Kat's taking back her life and Nick's along for the ride. I loved her in this conclusion. She figures her shit out, she keeps going to therapy, she takes care of a certain situation with a creep, and she and Nick move forward.

Speaking of Nick - his backstory is revealed and the reader finally gets to know why he is the way he is. He's so sweet and swoony here, even though he bumbles a few times (he is a man after all...), and he and his love wind their way to their happy ever after.

I absolutely loved this conclusion. It's very fitting, filled with all of the emotions - sadness, joy, so much love, and the chemistry between Nick and Kat is even hotter now that their relationship has stabilized. I am going to remember these two for a very long time.

I don’t have enough words to explain my love for this book! This whole trilogy has been INCREDIBLE!

You would think LM Fox was a NYT’s Best Seller (she should be!). Her writing is flawless. She’s such a talented author, the way she weaves the storyline with the twists and turns is brilliant.

Just a tip from me to you.. invest in tissues as it’s emotional! She has you feeling so many feelings deeply, but the sadness.. wow you FEEL it like it’s your own or at least that of a dear friends.

Nick.. oh Dr. G Nicholas Barnes if one emoji could sum him up - 🔥 The man is HOT! Oooof! He’s a caring, loving, doting, dirty talking Dr.. does it get any better!?!? He is firmly on my book boyfriend list!♥️

Kat. I adore this girl! She’s the kind of girl you want as a friend. Such a caring, loyal, fiercely protective gal. My heart broke for her so many times over the trilogy, but her strength is unreal. She’s a fighter!♥️

The ending is simply beautiful. There’s no other word for it, it’s the perfect ending to their story and I have to stop talking about it or I’ll cry again!

Nick and Kat have engraved their initials on my heart (IYKYK!) I love them together, they are each other’s perfect other half.♥️

Thank you Layla for your OUTSTANDING books. You truly have a gift and I’m so grateful to have read them.🙏🏻♥️

Wow! Wow! Wow! Just finished the trilogy . . .
Nick Barnes wears arrogance like a suit of armor. One I want to peel off with my teeth.
Book 1 Deprivation: 4 STARS
Book 2 Fractured: 5 STARS
Book 3 Stronger: 5+ STARS

I realized as soon as I began Deprivation that the author was playing the long game. She was setting the stage, developing the characters, and building the tension - all in the name of a future payoff. And boy, did she succeed!

The series built on itself so nicely. The ending of book 1 shocked the hell out of me and shoved me right into book 2, but it was the third book that completely knocked my socks off. I became ridiculously invested in Nick and Kat and their tumultuous relationship. I just couldn't get enough!

If you're into . . .
✔ slow burn contemporary romance
✔ enemies to lovers
✔ a workplace setting (in an ER)
✔ a relatable, work-in-progress heroine
✔ an arrogant, yet vulnerable hero
✔ some serious twists and turns
. . . you've found your next read!

To start off, I want to thank Layla for writing Kat and Nick’s story. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love the Deprivation Trilogy. Kat and Nick finally come together in this final installment, but there are still questions to be answered.

After being put through the wringer, Kat is slowly putting herself back together. She doesn’t want to lose Nick, so she tries handling her own problems without involving him. However, Nick is still very much scarred by his divorce and the deceit strains their relationship.

I adore Kat and I feel so much for her. She is such a selfless, loving and strong character 🥺 Despite her life falling apart, she still manages to care for others. Nick has been the most patient, romantic and understanding boyfriend but he has his flaws. Ugh! He caused me so many tears. Do I agree with things he did? No. Do I see where he’s coming from? Yes. We get to know more about him and find out why he acted the way he did.

The pain, the angst, the heartache... I bawled my eyes out 😭 They pissed me off, they frustrated me but they also made me laugh. Relationships are not easy and couples are faced with challenges all the time. What’s important is finding that person who is willing to weather the storms with you no matter what. I love seeing their growth as individuals and also as a couple.

“𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐈’𝐦 𝐰𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧. 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫.”

Kat and Nick have the most supportive friends, families and colleagues. They add so much depth to the story, I’d love to hear their stories one day. Stronger is the perfect conclusion and I can easily say this is one of my favourite series of all time. I’m excited to see what Layla is in store for us ❤️

Um, excuse me ma'am but I was not ready for the heartache you just put me through. Watching Kat & Nick's relationship grow has been such a joy! And what you just put me through with them, had me over here crying.

