Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wow, I did not think the second book in the series could get any better than the first. But Dante and Iris proved me wrong.

Despite strange circumstances and a twisted attraction for each other, while they both battle their demons was an amazing but much of a roller-coaster like feeling.

I enjoyed the endless moments of wit, banter, and unsureness they held for each other in terms of feelings, and where they stood in their relationship. And trying to integrate themselves into a setting which was never really theirs in the beginning.

But I definitely know, saw, and believe that Dante and Iris truly did change a lot from the first book, despite the frickin first book ending on a cliffhanger. The acceptance came in a surge for each other and the setting, and the attraction and emotional understanding blossomed even further, which I didn't think would be even more possible, considering they're polar opposites (yes, I know, it's still hard to believe from the first book).

But Dante and Iris proved me wrong, in this delicious, heart-wrenching, full of sexual tension, blooming emotional understanding, and a setting hell bent on making them be one and be accepted too, this was a novel I was not going to forget.

Because frickin cliffhanger. AGAIN. Damn I hate those so much.

But eh, life be like that sometimes.

Until the next read,

-TMR

This book was amazing and had my heart racing with the pace of the book and the layers of the book and all the moving pieces. With all the moving pieces I truly could not book this down. It was amazing seeing Dante slowly let down his walls to iris and seizing this relationship develop. This couple still has so much more to search through and I really need book three now please

Fall continues where fever left off...
I’m totally loving Dante and Iris’ love/hate relationship.
I said Dante would break me and he has. His internal conflict between loving Iris and getting retribution for his sister has him in turmoil. He really is the ultimate anti-hero.
Iris is still her sassy, rule breaking self... always trying to prove she can’t be dictated to or controlled. As much as she doesn’t want to admit to it... Dante has her heart.
Timing, wrong place wrong time, good intentions that prove to be fatal mistakes... events unfold that just can’t be stopped had me screaming at my kindle.
The ending once again has me needing more... what will happen next?
Great read.

I was given an ARC but voluntarily chose to review

Hold on to your jungle hat as this pair will give you a serious case of whiplash!!

Another nail biting, frustrating, poetic trip to the Amazon where Dante and Iris can’t help but fight and ‘that other F word!!’

You’ll be shouting, puzzling and swooning and then another fluffing cliffy!!! Argh!

Can’t wait for the conclusion to read how this mind bending, hot and heavy muddle will all pan out!!

Suspenseful and engaging. This was a push and pull romance if there ever was one. At times it got to be a bit too much at the constant back and forth and rehashing of the same thoughts. However, the intensity of the storyline kept me clicking the pages.

This is the second book in the Jungle Oasis series. If you haven’t read the first book don't start this book, this series is a trilogy and you must read them in order, Iris and Dante's story isn't complete until book three. This book picks back up where the first book left of in a cliffhanger and all I can say is holy Wow! This book was awesome! Iris and Dante can't stay away from each other. He's her captor but she's drawn to him and he can't stay away even when he knows it is what's best for them both. I won't go into details to keep spoilers out but I will say that this book is page turning, heart pounding, pure reading enjoyment for lovers of dark romances. This book ends on a cliffhanger, can't wait for the final installment.

Beija Flor and El Fantasma; Iris and Dante; Enemies and Lovers

This review may  contain spoilers

Wow that just blew my mind, we pick up from that nail biting cliffhanger from FEVER and bam just jump right into the boiling pot. This book is jammed packed with suspense, mystery, explosive chemistry 💥🔥💋 and El Fantasma. We get to see more of Dante in this book, but El Fantasma just keeps making appearances. And Iris making those bad decisions; rebelling/defying El Fantasma and putting herself in danger, thinking that Dante won't hurt her or keep her prisoner for not listening to him. But it's too late Dante and El Fantasma are one. And we are left with an even more nerve racking cliffhanger, I cannot wait for Flame to come out. Autumn Archer bravo 👏 👏

Wow !! This series just keeps getting better and better . You can literally feel the tension and the chemistry between Iris and Dante as if it’s coming right off the page . My emotions where so all over the place , one minute they love each other the next they are hating one another . My oh my , I thought I was on a rollercoaster. One thing is for sure though I could not stop reading for one minute , on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book 📕 I simply am loving this series so much . What a fabulous job Autumn has done creating this new world full of steam , intrigue, emotion and a strong heroine who is not afraid to speak her mind , and Dante who is all kinds of swoony . I cannot wait to see how it all turns out

Received as an ARC and leaving my honest review.

