He’s taboo. Hot and dark daddy. Twice my age. And his son has a thing for me...

Breaker, the sergeant in arms of the Dark Slayers MC is everything I should run from – tough, dangerous, intense as hell.

He and his club are a gang of violent badasses and I've learned the hard way to stay away from abusive men.

If not for the sake of my friend, I would have never agreed to get anywhere close to his father, no matter how hot and addictive he is. But Daniel is missing, and Breaker begs for help. I just cannot refuse.

I try to keep my head strong, to shield myself from his charms, but one look into those piercing green eyes, one accidental touch, and I’m on fire.

He is my safe place, the protector I never had, my first crush.

But I’m forbidden fruit to him - too young, too innocent and his son is in love with me.

Breaker refuses to cross that line. If he does – it will end in disaster. But can he really push me away when we are already so close?

Can it be that some ties can't be undone?

Breaker’s story is the second book in the "Dark Slayers MC” hot and alluring romance series featuring bikers who will remind you why you like the bad boys so much.
They’re protective, rough, and running on pure diesel and adrenaline.
Each book in the series is a standalone with a guaranteed happily ever after for the couple, though it is recommended to read them in order for maximum enjoyment.

Chemistry Ignites

Breaker is the SAA for the Dark Slayers MC who has a son, Daniel, who has gone missing and Daniel isn’t the only person who has been missing. Breaker and Daniel’s friend, Callie, team up to find out where Daniel might be. Even though Daniel has a thing for Callie it doesn’t stop Breaker from wanting the college student. Yes, he’s old enough to be her father but it doesn’t matter because the chemistry between them is hot to say the least. There are plenty of twists, suspense and surprises that will have you flipping pages as fast as you can. This is a series I can get behind.

Breaker is a good name for this book bc it breaks my heart this book flopped IMO!

This is the second book in this series and well it just didn't compare to the first book! I mean it literally read as a ya book trying to be an adult book ( best I can describe it anyway) I'm not sure if it was because the h in this read was just twenty that the author thought she had to regress?!?Considering everything Callie survived and lived through you'd think she matured early, but that would be false. Even when she was "being brave" she was still acting foolish and not thinking like an adult! Ex: she's told to stay out of the fight, she runs straight into it with a gun! She knows people are missing and she's been attacked walking home in the dark but she continued to do it! When the climax of stories one and two happen all she thinks about is herself and why Breaker doesn't check on her?! And don't even get me started on her mom and her 360 attitude, not to mention she supposedly hated Callie her whole life but it's blamed on Preston and his control over her?!? Let's not forget he was a pedophile in waiting and physically abusive to Callie & she did NOTHING to protect her kids! WTF let's just welcome dear old mom with open arms! Eff that!! I literally wanted to bang my head on a wall most of the time reading this book!! I really would like to know who is behind all the hypnotized and missing kids, did they find Terry, did he suffer?!? However this book kinda ruined it for me! Alas, I'm stepping away from this series I just can't in got consciousness waste my time reading on only to be frustrated!✌

This is the second book in the series. We met Breaker in the first book when he was looking for his son Daniel. I am going to start with what I didn't like. and warning I am going to start with spoilers-so beware as of now****** Daniela- the girl he ends up with*** I am all for age gaps but damn really, we had to go there, immediately, a girl he thought his son had a thing for but still went after, must not have bothered him too much, and no protection, ahhh cmon chick he is a biker and you didn't think he got around, you saw his lifestyle and you didn't think diseases?!?! what in the world...So of course pregnancy you had to see that coming from a mile away, just like the Preston skeevy stepdad situation, now I have to say she is way better at forgiveness with her mother than me, because that is just messed up. What I did like, reading about Storm and Zoe, except since I read the last book, I thought that at the end they had a kid and wondered where he was or was that further years down the road..

Callie has had a rough life, she is treated that by her stepfather and her mother only wants to protect the stepfather. Breaker and Callie always gravitate towards each other. Each with their own set of problems, Callie with her messed up family and Breaker with the MC, they just couldn’t be separated. I love the push and pull between them and Callie trying to break down Breaker’s walls that he has built up around himself concerning her age. Drama, suspense and finally love Is what makes this book a must read!!

I was so so on the first book, this one was going to be a make or break book for me with the series. I made it to the end, but it was hard and that was reading in 20 minute spurts while working out. I didn't get the couple, didn't see their connection. It also seemed like the cult thing wasn't resolved, along with Callie's stepfather. Maybe that will happen in later books, I don't know, I just know I won't be checking them out. This is it for me and the series.

