The subject material in this play is interesting as I had never heard of aphasia before and the journey the protagonist goes through is very interesting to see from an audience perspective. But the writing, for me, was just not up to scratch. The dialogue was unnatural, the personalities would undergo large changes seemingly unprompted and a few characters barely had any purpose at all. The plot was decent but the execution was dire.
I had great hopes for this play, since it's about aphasia, a subject of great interest to me, but it turned out to be too much about aphasia and not enough about anything else.