The intensity does not let up in Book 2 and Dante is becoming more conflicted with his need for revenge and his obsession with Iris. The chemistry between the 2 are hotter than ever and it's an obvious push-pull to try and keep barriers up and emotions and vulnerabilities contained but it's a losing battle as feelings (lust, fear, pain, hurt, anger, confusion and maybe even love) are already involved and they are explosive!

Book ends on a cliffhanger where both are in a stand-off (a battle of wills) and I can't wait for the last book to find out if Dante finally finds what he needs, be it through revenge or love and redemption, and if Iris is strong enough to ride out the storm that is Dante.

4 1/2 Stars for this steamy adventure!

"Fall" continues where "Fever" left off. Iris continues to defy Dante knowing that he would never hurt her ... well, she hopes he won't hurt her ... no, she's pretty sure he won't hurt her. Dante doesn't know what to do with Iris already ... she just keeps pushing his buttons and testing his limits. The chemstry between Iris and Dante is so hot, it's burning the pages. I don't want to say too much and wreck it for others, but there are so many twists and turns that I had to pick my jaw up off the floor a few times. I can't wait for the next book "Flame".

All I can say is OMG!!! I thought the last book was amazing but this one is even better!!! Talk about red hot sizzling romance!!!! This book picks up where the previous book Fever left off ( if you haven’t read Fever then shame on you run get it and read it then grab this one) Dante and Iris are amazing together. She can push his buttons like no one else can. Dante is at a loss with what do do with such a fiery spirit. The surprises just keep coming and this book has so many twists and turns it’s amazing!

This is the second book in the trilogy and for best enjoyment I do recommend reading them in order. Iris and Dante’s story continues. This is a fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and emotion. The twists and turns keep you glued to your reader. Iris has broken Dante’s trust and now he is pushing her away. Is there a way for her to gain his trust back or will El Fantasma gain control? I really liked it.

Teetering Between Hate and Love

Dante feels betrayed by Iris and is unwilling to listen to her excuses. He has to separate himself from her before he loses control. The Dante, who Iris is falling deeply in love with is gone and the el Fantasma, who Iris is scared to death of, dominates. He takes her by helicopter and dumps her in the jungle, Iris is sure her death is inevitable. How could she ever trust Dante again after this even though their chemistry and her heart still draws her to him? Dante is set on getting revenge and does not want any part of history to repeat itself. He has to let her go. This is a steamy hot read with teeter tottering emotion and suspense throughout. The “Jungle Oasis” Series is definitely a page turn that captivates you with all the twists and turns from the first page till the last. The ending has me chomping at the bit to read Book 3.

Oh, dear. Iris has really done it now. She and Dante are at odds in this battle for the heart or vengeance. But which will win? One, both, or neither? Dante doesn’t want her, but can’t let her leave. Iris doesn’t want to love him, but she can’t help wondering if the glimpses she caught before were the real man, or if El Fantasma is the real deal. So their war continues.

Sure, this book serves as a bridge from then to now. And it brings the past to the present. But that’s also the intent here. The why, the how, the need for justice cloaked in revenge, the love that can’t claw to the surface...or shouldn’t, anyway. So will Iris and her desire to do right win in the end? Somehow, I don’t think the answer is anywhere near that simple. Will Dante or El Fantasma be the victor? And what about those who helped Iris, thereby possibly sealing their own fate? Now I have to wait a while longer to find out!

Very intense from page one in this second part of the trilogy. You'll never believe what he does to Iris after he confronts her with what happened in the first part, holy moly. False hope is what Iris feels all the time, her relationship with Dante, if you can call it that, is very complicated. I loved the braille comment and, sour, sweet, poisonous, and "only blossoms in the darkest night", and most especially, "hungrier than starvation." Totally a page turner and now there is another consequence for her actions and she's worried what he will do. Can't wait for the final chapter in this trilogy. A super awesome read leaving me wanting more!

I am so hooked on Iris and Dante's story.
The suspense , and angst has me sitting on the edge of my seat , and holding my kindle right .

This isn't a story that you can easily predict , so each turn of events sucks you into the story even further , desperate to find out what happens next .

Such a brilliant story , a must read

Oh darn.. this book is just getting better. The hate/love between Iris and Dante grows stronger and honestly he needs to make his mind up. Cause he will give her an whiplash with his back and forth.

This book has steam and it also has a woman that isn't afraid to speak her mind even if it might not always be so good.

I can't wait to see what will happen in book three.

There was nothing missing from the end of fever to the beginning of fall. The chemistry was still amazingly hot and dante and Iris are still in a powerful struggle over the relationship that he doesnt seem to want but she does. The stakes get a little deeper when she gets caught trying to get a letter to her sister and he freaked out. I was very concerned that that might be the end but it wasn't. This cliffhanger is making me even more desperate for the 3rd book.

