Heretic Spellblade #3

Heretic Spellblade 3

Rate this book

The time for secrets is coming to an end. Nathan has changed history and stopped the end of the world, but the future is more uncertain than ever. He can't rely on his knowledge of the future anymore.

Conquering the Federation has turned Nathan into a national hero, but also earned him countless enemies. The peace he has won looks short-lived. The Empire is fracturing around him, as nobles fight over the throne. Civil war looms.

Further north, the dark elves investigate the incident that nearly destroyed their ancient metropolis. Nathan finds himself dragged into dark elf politics, and sandwiched between Nurevia and Astra, two beautiful dark elf Champions who are old friends and rivals.

Nathan's dark pact with the demonic Messengers will be the key to preventing the world from falling apart. He just needs to protect everyone he cares about in the process.

Heretic Spellblade contains plenty of violence, undefined relationships, beast girls, and scenes that don’t fade to black.

He’s done it again!!

The story keeps getting better every book. Sometimes the mc has it too easy or the plot drags on as you get into a story, NOT THIS ONE!!! Wham bam thank you ma’am this story is excellent

Man this is good!

You have got to jump into this series. It's top tier fantasy, and I'm not limiting it to its subgenre.
In this latest, Nathan is just trying to hold the world together while his opponents blindly do their best to wreck it. We learn more about the global situation, and about the multiverse it inhabits. Relationships progress at a fairly slow burn, which is honestly one of the most realistic parts. The politics are byzantine, but the twists and turns are logical considering the vast diversity of motivations. It's good. Really good. More please!

An amazing installment

This series has quickly become one of my favorites and this book is part of the reason why. HS3 manages to aptly balance political machinations, the threat of war, and provides real growth and development of several characters. Anxiously awaiting the next book.

OMG!!!

Book 3 was EVERYTHING!! I loved it! We finally get answers to things only hinted at in books 1 and 2. Things move quickly and we get a conclusion to some of the political upheaval from the previous book’s and a whole new host of issues with far reaching consequences. Lot of character building and world expansion. Can’t wait for book 4

Another fantastic book; well-written, excellent pacing and solid characters. Hard to "put down" (doesn't work as well with digital books, but...) and kept me engaged throughout. It even ended at a good inflection point to set up for the next book without an aggravating cliff-hanger. If you read the first two you need to read this, and if you haven't read the other books, get on it.

This wasn't too bad. Our protagonist learned a few more things, and got more powerful. He also got embroiled deeper into politics, but on the bright side

Will pick up the sequel.

I like this series because it is weird and entertaining. I think the author does a great job of getting the good stuff in the story with it not feeling artificial and it is nice when characters written to be skilled and talented don't have to be idiots to further the plot along which always irritates me especially when it comes to violence.

Heretic Spellblade is easily the best harem fantasy story i've read thusfar. Most novels of this genre i've read thusfar are pretty much pulp trash novels, which is too bad, cause there's no reason why more authors couldn't write stories this good. Seriously, has anyone read Chaos God? I wanted to punch myself in the face after the fourth chapter, just to punish myself for wasting my time.

This has been a pleasant discovery. I like the author's creativity and the slightly different approach to LitRPG.

I have gotten a little tired of the constant repetition of how damaged some of the champions are. If they have been with the MC for a while, do we really need a refresher on how damaged each one is/was?

Still digging the magic system

The magic system is recognizable but still unique. Can’t quite figure out where the story is leading which makes it frustratingly interesting. The MC is powerful and a great strategist but blind to so many things right in front of him. Classic tragic Hero trope. Makes him human (even if he’s not at this point.)

Good continuation of the series

Slowly the plot is unveiling. intrigue and betrayal is rampant and still there is not full clarity on who’s trying to drown the world in demons.
Among the very best series in the genre.

Solid

This was another great addition to this pseudo tower defense fantasy. The MC is a dominant character who has excellent insight and instincts. The harem element is interesting as well.

Best book of the series!

I have constantly enjoyed this series, but I think this is the best one so far. There was a good mix of action and personal issues that balanced nicely. I found the pacing to be perfect! My only complaint is the next book is not available yet!

Better and Better

This series Began with a bang; both the action and the political intrigue have one ramped up farther. The characters continue to evolve and grow. I can't say enough good things about this series.

Another breathtaking adventure in this amazing world. This book is extremely well written, full of heart and mystery. These books keep getting better and it will be an agonising wait for the sequel.
Once again Stephanie Savannah does a stellar job bringing these characters to life.

These are a bit odd, given that they’re a mix of a pretty cool fantasy story and a lot of gross, ferociously unsexy sex. In my opinion. I like them enough to keep reading but I’m super tired of his penis and the stuff he does with it.

Awesome next installment.

I think this might be the best of the 3 so far. I am especially happy that it doesn't end with a cliffhanger but is instead a complete book. I'm excited to see where this goes.

Great

I love this series. The plot is amazing. I just wish there was a bit more character development. They don’t feel flat, they’re just not fleshed out.

Enjoyable

A well planned follow up to the previous book. Nathan navigates the politics and machinations of humans, elfs, and messengers. He also increases his retinue.

A well-written continuation to the series. Much less info-dump this time but much more involved mythology. Looking forward to the next one.
