“I claimed him as mine, and now I have to pay for it.”
Not all werewolves are good. Some are bad, and Jeremiah is running with them. He’s infiltrated their pack, and he’s been on the road with them for years, blending in. As the pack grows darker, they finally cross the line.
They take a vampire captive.
He’s there for the pack to enjoy, to have their way with, but Jeremiah recognizes his voice, and something inside him shifts.
He claims the vampire.
And he’s never claimed anyone in his life. Hell, he’s never even been with anyone in his life, but now he’s playing house with someone who’s terrified of every move he makes.
This is a 81,000 word NON-MPREG, NON-Omegaverse paranormal romance between a traveling werewolf with deep wounds and a powerful vampire with a lot of baggage. Jeremiah and Logan's romance is one that blossoms against the odds.
Each book in the Werewolf Protectors series contains intimate scenes fitting for the characters. While there are recurring characters and themes, these novels can be enjoyed in any order.
Jules Monroe is a POC author who loves writing about things that go bump in the night. They like exploring the "what-ifs" associated with paranormal and supernatural and developing unique lore.
But for real, they just like writing about growly werewolf boys, prim and proper vampires, and any other types of shifters and supernaturals that strike their fancy.
If you're reading a Jules Monroe book, expect slow-burn, sensual romance between unique, diverse characters.
I was definitely intrigued by this dark MM werewolf romance & it is quite different to the other books that I have read in this genre. The plot is well-written with a “expect the unexpected” undertone & I will admit that the unpredictable scenes had me frantically turning the pages to see what would happen next. The characters are well-portrayed with realistic emotional feelings & their reactions to the unusual situations & events are believable (please note: there are some violence scenes involving female characters) It is about: a vampire (Logan Jackson) mourning the death of his lover (Ephraim) makes a serious error in judgment & lands up in a werewolf clubhouse where they have devious intentions in store for him, but things do not go according to the packs plan when a werewolf (Jeremiah Brooks aka Aces) steps in & claims Logan for his own. There is: werewolves, vampires, missions, an outlaw pack, abduction, human trafficking, twists & turns, intrigue, drama, suspense, action, adventure, memories, vengeful feelings, confrontations, manipulations, attractions, threats, danger, enemies, challenges, despicable plans, attacks, murder, conflict, violence, non-consensual scenes, misunderstandings, manipulations, compromises, mates, steamy scenes, contentment, love & a satisfying conclusion.
This is a well written MM werewolf romance with strong characters and an intriguing story line. The author does a great job painting her scenes and developing the story. She pulled me in with all the drama, suspense and action and had me glued to the pages with all the twists and turns along with the sizzling heat. She moves it fluidly and delivers a great read.

Mason tried to talk his friend, Jeremiah Brooks (“Aces”), into getting out of the pack he infiltrated – while he still could. But Jeremiah insisted he had to stay until his business was finished, for his family. The pack of werewolves he is in are not good, and he has been with them already for years. So Jeremiah came to warn Mason that the pack would be nearby and Mason should make himself scarce. His scent was already everywhere and he would be in danger. As they talked, a man came out with a message for Mason, then noticed Jeremiah who was oddly attracted to the man.
Several nights later, that pack will cross the line when werewolf D-Dog captures a vampire, Logan Jackson, and takes him to their club house for their evil sport. Logan could fight maybe 3 of them, but there were many more in the club house. They dragged him inside, but he wouldn’t fight and it made them angry. They smashed his face into the table, they slapped him. By the time he was about to be raped, a loud voice yelled, “MINE!” Jeremiah had recognized the pleading voice of the vampire, and he moved forward to claim him just as the vampire realizes he knows him and bursts into fresh sobs.
Jeremiah grabbed his tent and bag and carried the vampire into the woods. They had to device a way to keep him out of the sun when the pack rode out of here. Fortunately, Logan fit easily into Jeremiah’s canvas bag. How long do they need to keep this going? Will Jeremiah make a move or is he still waiting for his opportunity to move against this pack? And what will he do with Logan to keep him safe until then?
I liked Claimed by the Werewolf by Jules Monroe. I liked Logan and Jeremiah, aka Aces, and how they interacted together and how they interacted with the pack Jeremiah was a part of. I liked the plot and how it wasn't an instant love kind of story. I liked getting glimpses of what had happened to Logan and Jeremiah that made them who they are. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I had read the other books in the series first.

Full of strong images and activities that the worst of a biker werewolf gang can do, with very well written moments of tension. Some cameos from the previous books' characters, and a few twists and surprises, some foreseeable, some not quite.

Jeremiah and Logan's story is riveting and captivating. You are sent on an emotional roller coaster; Sorrow, pain, anger, loathing, fear, vengeance, friendship and love. All these emotions will have you not wanting to put this book down, because you are now invested in their journey. I know I was!! Enjoy your reading!! Blessings
I don't have any triggers when it comes to gay genre novels but I do when it involves women. I wasn't prepared for violence against women when I was reading an mm story. So those of you with triggers, be aware.

Dark, different, twists, and often times unpredictable. I loved it!
The author did a great job of providing a visual picture from one page to the next. Not only was it intriguing to take a vampire hostage but then turn around and claim the vampire. One sizzling surprise after the other.
