Countermove: How the Nephilim Returned After the Flood

Rate this book
Countermove is written by L.A. Marzulli. He expounds on the scriptures from the Bible, The Good News, relating to the account taking place in Genesis 6. Once you read what is written there, L.A. takes you deeper into the meaning
of this chapter and further into what unfolds the Bible. There is an unfortunate misunderstanding of this passage, based on a two-fold 1. the mistranslation of the Hebrew term Nephilim and 2. the denial of the possibility of supernatural intervention into the genome of the human race.

I learned of this book via Coast 2 Coast AM. It's a good read, with lots of Bible passages to support the author's case. People interested in Biblical evil in the current world and its source would enjoy this.

I have the paperback edition that is not a format listed here. Copyright 2020 by L.S. Mazulli. ISBN 0617395978717. Definitely a fascinating read, with extensive quotes from the Bible, e.g. the literary context. The author makes a compelling case for the Nephilim as real entities on earth, the historical origins, and parses facts from history in a very readable entertaining manner. He covers the fallen angels, the watcher angels, genesis, Garden of Eden, the Flood, Ham's wife, the Book of Jude, the Gospel of Nicodemus, Tower of Babel and much more. The author presents his arguments for the Nephelim pre and post flood origin stories. He covers the coverup and deceptions of all sorts. I am open to the possibilities of this perspective, however, it's definitely one of several interpretations and books of these events and genre. Thus, ultimately, your conclusions from reading this "take" on it, will likely depend on your personal beliefs and values. The author kindly gives us his, in the appendix. The book has a nice bibliography of readings and sources too. From a historical perspective, it is a fascinating read of "possibilities."

L.A. Marzulli has written a superb book. I have followed L.A. now for a few years, have read a couple of his other books, listened to him on Prophecy Watchers, read his articles, watched his videos, and have heard him speak at a conference.

This is a well-researched book and for those who doubt or do not believe the Genesis 3:15 or Genesis 6 account, I encourage you to approach this book prayerfully and with an open heart. Marzulli also includes chapters written by other authors that also corroborate the Biblical account. In particular, Pastor Mondo Gonzales provides fantastic insight into the language and historical aspects of the passages that I had not considered in the past.

This book is well worth the time and effort to read it.

Some of the chapters from this are reprinted excerpts from other books/authors, so it leads to some repetition of major themes. The first five chapters of the book are the best. Most Christians will find the subject matter too “out there” but read these first chapters with an open mind and you might see it differently.