This is a hot and steamy age-gap romance between an older man and younger woman. It starts out with Brian Wells, a.k.a. Breaker, the sergeant at arms for the Dark Skayers M.C. being approached at the Dark Slayers clubhouse by a friend of his missing son. She approaches him and tells him he should talk to a girl at their college about his son, that she should know something or have some idea about where his son disappeared to. She gives him the name, Callie Reyes. He has been desperately searching for his son for awhile with no clues and this may be the break he needs. Later on, at the clubhouse there is a scuffle and he escorts a young teenage boy out. They are seen outside by the cops and are picked up and brought to jail. Low and behold the teenager he is arrested with is none other then Lucas Reyes, the brother of the girl he needs to talk to about his son. Fast forward and he ends up at the college to meet Callie Reyes and it's mutual attraction between the two of them, but he refuses to do anything about it because she's as young as his son and he gets the impression that his son was probably interested in a relationship with her, because who wouldn't since she is gorgeous in his eyes. I'll end it here so you'll have to read the rest for yourself. I can tell you that the rest entails trouble with a stepfather, lots of missing college kids, suspicious armed people in the local woods, illegal drugs and possible hypnotism. So, suffice it to say, there's a lot to discover in the book and let's not forget the off the charts magnetism between Breaker and Callie. The heat between those two is scalding! The storyline is one of mystery as well as a scorching romance. I highly recommend this book because it covers everything from a hot age-gap MC romance with a mystery woven in.

DNF

I got to 68% before I finally hit my limit. The girl was immature, the big bad biker dude is indecisive. Then there was something with hypnotism and brainwashing, and that’s when I’m tapped out. If you’re gonna write an MC novel, then make sure it has MC stuff in it.

Not enough excitement.

O k, where do I start with this book? We're still on the hunt to find breakers, son. With some new leads, a breaker has found his way to Callie. He stumbled across lucas, who is Callie's brother.
All the tips at the MC has gotten to find. Daniel has turned out to be dead end, except for this one. With her being daniel's age, it was hard for breaker to adjust to having such a young girl be attracted to him and vice versa. Throwing a mom who seemed like she did not give. I care about her kids in a stepfather who was creepy, as can be in some weird video that a professor made for his lectures.
Throw them all together. And you have the most craziest storyline, ever. Mind you. This is a continuation from book one and they still haven't found everything out. It wasn't a bad book. I felt the female character. What's a bit young and Immature, which really affected. I think the story a lot if she was more hardcore. I can see it working out. Wait in a way. She was just too immature to be a great female character lead.
I personally will continue reading because you know I am open invested in this storyline but I just cannot get that connection I did with the other series. She had that just drew me in like I find these stories. A lot boring to me. There's no excitement. There's nothing it's just. Boring.

Aria Ray continues to pull me into each of her stories. This is the story of Breaker and Callie. As you recall from Storm, Breaker is the Sergeant in Arms of the Dark Slayers. He is rough, tough, dangerous and very intense. His son (Daniel) has been missing and he is doing everything he can to find him. Callie is a college student who is a friend of Daniels. She is quiet, beautiful, strong and innocent. When Breaker and Callie first meet, there is a connection – only the other does not think that other would ever feel that way about them. After all Breaker could be Callie’s dad and Callie is nothing like the other girls at the club.

This book is full of passion, mystery, suspense, cults, whacko stepfather’s, finding out the meaning of family, loyalty, heartache, tragedy, reunions, drugs, and love. I’m anxious to see what is next for the Dark Slayers. No spoilers, but with the way things left off, it can’t be the end of this series! Great story and great characters make this series. Breakers son Daniel has gone missing like so many other kids in his town. He cant function trying to figure out things. Callie is a friend of Daniels and Melissa also a friend of Daniels goes to the clubhouse to tell Breaker he should talk to Callie Reyes. One night at the clubhouse a few college students come in to have some fun. Well one of them stares at a stripper and a man keeps hitting on her and the boy starts a fight with him and when Breaker takes them outside and the cops drive by they are arrested. They get bailed out at the same time. Him by MC Prez Storm and Callie bailed Lucas. Breaker cant take his eyes off Callie and she him. What the hell is wrong with him. When the are leaving it hits him Lucas's last name is Reyes and hes calling his sister Callie. Now they have to work together and he knows he will go to hell and back to protect her. She will be his. Great 2nd book.

Not because of breaking things, but because he IS breaking in this book, has been really since Book 1 where the disappearance of his son was a subplot we are getting an ending for now. Here is the thing, I love Breaker and Callie together, don't mind the age gap at all, but Breaker's behaviour is at points so unbelievable ridiculous that I had to deduct a star for that. I love the Dark Slayers, I think the plots are absolutely interesting and new and I enjoyed those as much as the romance, but endings are somewhat problematic. I am still continuing with the series, though, since the rest of the book more than makes up for it.
If you are into bikers, who have been hardened by the life they lead and now find themselves confronted with their person, these books are for you. Steamy romances with a crime subplot that is fascinating and well written. I hope Grit will be next!