Holy Breath Stealing!
Autumn Archer took me back to the Jungle Oasis for more Dante and Iris and boy did I devour every word of this story.
From the first page until those dreaded 'to be continued' words the story had me gripped.
As events between Dante and Iris unfolded I was holding my breath, gasping in shock and surprise, quietly swooning, feeling a little flushed, and sitting on the edge of my seat desperate to know where this story would lead.

Dante the anti-hero. This man aches my heart, makes me frustrated, has me slightly swooning, feeling hot and bothered, all the while wishing he could accept a HEA.
Iris the sassy and strong heroine I absolutely love.

Autumn Archer's words are like poetry and I can't help but get lost in them.
Every single part of me is desperate for Book 3.

A Highly Recommended Read! But make sure you start with book 1 FEVER.

I absolutely loved this series until the last 20 pages or so of book 2. Iris' character goes from smart, sexy and intelligent to stupid, careless and reckless. She inadvertently rains chaos and destruction on the very man and people she says she loves and cares about. Her actions in the last portion of this book is one misstep after another that leads to death and chaos. She is a one-woman wrecking crew. whose actions have no concrete basis other than her emotional state of mind. It becomes too much about her and not enough about how her actions inadvertently effect others.

It's disheartening that her character becomes a doomed "Florence Nightingale" instead of doing what she is told. Throughout this series she pushes the envelope several times, but what she does at books' end isn't something that can be ignored or forgotten. I expected more from her character and was so disappointed that this smart intelligent woman turns into a dumbed down idiot by books' end.

The lead-up to the final few chapters of this book was everything that I could have asked for as a reader. The author is a powerful writer when it comes to her character development, storyline and sexual chemistry. Dante and Iris' attraction/love story is soul searching and profound. Ms. Archer knows how to develop sexual chemistry between her characters that will bring any reader to their knees. Her writing and prose is so well done that the reader is invited into a visual paradise which paints landscapes and themes that are an adventure in themselves.

I may not agreed with how this book ended but look forward to the final book in this trilogy. Hopefully Iris will regain what made her such a good character throughout much of this trilogy and she and Dante will find their HEA. It's one of those books that could go so many ways in the final book of the series. Enjoy.

Autumn continues Dante and Iris's story in Fall. Autumn has your stomach in knots, heart beating faster and unable to put this book down.

At the end of Fever, Dante felt betrayed by Iris and has to do something about it. He decides he needs to get rid of her but the way he does has you wondering if she will be ok. When he finds out what was in the letter she wrote, he realizes he made a huge mistake. When he finds her, can he get her to forgive him? He treats her like she is the best thing in his life. He tells her that she is leaving but he is struggling with his decision. He wants to be with her but he still has to find and deal with Miguel. He leaves without saying goodbye and it breaks Iris's heart. How will he deal with Miguel when he finds him? What happens when he comes back and she is supposed to be gone? What will Dante do to Iris after she tries to act like a hero? Will he let let her leave now or will she be a prisoner or a lover?

Iris cannot believe what Dante did to her. He would not listen to her and she thought he cared about her. When he comes for her she tells him she will never trust him again. How does he get her to lower the shield around her heart? She wants to be with him but agrees to leave. When she realizes he left without saying goodbye she is angry and hurt. How will she act when he returns and she is supposed to gone? When she does something heroic, how will Dante react? Her life is in his hands now.

This story had me going from hating to liking back to hating Dante with the way his character develops. Dante and Iris have this chemistry that is explosive. I honestly cannot wait for Fame, the next book in the series.

I swear these cliffhangers are going to be the death of me.
Just when I think everything is on the right track, that rug gets pulled straight from under my feet.
I honestly don’t know what to think anymore.

Everything keeps building up.
Love.
Hate.
Desire.
Rebellion.
Chemistry.
The sense of foreboding.
To simply use the word “intense” would be a huge understatement.

There’s this constant, palpable uneasiness, and it has you permanently on edge.

El Fantasma’s revenge plans and their unknown repercussions are a big part of it, sure.
The jungle oasis setting definitely contributes to it.
But me, personally? I mostly blame it on the complexity of Dante as a character.
No matter how hard you try, his mind is unknowable.
Unpredictably reigns supreme.
It’s unsettling but in a strangely engaging, rewarding way.

Hey, what do I know? Maybe this story is bad for my moral compass.
Maybe it should matter. Only it really, really doesn’t.
I’m neck deep into this plot and characters and there’s no turning back now.
Everything hurts.

