… and a world which is now fighting back

In 2056, there are over 9 billion souls inhabiting the Earth.
But how many will survive for 2057...?

Sixteen-year-old Rhyllien Ellis disappeared after witnessing her father’s brutal murder. Thirty-seven years pass before she awakens, unchanged, in a crystal cave deep within the Amazon.
Haunted by strange visions, she’s burdened with an insurmountable task: to save as many lives as possible with a cache of powerful crystals.
Spreading across the world, a mysterious sickness has killed thousands.
Any delay means more deaths.

In a world run by corporations, Rhyllien surviving the sickness means she knows of a remedy. Or she is the cure?
Either way, she’s worth billions... Alive. Or dead.

“Lively characters and fast-paced action set in a corporate-run future: a dynamic series kicks off with a bang!” Peter J Aldin, author of Third Contact & Eventide

From the author:

The Death Wave Chronicles is a blend of mythology and ‘weird science’, fringe science and pseudoscience. Throughout the storyline — more so in some novels than others — I will touch on subjects such as Gaia myth, Earth chakras, the power of crystals, ley lines/earth energy grid, druidism, UFO’s, aliens ... even Atlantis.
I hope you enjoy the read.

Andre Jones (aka A.J Gordon and A.A Jones) was born in Wollongong, NSW Australia, and currently resides in southern France with his very understanding Scottish wife and Gordon, our Jack Russell Terrier.

As a child, he devoured the works of Enid Blyton, Tolkien, McCaffrey, Asimov, Heinlein, and Bradbury just to name a few. As a young adult, he got lost in the many and varied roleplaying games, including MERP, GURPS, Harn, Skyrealms of Jorune, good old D&D (and its many variants), and Traveller … and spent far too much time on video games like Skyrim.

He wore many hats including; Security Officer, Police Officer, Park Ranger, and finally as a Petty Officer in the Royal Australian Navy for 18 years (sadly, his role-playing stopped there for too long).
As a Navy Veteran, his retirement has provided the opportunity to write, roleplay, draw, and potter to his heart’s content.

Currently, 2024, the Seven Portals series (Epic Fantasy) is complete and I am now halfway through on a new Urban Fantasy (Death Wave Chronicles).
RELIC (book 1) - out now,
DRUID (book 2) - out now.
SPHINX (book 3) - out now
Gnostic (book4) - 2024

He has a children's book soon to be released-
Gnome Henge - The Misadventures of Biff and Tiff

The first thing I noticed about Relic was the smooth set up of the scenes. The pacing was great, nearly mathematical in the precise way things hit the exact moment of full impact. The plot moved like a well-oiled, futuristic car.
The dialog, using the same analogy, was fine-tuned. It purred, and was never obtrusive. Some of it really brought the story to life. The main character, became even stronger when her role was downplayed:
"'Can’t I just be a kid?” Rhyll grumbled.'" Throughout the book, she is anything but just a kid. It became highly appropriate for her to "pick up the pain of others" as part of her powers. When the healing of the characters began, her premonitions were used as a fantastic bridge in connecting the moving parts of the plot.

The only downside? It would have been great to see a few chapters/scenes in Dan's pov.

The scene that brought Rhyll to the location to replace the disc into the crystal bed was the best example of suspension of disbelief I've seen in a while. It was beautiful.
A great read.

A fantastic start to the Death Wave Chronicles which is so far a super awesome sci-fi series. Action packed from the start, with a fabulous young female character and great side characters, treasure hunting, and a awesome plague! Honestly a plague is one of the best things I can find in a book, give me more!

This is another great series by Andre Jones, that I definitely will keep on reading. There was never a dull moment with all the action, adventure and great characters thrown into the madness of the world. You follow one young female adult that is the main protagonist here, while you also get some side povs masterfully written between her povs.

This is a series for you if you love - Indiana Jones, National Treasure, Shelter by Harlan Coben and Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Highly recommend reading this, as I had a ton of fun and it just keeps getting better and better the longer you get into the book.

I recently acquired this book at a book event, and having a limited budget, I'm always careful with my purchases. The cover stopped me in my tracks, and after reading the blurb, I was confident I'd made a good choice.
The good news is, I wasn't wrong. Full of action, a 16 year old girl wakes up after a long nap, and when I mean long, I'm talking 37 years. Adjusting to a world that has changed greatly, Rhyll finds herself constantly on the run, but makes new acquaintances on the way. Added to this is a mysterious virus that wipes out whole villages, but those with a genuine connection with nature possess some type of immunity.
I thoroughly enjoyed the pacing. Between action scenes, the story allows the reader to breathe for a while, as the characters try and figure out who and what is behind everything taking place. Looking forward to reading books 2 and 3 in this series.