After reading the first book in this series, I was already curious about the story of Breaker. There;s a common theme running through the series, starting with the vanishes of teenagers, so you could read this book on its own, but it’ll be more helpful if you read it in sequence. Breaker is looking for his son, and has received new clues. He meets a friend of his son : Callie , and immediately feels more for her. It is mutual, but given the circumstances: missing person, age difference, it is difficult to enter into a relationship. Yet they succeed, after some struggles. The tension between Callie and Breakers is well described. Its a well-written suspenseful story. Since I;m a bit vengeful myself, I find Callie very forgiving towards her mother, and even Breaker. Breaker still has an excuse his behavior, his concern for his son. and he more than makes up for it.

Breaker’s son, Daniel, is missing as well as other college aged young people. Breaker had just recently learned he was a father. Daniel’s mother never told him he was a father until the boy was a teen. Callie and Daniel were friends and had classes together. When Breaker learned of Callie’s friendship with his son, he sought her out to see if she had any information that would help him find his son. When he first meets her, she affects him in a way that no other woman ever had. Callie is too young for him, and from an entirely different world. He tries to keep his distance, but Callie fees the pull too. A captivating storyline that is emotional. There’s danger, suspense, a possessive stepfather, cult involvement, desire and undeniable passion. I love the characters in this series and can’t wait for more.

Breaker #2 12/18/2021

Breaker has been looking for his son for over a month but it’s like every clue doesn’t lead to what he needs. Till some college kid come to see him and gives him a name. Then one night at the clubs, club this young guy starts a fight and breaker breaks it up but the kid is just trying to fight with him more. While outside trying to get the kid to leave the kid is still picking a fight with breaker when if has just had enough and puts the kid on his but. But it just so happen the cops where driving by so they arrest them both. That night the kids sister gets him out of jail and Storm gets breaker out. That’s when Callie and Breaker see each other for the first time and it makes a impression on the both of them. She likes what she sees and he released she the girl he needs to talk to about his son. So that’s how things start to get complicated. So enjoy another good read and see what trouble and if they get a HEA or not !!

Callie had been working on a project with Daniel Breakers son before he disappeared, now Breaker thinks she can be a lead to his sons disappearance but hes not expecting her to bring out feelings he never thought possible for an old man like him. but he cant go there his son likes her too, even if he is still missing. but as desire builds between them can they deny their feelings any longer? Will they be able to get to the bottom of the people disappearing and get closer to finding Daniel? this is book 2 in the series, it can be read standalone but Daniels disappearance plays a part in book 1 so best read together. Well written with an age gap love, suspense, desires, hot scenes and more! the chemistry between breaker and Callie is off the charts!

Great story. Breaker is the sergeant of arms for the Dark Slayers MC club. He's finally gotten a chance to spend some time with his son, Daniel, but then his son disappears. Callie ends up meeting Breaker when she says she'll help him find his son. Callie's home life is horrible. She and her brother hate their Step-father who wants Callie but not in a fatherly manner. There is so much action, drama, fighting, kidnapping, drugs, forbidden fruit, passion and love. Breaker and Callie might have an age difference between them but what is a number. Breaker has a lot to atone for when he finds Daniel and says some nasty things to Callie. It all works out for the best as they have a fire that blazes between them that nothing can put out. Highly recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Breaker is still searching for his son Daniel. He is distraught over not being able to find where his son had disappeared to. He was not the only one missing in the area other kids from the college had gone missing as well. Callie was a friend of Daniel’s, she might have information to help find Daniel. Callie meets Breaker in jail bailing her brother out of jail for fighting with Breaker in a bar. She is intrigued by him. She wants to know more about him. Callie doesn’t realize he is Daniels dad. When she finds out who he is she still want to know him, even though he could be her father. The attraction is strong, will they give into their desires? Or will finding Daniel Daniel become their sole focus? Can they forget about their desires or are they destined to fall for each other?

Breaker's son, Daniel, is missing and while looking for him he meets Callie, a friend of Daniel's. Callie's home life is full of trauma from a stepfather that abuses her and a mother that doesn't look out for her. Breaker saves her from her family and Callie and her brother come to stay with him while they continue to look for Daniel. The whole MC gets brought into a bigger plot of a cult in the woods that appear to have taken Daniel. Lots of drama, some steam and a lot of heartbreak between the two keep the book moving. Some of the book didn't flush out - who/what is the cult and what is their purpose? What was Callie's stepfathers involvement and what about the MC member that was involved with him? maybe this comes later? I didn't feel finished but also didn't feel like a cliffhanger.

