea the entire time. I love this book.
i’ve read this book about 3 times and it’s so funny ! She is so real and and relatable, and her life’s journey is difficult but her determination for a better life full of peace and success is so admirable. 10/10 book