I can't tell you guys how much I loved this trilogy!! I'm a little sad that it's over but I can honestly say that @authorlmfox wrote such an awesome and beautiful trilogy and it is most definitely worth the read!!

The ending to this trilogy was everything and is way more than what I was hoping for!! In a good way of course! My review this time is kind of short because all the things I want to talk about would definitely be huge spoilers and I want you guys to experience the roller coaster of emotions @authorlmfox put me through!

I am struggling to process how amazing this series was.

This book had again, more smut, more angst, more romance and sweetness and friendships and family.

This one is a HEA, and oh what a heartwarming one it was. I cannot think of two people that deserve their HEA more than Nick and Kat.

The shit they went through, the back and forth, the toxicity which went back to them being indefinitely endgame.. and when evefything cane yogether? In love.

Now: WAS IT FUCKIN NECESSARY? THAT DEATH? I ain’t gonna spoil it, but I’m still reeling from shock. I can see why it had to happen that way, the cards that lay in just the opportune way.. but damn. Heartbroken over here.

Ok, wow.... my heart is so heavy and full with the final conclusion of Nick and Kat's story. Nick totally should have done more groveling in my opinion. Also, does anyone else think that Jake's death was so left field and barely broached or talked about?!?!?!? We don't even get to hardly see Melanie after that heartbreaking and abrupt news!!! How is she doing?!?!? Is there going to be a book about her finding someone else?!?!? I NEED ANSWERS!!!!!!!!!!🤯🤯🤯😭😭😭

What can I say... I felt every single emotion in this book. This one was different than the first two. Don't get me wrong, there was still a ton of steam...but this book had emotions...so many emotions!!

This is the book that gave us the back story, the reason for all of Nick's issues with commitment and the wrapping up of the stories that have been building in the previous two books. I won't say much more, because I don't want to give it away, but I will say this book hit home with me, and the tears came fast and furious!

Nick and Kat... There story will stay with me for a long time. And I will add... I WANT MORE!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Well done LM Fox! Well done!!

It has been my absolute pleasure being a part of the ARC team for this series. Thank you for the advance copies in exchange for my honest review!

The final installment to the trilogy is finally here.
Kat and Nick are trying to get their HEA, but it is not easy. Not with the stalker still out there, especially when Nick doesn't know about that funny development at all.
Kat is afraid of disclosing her problems with Mark to Nick, thinking he would not see her as worth the trouble. But when it all comes crashing down, their relationship is put through the ringer.
I enjoyed the trilogy and I am looking forward to any future releases from LM Fox. She is a great story teller.
I received the book as ARC for review.

Not much better

Trying not to say spoilers, but basically this book could have been 1 long one. Rather than a romantic suspense, it was a story of how hard medical professionals work and manage their lifestyles. Extremely repetitive since obviously the author has knowledge as do I in the medical field. Nearly all the drama occurred in the last book but still left unanswered questions. For instance someone dying expresses not being guilty of a crime, so who did it. I regret having bought this series. It sounds as if the author needed to be mire relevant and end well. The ending is a little shocking, but didn't help endear the book more.

Stronger: The Deprivation Series (Book 3) by LM Fox

“I, I will wait, I will wait for you, like lovers do”- Andy Grammer 🎼

Goodness gracious great balls of fire! “Stronger: Deprivation Series Book 3” was the conclusion I did NOT expect, BUT, I’m so happy that it was!

LM Fox did not disappoint with the highly anticipated conclusion to The Deprivation Series! It answered so many of my questions. It was full of captivating, emotional, heartbreaking, surprising and amazing moments. It was a freaking crazy a** rollercoaster that left me breathless and made my heart hum with hurt and happiness all at the same time.

I have always loved Nick and Kat together. They get one another and have finally decided to take the chance on love again. Nick has been so patient and has always said, “I will wait for you!” And wait he did. ❤️ However, it hasn’t always been easy.

“Stronger” showed us how Kat came into her own. She was no longer a doormat to be stepped on. She was her own voice! Although Nick is as confident as they come, after his ex-wife put him through the ringer, he struggled with trusting women. Yet, it is completely evident Nick is so in love with Kat. “She’s the stuff dreams are made of” he tells his dad.