Iris Kitson has evolved and is slowly transforming into the woman she will need to become in order to survive it all: the jungle, El Fantasma, Dante, love, and maybe even herself.

Dante is reverting back to his old ways and I’m honestly afraid of what’s coming our way.
Autumn Archers’ particular brand of dark romance is killing me softly and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Who’s ready for book 3?
‘Cause I don’t think I am.
The end is near.

Exciting, thrilling and entertaining!

We are thrust right back into the story where Fever left us last and it’s just as exciting and thrilling as ever! This is one story that keeps you gripping your kindle tightly and turning the pages quickly to see how it all plays out.

Dante and Iris continue to keep us fully captivated and enthralled with their love/hate relationship. We continue on one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride of intensely heated moments of hate and then steamy sizzling moments of passion! The back and forth, push and pull of power between them kept me biting my nails and fanning myself with all of their heated interactions. These two are absolute FIRE and will melt the panties off anyone!

This story will continue to pull on your heartstrings and keep you on edge throughout. You may catch yourself screaming out loud and wanting to hurl your kindle at the wall at times! But you will find yourself swooning with lust for Dante and Iris and hoping they get some kind of happy ending.

I can’t wait for the conclusion of this amazing story!!

Fall is the continuation to Fever and this book left me with chills all the way through. I was so mesmerised with this story. I felt every emotion that Dante and Iris felt. Ms Archer has knocked this way, way out of this world. I thought the first book was an amazing read but this book, to me, is ten times better than the first and I know that the next promises to be absolutely mind blowing. Heart wrenching and very haunting this story will touch your soul with every word you read and it will totally captivate you. You cannot help but to fall in love with these characters and we saw a vulnerability to them both that had me very emotional. I could not put this book down and even when I had finished I held my kindle in my hand and shook my head to deny that I had finished. I have read some truly amazing reads and I know that this book will be with me for a long time to come. Five stars do not do this book justice. I am so eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.

You will fall deeper into the jungle, you will fall deeper under the trance that surrounds Dante and Iris and finally you will fall deeper under the spell of secrets and emotions. As we are taken for another mind reeling journey between these two you will be holding your breath, biting your nails and on the edge of your seat. There are twists and turns and a chemistry between these two that has an intensity that will blow your mind. You will be pulled between love and hate in such a way at times you are not sure which side of the line you really want to be on. Dante will steal your heart one minute and crush it the next. Iris will draw you in but then push you away and have you torn between cheering and yelling. As the Jungle surrounds you, you will be held captive by revenge, obsession and ultimately a potent love that is brewing deep within. Hold on tight because you will be teetering on the edge awaiting the conclusion to this trilogy.

I received an ARC for an honest review. The author wrote Desire. Hatred. Lust. Revulsion. That pretty much describes the flow of the book. Dante and Iris had me suffering from whiplash due to their emotions one minute to the next. Dante is trying to do the right thing and send her home and get her away from his life and violence. But Iris keeps screwing this up. If I didn’t know better I would think she was there to spy on him. She is constantly finding herself in places she shouldn’t be and not where she is supposed at times. It does kind of look bad. Has she messed too many times? Is he willing to give her another chance? Only the next book can answer that. This is a romance but it is dark. There is lots of violence, hatred and revenge. The sex scenes are steamy but on the rough side. I can’t wait for the next book to come out. I need to see how this revenge rolls out and what happens with Iris and Dante.

Wow! Great second book!! Amazing story so far!!
Dante and Iris get so much closer and he just about relents and sends her home.
So dramatic and the suspense was wild in this book.  Had me on edge and reading so fast to keep up with the action.
I really adored the chemistry between Dante and Iris,  their love hate,  push pull, tug of war relationship that was so full of conflict that you have to wonder if they will ever get it right.  I am really loving Dante now though,  now that I understand him more.  And I'm enjoying how Iris is coming into her own identity, with power to stand and reason with him. So good.
This is very well written, with all the feelings there on the page and that makes this story so involving.  Highly impressed! I can't wait for the third book to come.
This was an ARC and this is my honest review.

This book starts where the first one left off.

Dante feels betrayed but Iris and this causes problems between them. He sends Iris home hoping its for the best because of his life. But things don't go as planned and she ends up popping up in places she wasn't expected to be. This causes Dante to be suspicious of her but when he realizes that he was wrong about her Dante tries to get her back. Will Iris give him another chance? What's Iris really up to?

This is a great story that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. There's a cliffhanger so be warned. I would read this first book before reading this one. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
