Regret Nothing: Vol. I: A Memoir in Short Stories and Life Lessons

Rate this book
Nichole has spent her whole life fighting. Fighting her own demons internally, fighting for the love of her estranged parents and dysfunctional family, and fighting to maintain her mental health. She has a knack for stirring the pot and over the years has used that controversial ability for good and admittedly at times, a little bad as well. In an unconventional upbringing and a series of events that, for some people, may break them both emotionally and mentally, Nichole took those life experiences and became everything that people said she never could. Over the years any time she has shared a story from her life, the listener would drink it all in, then stare wide eyed for a moment before saying, “you need to write a book.” In the hopes that her stories may help or at least comfort others, that’s what she’s done. Today, Nichole recounts her life up to this point, as she is still trying to piece it all together just like you, but she feels sharing some of her experiences along her path, may help others as they struggle or feel alone, as she did many times in her life. Nichole’s shared stories from her childhood through early adulthood in this first volume reads as if you have snuck a few pages from her diary. You can laugh with her, and sometimes at her, you will cry, but mostly you will find yourself shocked with almost every page and story she shares. This book is definitely an eye opener as to what a young girl can endure yet still persevere and emerge from tragedies, heartbreaks, unbelievable traumas and still end up a strong, resilient woman in the end. Nichole gives you a guide to surviving and loving unconditionally. Her outlook is honest and at times can be extremely deep, other times childish and petty, but regardless you are always getting the raw, unadulterated version of the author. Throughout this memoir, her message is clear, no matter what you go through in your life, Nichole to this day, regrets nothing, and neither should you.

Warning : This book contains strong language, use of drugs and alcohol by a minor, rape and sexual assault, sexual activity involving a minor, sexual assault/ rape of a minor, excessive or gratuitous violence, sexually explicit content throughout, death or dying, suicide and other things that generally shouldn’t happen to anyone. While I want and encourage people of all ages and generations to read this, especially young women, as I feel you may take something away from it, please keep in mind there are parts that are extremely uncomfortable. I wrote this, not to make you feel awkward, or to even pity me, but with the hope that if you have ever found yourself in any sort of similar situation, but had nowhere to turn like me, you could at least find comfort in knowing, you are not alone. Find solace in these pages and know that no matter how bad some of these stories are, I still survived, and I am here now to tell you the story. I still laugh like a kid daily; I see the beauty in every sunrise, and I regret nothing.