One of my favourite scenes is the “perfect date.” Oh Lordy ... I want Nick to take me on the perfect date. Not to mention, the spicy scene in his study and the airplane scene is also mention and note worthy! (Insert sigh and evil laugh here.) It was freaking smoking hot and left me panting for more! Definitely, two of many 5⭐️ “get togethers!” 😉

LM Fox also writes the supporting characters so well! I still love her BFF friendship with Nate! The protectiveness between the two are what BFF friendships are made of! The comfort and deep conversations they have always felt real. ” Life would be so much easier if people chose love over hurt.”

I loved the relationships between Nick, his father Garrett and Gavin. With some love, patience and understanding, it showed how family is not always blood. It’s the people who hold a special place in your heart.

I would love to tell you in detail all of my favourites scenes and unexpected surprises in this book. But, I truly don’t want to ruin the story for you. It’s a beautifully written journey of two people who were just meant to finally be happy!

This trilogy is not meant to be told by me. It is meant to be read and experienced by YOU! A definite 5⭐️

I liked this trilogy but I had a couple of strong opinions. Don’t read ahead if you don’t want spoilers.

The way that Nick treated Kat after he found out she didn’t tell him about Mark and the restraining order was totally unacceptable. He didn’t ask if she was okay or even let her explain. He said some really horrendous things about her infertility and ability to be professional at work even though he was the one acting immature and unprofessional. He stayed mad at her for wayyyy too long. It wasn’t like he got mad in the heat of the moment and said some things but then came to his senses and apologized. No. He literally refused to listen to HER apologies and blocked her number. He bagged this way for a couple weeks I believe and all because of his past trauma with his ex wife keeping things from him. He didn’t stop for a second to think about how her not telling him about Mark had to do with HER past trauma. It was all about him. Anyway I think that was really shitty of him and idk if I would be as quick to forgive and forget.

The other thing is that at the end of the third book they kill of Jake. That was completely unnecessary. It was at the very end and didn’t add anything to the story. Nothing happened as a result of his death so idk why that was needed. Maybe there’s gonna be another book about how Melanie deals with life after him? Idk but I don’t care and think they should’ve kept him alive. He was a good friend and a good character.

Overall I liked the series but I feel like more could’ve happened earlier. There wasn’t a lot of action or climaxes.

Great book, much better than the first one

This is a 3 book series that must be read in order. The first book was not great. The storyline is awesome, but the entire first book was a painfully long diatribe of all the heroine’s past horrible experiences with men. I almost did not finish it. The second book was much, much better as we finally got to the nitty gritty of her current life. Kat is an ER nurse with a lot of emotional baggage but a very good person. Nick Barnes is an orthopedic surgeon which ends up being the love of her life at the end. I gave this book 5 stars because I really enjoyed it over all and the ending was of course a happy one. BUT, there were some issues for me even at the end. One was the death of one of the main good guys in the book. A person who was married to Kat’s best friend Melanie and who took care of Kat like a brother would through the entire book. Jake was a wonderful man and his death served absolutely no purpose in this book. It came out of the blue and was never mentioned again. Why, LM Fox, did you kill Jake off? That was just uncalled for. Secondly, Mark, the stalker, who basically just hung out in the book and surfaced off and on to mess with Kat, suddenly went from a bad guy to a guy with problems that we are supposed to be somewhat sympathetic to. NO. Just no. Not realistic and also serves no purpose in the story.

Book 3 of the Deprivation trilogy. It started out as a slow read- which I was kind of frustrated because I felt like Book 2 Fractured definitely moved at a faster paced but I get it. Their story needed to be told and filled in the missing pieces for us. Kat and Nick- although in this book I’m going to say that Nick was Definitely the more stubborn one for a bit and I honestly wanted to pull his head out of his ass for him but I don’t want to give away much since the book is not yet released to everyone just yet but I want to say that it’s a very bittersweet love story. There is just so much love and lost and it literally brought me to tears. I cried tears of happiness and some of absolute sadness.

The reason for my 4 stars is absolutely personal and my girl LM Fox knows why!!!😩😩😩😩

If you’ve read the first two books- just wait until you read this one.

If you haven’t read the first two- stop right now and check them out. If you love anything to do with the medical field and drama and some hot chemistry between some docs. You’ll enjoy these reads.

What I really like about this story is that it’s real- the drama, the love, the feels you get. It’s not one of those girl meets boy girl falls in love girl and boy etc etc. it’s packed on drama and you want to see how it ends. Each books leaves you wanting more.