We met Breaker in book 1, Storm & Zoe's story. Breaker's son and Zoe's sister were both missing in book 1 and Breaker's son is still missing. Looking for clues, he meets his son friend Callie and there is instant chemistry between them, but he thinks she is more like a girl friend to his son. They begin to work together to find Daniel, Breaker's son and even though there is an age difference (Breaker was very young when Daniel was born) the chemistry is undeniable. The book has a lot of drama, action, steam, twists and turns, and a few surprises. Great read, great series. And both books are available on KU to read for FREE with your subscription

Loved reading this book the story was emotional the characters have their own problems that made it more emotional. This story is about Breaker and Callie. Callie has had a rough life her own mother would standby Callie 's stepfather than her own child. Breaker he has his his own problems with attitude. Breaker is involved with Dark Slayer MC, his son has gone missing he contacted a school friend of his son. Callie is in college, she met Breaker while they were looking for his son, the chemistry between them was intense hot and steamy, Breaker still unsure of age and age gaps but cannot seem to stay away.

difficult to finish

The storyline started promising but the moment Callie started speaking the book took a nosedive. She was ridiculously immature, selfish and basically all over the place. Breaker was drunk all the time and seemed in a sleep deprived daze. Nothing in this book was cohesive and everything was unbelievable. In the middle of escaping from shooting someone the couple decides to have sec for the first time in a cabin? Unbelievable! Breaker finds his long lost kidnapped son and Callie is hurt & upset that he is spending time with his son? OMG how do I get a job helping to develop the characters and plot? Very disappointing storyline hope remaining books in series get better…can’t get my time or brain cells I lost reading this back!!!

Good

Wow her writing style is great. Breaker and Calorie felt a pull to be together. Like the first book there was way to much back and forth between the main characters its tiresome . even after they were together there is worse back and forth between them. When breaker finds his son, if he wasn't in the frame of mind to talk to Call ie ,he should have just told her to go to sleep , not been a jerk and said mean crap that he didn't even remember saying later .and the fact that Callie forgave her mother for everything was B.S. her mother even admitted she knew Preston didn't look at Callie right even before they were married , so she knowingly picked money and security over her own daughter .what kind of crap is that .

Breaker was in the last book in the secondary storyline when he was looking for his missing son Daniel, in this story he continues his search. Callie was Daniel’s friend, she is rescued from her abusive home by Breaker and the two struggle to figure out their underlying attraction for each while trying to find Daniel.

Usual MC storyline, once Daniel is found, I was confused/irritated by Breakers behavior, not really sure what happened to the Professor don’t think they ever caught him, I may have missed that in all the emotional drama.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book in the Dark Slayers MC series is about Breaker and Callie. There are several reasons why he and Callie should not be together. His missing son Daniel is one of them. They both are working together to find him. Callie does not let the age difference bother her but it does bother him. They cannot deny their attraction to each other which leads to consequences. Their story is full of drama, surprises, suspense, family, danger, lust and love.

This series was another good find.

Breaker was losing his mind. His son was still missing with no clues, his mind is muddled from lack of sleep then in walks his son's friend Callie. The attraction is immediate but Breaker is on the fence .

Finally they get together but Breaker is still confused . with Callie help and ger brothers they fine Daniel. But still Breaker pushes her away even after finding his son, Callie being kidnapped Breaker still refuses to acknowledge his feelings.

With all this going on throw in a cult, revenge and this MC is still standing. Callie and Breaker do get their HEA

Good romance with a little MC action

This is book two for the Dark Slayers MC. The VP Breaker is still trying to find his son Daniel. Breaker gets a lead from a college friend to speak with Callie Reyes. One thing leads to another while Breaker and Callie are working on the case together. The romance is good, but it’s written in a young adult way. Callie is twenty years old and a virgin. Breaker is said to be around thirty. This doesn’t bother me but some other reviewers were upset about the age gap. I found the couple worked and balanced each other. There is more drama and MC happenings in this book two so more angst. Read On!

I read the first book in this series and was blown away by it, this second book did not disappoint; I was taken back into the story pretty much where book one left off, (that said both books can be read as standalone but there is a story thread that ties them together). I devoured it in one sitting and I’m now going to wait patiently for book three. I love the characters and the fact they’re not perfect as it makes them more human and relatable, just go read and you’ll see what I mean

I always like a great MC story filled with tons of drama and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat like this one did. Even though they had their own set of problems, Breaker and Callie always found a way to gravitate towards each other when they least expected it. Their chemistry was explosive especially when Breaker was holding back and Callie worked on breaking those barriers. A must read between these two and their age gap differences.

Breaker is falling apart. He is the SSA of his MC and has not finally had time to spend with his son Daniel. The problem is that he is missing and has been missing for awhile. Callie is trying to find answers to where Daniel is as well. She has a crap homelike and tries not to be there. She is attracted to Breaker even though he is twice her age. What will happen? Will theu give into temptation or solely focus on finding Daniel? Great, intense storyline with loads of drama and romance along with danger.
