Originally from Manchester, I now live in the South Wales Valleys with my husband and three children.

My passion for writing began in primary school, but being a very shy child with very little confidence, I swapped writing for Forensic Science, achieving my BSc in Forensic Science from Staffordshire University.

It was only after years of ill health that I finally picked up my pen again, and thanks to my lovely publisher having faith in my work, the rest, as they say, is history!

Another brilliant book by Laura Thomas, this time following the life of Rachel, a society girl who debuts at court and enjoys the playful side of society life. The book follows Rachel's growth from shy young society girls to confident young women who has everything to live for, mingling withe the notorious Mitford Family and the Prince of Wales... Until circumstances see her family lose her fortune and she carves her own way in life.

A fantastic book following the life of Rachel as she debuts at court before rebelling against society. I loved the character and her interactions, and her relationship with the Prince of Wales. The author has obviously researches the historical aspects well and touches on the taboos at the time.

I am looking forward to the next book from this author.