AHH.. An Emotional roller-coaster filled with heartache yet Sweetness that'll melt your heart 💕💕

I was so not ready for the roller-coaster ride this one was. That being said I absolutely love this Trilogy.
Especially this one which makes us work to reach those sweet times finally.

When the book starts, we see kat going through things and I felt for her. But I loved loved how understanding Nick and was always there for her.

We cruise along with Kat and nick in their happy bubble until a misunderstanding knocks and breaks everything for them.

Ahhh.. My heart.. I was so heartbroken and emotional for what I felt during those times.

Ms. Fox sure breaks our heart, makes it hurt and makes us struggle but then like a bright ray of sunshine also brings joy and happiness and lots of love back.

Oh my.. This book sure put me through a wringer.. Feeling so much but finally those moments made my heart sing and to see Nick and Kat so amazingly together, made me beyond ecstatic.

BUT THEN WHY OH WHY.. MS FOX.. DID YOU BRING THAT TWISTER NEAR THE END.. AHHH.. I WAS JUST SO ALL OVER THE PLACE 😭😭😭😭😭

But that ending... AHH... So beautiful and gorgeous and the feels. Family, love and happiness. Nick and kat gave me all that and more and I loved loved every moment of this journey. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh so excited for the spin-off in this series. Loved loved this one. 🥰🥰🥰

Kat has had a devastating few weeks. Due to night terrors keeping her from sleeping, something she needed desperately being an emergency room PA, her friend prescribed her some sleeping pills.

She was so happy that her nightmares turned into very erotic dreams until she found out they weren't dreams and a stalker is threatening to release photos that could end her career after she told him she wasn't interested in dating.

And if losing her sanity about what she could have done while asleep and wondering if she had been drugged and raped weren't enough, she had to have emergency surgery to remove an ovarian cyst which took away her chance of ever having children.

But Kat was ready to get back control of her life and the first order of business was getting a restraining order against her ex-friend, Mark.

What an amazing ending to this trilogy! The sexual chemistry between Kat and Nick is off the charts! This book will break your heart as more tragedy hits in a surprising twist.

This book is action-packed, full of amazing sexual escapades, suspense and danger. Highly recommend this series!!!!

Third & final book of the Deprivation Trilogy. LM Fox 🦊 was not joking about this being a roller coaster 🎢

It picks up where book 2 leaves off. Nick and Kat are still trying to figure out their relationship. Kat has something going on but refuses to tell Nick due to being worried about putting too much on Nick’s plate.

Nick is dealing with his past demons of mistrust and deception. He says some things that make me want to bop him upside the head. This book made me so teary eyed 😢 but so good! And there’s something that is very traumatic that happens towards the end of the book and it left me very unwell. But I understand a little of LM’s reason but still. She did us dirty 😭 Nick and Kat’s relationship definitely has an amazing arc and they grow and learn from their pasts and move on with their future. They both grow into amazing individuals as well as a couple.

Overall I LOVED this trilogy. It was SO good and I love the drama, the back and forth and the friendships and all the things. If you want a dramatic, romantic comedy, medical romance, please check this out! You won’t regret it!

I’ve read all books in the Deprivation trilogy and have decided to do a review that covers all three books and then share across.

When this was described as a slow burn… legit no exaggeration, in fact that was not expressed enough. I think the stories overall were written well, just a few minor tweaks here and there but it didn’t stop me from continuing.

I feel like there are quite a few unanswered questions that I would love some closure on.

I like the stories, some very interesting characters, some I would hope to see get developed further. I couldn’t really get over how Kat’s family initially came across and don’t think the resolution got enough air time 🤷🏾‍♀️ could just be me though.

Still no resolution on the outcome of the final accident (I won’t spoil it), in some ways the story jumped a bit in other ways it kind of dragged on.

To be honest I’m a bit undecided about how I feel after reading so I’m not really sure what else to write… might come back and finish up once I’ve had time to reflect.

I would recommend, they are quick reads…

A great conclusion to the series as Stronger puts you through allllllllll the emotions! Kat has finally met and let in the man of her dreams but life has also thrown in a lot of curveballs at the same time. Kat struggles to unleash it all on Nick, as they are still so early in the relationship. This finale was both heart warming and heart breaking. Highly recommend!
Throughout the series I’ve just LOVED Kat. Her personality is amazing; she’s so sweet, smart, and is someone I’d absolutely be friends with. Throughout all the adversity in her life, she maintains her amazing spirit.
Then there’s our swoony Dr. Barnes… who is broody, swoony, and infuriating at times! His character development is so good though!!
For the most part I loved all of the side characters too. I did find at time it being a bit hard to keep up with them all and remembering who is who, but the core peeps were great!

This is the third and concluding part of this intriguing trilogy, and many questions have answers. We get a background to why Nick is the way he is, sure he has his flaws, but his divorce and deceit put pressure on any relationship, but he has been patient and understanding with Kat. Kat is fiercely independent, and is slowly putting herself back together, and she is loving, caring, and strong, while putting others before herself. Nick and Kat are both equally stubborn, but they are now finally together, and while healing each other their relationship becomes stronger together. This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster, and with turmoil, betrayal, lies, angst, heartbreak, passion, family, friendships, humor, and love, which all leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Stronger by LM Fox is the final book of the Deprivation Trilogy. This one was just as amazing as the first two. Stronger really showed the downs of Kat and Nick, in the most realistic way.
LM Fox made not just Kat and Nick characters we fell in love with, but all their friends apart of that love too. Kat is slowly putting herself back together. She doesn’t want to lose Nick, so she tries handling her own problems without involving him. Nick has been the most patient, romantic and understanding boyfriend but, Nick is still very much scarred by his divorce. I adore Kat and I feel so much for her. She is such a selfless, loving and strong character .
The word building and character development in this whole series has been amazing! I highly recommend reading this book, if you like a slow burn, ER Romance, read the trilogy starting with Deprivation as it has everything.

This is my favourite book in the Deprivation Trilogy. The story is told by Kat and Nick’s perspective and is an emotional rollercoaster, make sure you have the tissues.

The world building and character development in this whole series has been amazing! Stronger is by the far the icing on the cake. LM Fox has our done herself with this mesmerising story of two damaged people. The question is can they come together or are they destined to be alone?

The chapter hooks In this book were magnificent, I couldn’t put it down, I just wanted to know what would happen. If I could have I would have finished it in one sitting, but of course life gets in the way of the perfect book world.

I really enjoyed this series and will read it again and again, Nick and Kat will always be in my heart. Thank you LM Fox for telling their story. You are an amazing writer and inspiration. 🤌🏻

The conclusion to the deprivation trilogy

I truly don’t have words for the feels this book made me feel. It was so far my absolute favorite of the year. The whole trilogy has been amazing but this third book just was beyond.

There are ups and down, which are super low lows that make you hurt. But also super high highs that make your heart scream in joy and love.

LM Fox made not just Kat and Nick characters we fell in love with, but all their friends apart of that love too. They way they are written and involved you truly put the book down feeling like their real and apart of your life and you grieve and celebrate with them.

I can not say enough how amazing this book and trilogy has been! I don’t want to move on, and luckily she is not straying far from this world with upcoming books. We will get more of these beloved friends.

The final installment to the trilogy is finally here.

What can I say... I felt every single emotion in this book. This story is different than the first two. Don't get me wrong, there was still a ton of steam...but this book had emotions...so many emotions!!

This is the book that gave us the back story, the reason for all of Nick's issues with commitment and the wrapping up of the stories that have been building in the previous two books.

Kat and Nick are trying to get their HEA, but it's not an easy journey. Not with the stalker still out there, especially when Nick doesn't know about that funny development at all.
Kat is afraid of disclosing her problems with Mark to Nick, thinking he would not see her as worth the trouble. But when it all comes crashing down, their relationship is put through the ringer.

What an amazing book! This is Book #3 in the Deprivation Trilogy by LM Fox. @authorlmfox

These are written in 1st person so it was as if the characters themselves were telling their story to the reader. This is always one of my favorites it just feels like i can see the whole story.

Kat has had a devastating few weeks. She wasn't sleeping because bad dreams and she so her friend prescribed her some sleeping pills. They seemed to help but also made things complicated

Someone is now threatening to release photos that could end her career after she told him she wasn't interested in dating.

What an amazing ending to this trilogy! The sexual chemistry between Kat and Nick is off the charts! This book will break your heart as more tragedy hits in a surprising twist.

This book is action-packed, full of amazing sexual escapades, suspense and danger. 10/10
